Not sure why it's listed 2x's? This has turned out to be one of those "3 strikes and your out" sort…read moreof situations. I have gone there exactly 3 times in my life, and each and EVERY time something happened. By "something" I mean issues occurred. The first time I was overcharged for 3 items (that were listed on sale, but not yet corrected in the system as such). I didn't realize until I had left, and do not live near this Walmart. I tried to correct this issue at another Walmart, but evidently prices can vary (depending on the Walmart) and you have to go back to the actual Walmart you have the issue with. The other Walmart would not call to verify the price discrepancy or correct the issue, and the 1-800 number for Walmart only takes a report and cannot help you either :(. Hoping this helps save someone else from making the same mistake I did, because you have to take it back to the Walmart the issue is actually with....though I thought "a Walmart's a Walmart right?!" WRONG! STRIKE ONE! On my next visit I did a grocery shop visit, and ended up with a BIG box of expired cereal....not like by a few days, a few weeks, but rather a few months (3 to be exact). Now I realize Walmart has a LOT of food, but there is a system set in place to prevent this, and their employees should be on top of issues like this so as to prevent this from occurring. Now, I realize "expired" doesn't always mean its "bad" or your going to be made sick by the item. However, it was only noticed by my family due to the fact that my daughter said "woah mom, what the heck is wrong with this cereal....it STINKS!" Lucky no one ate it, but after seeing the expiration date, we called them to let them know so they would pull the item from the shelves (so as to help other customers not be stuck with this same issue as we were). When I called in, one of the manager's on duty stated, "oh sure WE WILL HELP just bring the item back in and we'll refund you" Not exactly sure how THEY helped, when that's my time, gas, and extra steps to be taken to have THEIR issue corrected?! STRIKE TWO! So, I must be cruising for a bruising in the fact that I stepped foot in this particular Walmart again, but none the less here's my story.....I was near this location, needed to check out possible Lego options for one of my son's birthday coming up (he turned 8)...and found this great set on sale that I knew he would LOVE! I notice its taped shut on one end though, I ask for a Manager, and he states that in the shipping process, sometimes the box gets a little crushed and they taped it to ensure nothing would fall out. Sounds plausible. I am at checkout, thinking of this "great" deal, but then begin to revisit the concern I have about the taped shut end of the box once again. I ask another Manager covering checkout who stated "yeah boxes can accidentally pop open, and we tape it back" I asked both of the Managers further questions like "why and how this would happen", "aren't they in boxes with multiple sets in it", isn't it possible something could have fallen out", ect. But they ensure me that they wouldn't put it back on the shelf with anything missing, and all contents will be in the box. I have a feeling you already know where this story is going you smart Yelper you....day of birthday my child opens, is thrilled....UNTIL he opens and finds NO instruction booklets, and no stickers that should be in there for the pieces :(. FOUR instruction booklets needed, ALL were missing?! The head store manager follows up with me after calling the 1800 number TWICE to apologize to us about the issue and try to correct the situation stating "they should have offered to open up the box" of which I should have thought of that too....but hey I felt i was being careful and proactive in asking two different managers prior to purchase and trusted their word as truth....of which I won't be doing again....great....now I just sound cynical :). LOL STRIKE 3 Now, as a side note worth mentioning, Lego said they would help by sending the missing booklets and stickers which was great! Walmart Lead Supervisor, Keneshia Roddick did finally "assist" in trying to make the sad birthday gift situation right by stating she would order replacement set. However when I called this week that it was ordered and sent to my house as promised...she said she had been in and out of office and never received faxed info (though she has received the one prior) and also didn't return my call from day prior either?! She said I could come in and pick up gift card instead, and so once again I had to take extra steps, and just did so to be done with it. But overall, with that many issues at one location, and an issue occurring every time I come to shop here.....that's just a clear sign I should avoid this Walmart all together, unless I want to invite trouble into my life.....which I'm kinda thinking.....Nah, not so much

For the locals, they already know. All others: This is an older, smaller version of the Walmarts…read moremost have come to know. The first shocker for me was they close nightly - I didn't know that existed, but this 1 does. And being smaller, it doesn't offer as many options as most Walmarts. I have noticed lately it is adding different options than it did previously, so that's a good thing. But that being said, it is not what we expect when we think of Walmart.

The best independent pharmacy I have ever used! They go the extra mile in helping you out,…read moreremember who you are, and are just great caring people. Go, Carrboro Family Pharmacy!

I live in NC not CA I have been in charge in picking up…read moreother peoples' pharmaceuticals (hereafter "meds") for a great deal longer than I have been picking up my own. I was responsible for: my aunt; a combat officer from Nam; a close friend who had chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) for 15 years. [She actually became happy with a diagnosis of cancer- because she finally had a "real" diagnosis]; another close friend, my mother, my son & my ex-wife. I have been in VA Hospital pharmacies, regular Hospital pharmacies, pharmacies in NJ (including the old time Pharmacy in Westfield, NJ where I grew up), the old time pharmacy in Chapel Hill down toward Carrboro (right side of Franklin St) that vanished decades ago, the 24 hour CVS in X Plaza (where I met a woman who never smiled in my sight for 7 years), & the old "dope shop" on Ninth St in Durham. In addition, since I traveled as a wetland delineator, I have been in Rite-Aids, Walgreens, & CVS pharmacies all over NC: including the Manteo CVS (helpful, well stocked) and the Nags Head CVS (not well-stocked, but still helpful) and a dreadful CVS in Jacksonville (who have joined the general incentive there to separate the Marines from their money as quickly as possible). I've been ignored, snapped at, stared at with no comprehension at all, had the legality of my own doctor's prescription questioned ("Where did you get this?"), & overcharged. I have been told "I'm sorry; this is the only manufacturer we have in stock." & "I'm sorry but that medication doesn't exist." & "I'm sorry but Medicaid still hasn't cleared this. Maybe tomorrow they will. Can you come back then?" & "We don't stock that. Can you go to the CVS in X (a town 30 miles away)?" Carrboro Family Pharmacy in Carrboro Plaza(at 104 NC Hwy 54 Ste J Carrboro, NC 27510, 919.933.7629) has always been reliable, well-stocked, polite, extremely knowledgeable, & helpful with any confusion I had about my meds or their side effects. I've had very few problems with anyone, or any medication, at Carrboro Family Pharmacy in Carrboro Plaza (from clerks to pharmacists). If I did, they have immediately tried to fix it, and they have either succeeded, or found another road to reach my goal. They accept my goal as their goal. I can easily discuss manufacturers with them (certain generics don't work with me) and they have special ordered more suitable manufacturers for me at no extra charge. They are easy to talk to; have easy access to the pharmacists from the front; you can talk directly to a full pharmacist (not some kind of PA); and you can tell that they care enough to want to deliver top notch professional assistance to you concerning your meds. Not at all like the idiot-staffed BS I have always experienced with the oligopoly that has taken over the entire drug market in North Carolina (Walgreens & CVS). Carrboro Family Pharmacy in Carrboro Plazacombines old-fashioned customer service with swift proficiently using all the 21stcentury tools. Further they have a helpful staff that combines concern, compassion and unfailing politeness with knowledge & real ingenuity in fixing problems that arise. I've been converted. I'll never go anywhere else again. (Humana mail-order can take a flying leap into...) Go there & you will never again be "helped" by someone who glances at their watch before they look at you; then looks at you with eyes showing just a hint of intelligence (& no interest at all); & then asks you in a monotone "Kinihelppu?"
