I made an appointment for a flu vaccine for myself at 9:30 am and for my husband at 9:40 am for Thursday, August 28, 2025. We arrived on time but the pharmacy was closed. The cashier at the front of the store said the pharmacy didn't open until 10 am. Then why oh why did Walgreens give us our appointments?! We returned at 10 am to find the gate still down at the pharmacy and 6 people waiting in line. When I explained what happened to the woman working in the pharmacy area she said they were having some trouble with their scheduling system and if we wanted to we could join the line and maybe still get our flu shots. No apology. We left. Then today I got a nagging text message from Walgreens saying "sorry we missed you" as if I was the one who didn't show up. Did I want to reschedule? No! I will never go to Walgreens again. read more

This Walgreens replaced the rite aid which was here until October 2019. It has a private parking lot that is easy to get in and out of. I was looking for pimple patches, which they didn't have, but we asked a woman at the register if they did and she actually came around to the skin care aisle and helped us search and was super helpful. We still ended up buying something and the checkout process was a bit of a kerfuffle to sign up for their rewards program but she was still super kind and apologized for the process that really wasn't too bad. It's also a great place to pick up cheap Maine souvenirs. read more

Andrew the pharmacist is so great. The people are usually very friendly. However, my last three interactions have been very unpleasant. A rude woman answers the phone and barks requests and the whole thing is uncomfortable. It also now takes about 10 min to get through to talk to the pharmacy where before it took 1 min and everyone was helpful. Please bring back the friendly pharmacy techs. read more

Literally hate this store. The pharmacy people are always so negative , un helpful, and rude.

On Wednesday, January 5th, I phoned in two prescriptions. The recording always says they will be ready the next day at 10am. I stopped in to the Walgreens Pharmacy at 10:30am on Thursday, January 6th. My prescriptions were not ready and I was told to come back in twenty minutes. I came back two hours later and was told again that my prescriptions were not ready. Could I come back in twenty minutes? The pharmacist said she had to count the pills. No. I could not come back a third time. There was a snowstorm on Friday, January 7th, and the pharmacy is closed on Saturday and Sunday. I understand that there was only one pharmacist on duty, but their customer service is terrible. The sales people in the Walgreens store are always very nice and helpful. I would not recommend the Walgreens Pharmacy to anyone. read more

I was racially profiled and rudely assumed by the cashier to have taken a drink and put it in by bag. I was so shocked and really sad that this person would assume such a thing, and there was a white person who I was with that also had a back pack and was not asked to open their bag or assumed they had shop lifted. Really disgusted by this treatment, and the cashier said I was not suppose to bring my bag inside the store since it's not allowed. I have never heard of a Walgreens having this rule, and there were no signs/ postings anywhere in the store that bags weren't allowed. I have been visiting and used to work nearby Rockland for quite some time and haven't experienced such overt racism in Maine. I don't suggest coming here if you are a BIPOC it is not a welcoming and safe place! read more

Long lines, slow service at the pharmacy. Hard to get through on the telephone. Some critical medicines not available.

The people down front are always on top of everything. The pharmacy has its days but it's mostly because they are understaffed and have liaison's coming in who don't know their way around. Once they get a regular crew back in there, there should be no problem. But whenever I'm having an issue with the pharmacy that's why. I go to this store 5+times a week I know ALL the staff by name and am well recognized when I walk in it's the primary store I use. Please take my word for it they are trying the best they can. read more
