A great pharmacy; they are efficient, careful, and knowledgeable and care about their customers!

This is a family run pharmacy that used to be in downtown Rockland until Camden national bank took their building. It's always a very friendly and unstressful experience, even though it can get pretty busy. I had tried to refill a 90 day prescription at Walmart in Thomaston where they were going to charge me $78. When I was in Seattle, the Safeway pharmacy I went to charged me $20 for the same quantity (which I've now realized was abnormally low). I decided to try Jensen's in the hope that I'd pay less and even if I did have to pay that much, I'd rather give it to a small business. I went to Jensen's and asked how much it would be before they filled it. They listened to my Walmart story and said they would charge me $50. I also was easily able to get my doctor to call so I could get an early refill before I leave the country. Jensen's quickly filled it. They also have a lot in the actual pharmacy that is hard to find elsewhere. Like vanicream sunscreen! I will be coming here for all medications. read more

Stopped in from out of town for antibiotic ointment and bandaids. Great home town feel. What a local pharmacy was and should still be. Pharmacists were knowledgeable and friendly! If you're staying at Samoset Resort, it's the closest pharmacy. read more

The service they provide is always top notch--they don't make you feel like you're inconveniencing them, they are patient and will call the insurance company on the spot if an RX isn't covered that you think should be. Jensen's Pharmacy is a thoroughly professional, ethical, and welcoming drug store. The personnel led by Curtis Jensen keep impeccable records of prescription histories and get to know their customers. The facilities are a 21st Century update of an old-fashioned pharmacy including the personal service. They will advise you on the best way to get your RX filled so that your insurance covers the med. As a summer resident I appreciate the low-key, friendly atmosphere in the store and wish that my pharmacy at home--one of the big chains--was as helpful, courteous and efficient. When's the last time you walked into a pharmacy, were impressed by the beauty and elegance of the store, were greeted by the pharmacist by name and invited to enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea while you waited? What's that you say? Never? Well I'd never had that experience either until yesterday when I had a the pleasure of having a prescription filled at the new Jensen's Pharmacy in the Breakwater Marketplace in Rockland. After Rite Aid, Walmart and the big supermarket chains squeezed out every last independent pharmacy in town, Curtis Jensen seems to have had a vision to challenge the big boys and bring back the independent neighborhood pharmacy offering friendly and personal customer service. The space is beautiful, thoughtfully laid out with a sitting area and fresh coffee available, and the price I paid for my prescription was no more than I am used to paying at the local chain stores (where I am treated more like an inconvenience than a valued customer). I will be transferring all my prescriptions to Jensen's and look forward to supporting this lovely local, independent pharmacy. I urge you to do the same! read more

Curtis, is as professional as one can be. The store is a pleasure to visit. The staff is awesome. Did you ever find yourself in a terrible bind-away from home (3000 miles away) and running out of an essential medication you can't do without? I called my big city pharmacy back home, and they refused to mail me my prescription...in rather a hoity toity voice. I was nearly distraught. But being here in Maine, I googled local pharmacies and hit the bullseye with Jensen's. I'm pretty sure Kelly, who answered the phone, is a guardian angel part time. She told me to call my doc back home and have him send the prescription before 4pm, and it would go out to me, ten miles out to sea, in today's mail. I did as she suggested, and (I am not making this up) within ten minutes I had a message from Jensen's that the prescription was ready! I was so gobsmacked that I called the store. Yup! Ready, going to the mail, AND she had even looked up and logged my insurance!! To top it off, she said anytime I needed something just call, and they'd send it right out. There is no other pharmacy in the region much less the world I would rather go to than Jensen's Pharmacy. I moved to Maine from CT. in April and was very concerned about finding another pharmacy that took care of me like the one did in CT. Not only did Curtis Jensen fulfill those shoes but he surpassed. His kind and caring professionalism is beyond compare. He and staff are wonderful people and take the time to get to know you--they don't look at you like you're a number. Jensen's is such a calm place to walk into, the decor is refreshing, the sounds and lighting are perfect. I have a special needs son who loves going to Jensen's because of the cookies they sometimes have. If you don't have your prescriptions filled there now, change to Jensen's right away. You are missing out on a truly consumer-driven and family-friendly experience. read more

Curtis and his staff are incredibly nice and polite. I switched all of the prescriptions over to there after my first visit. Supporting local businesses is very important to me, the customer service alone is worth it. The pharmacist's at Rite Aid have always been incredibly rude to me, and never thought twice weather or not them taking their merry time would make me late for work or not.
