I was in a lot of pain. I had two handwritten prescriptions from a specialist in Louisiana - one was a control substance so an ID was required. Alas! It's a Louisiana license and the simpletons eyes widened as they mumbled and whispered amongst themselves. The unwashed red headed man mumbled "they're outsiders" I cleared my throat and the dirty tech looks then says "sorry you're from Louisiana and you're doctor is from Louisiana there ain't no way I can fill this for you. It's not allowed. You have to go somewhere else. You get on back to Louisiana." To which I replied "To Walgreens down the street we go..." Walgreens filled it no Problem.

Walgreens is absolutely the worst for dealing with when it comes to your prescriptions. After five…read moretrips to the store to pick up my prescriptions they are still not ready after 3 days. Yet their phone system tells me they are ready for pick up and even gave me the price. I live 45 minutes from a Walgreens that's an hour and a half of driving time to go and come from my house. The first time I had to drop the prescription off I had to wait in line for over an hour while they were on their lunch break. There were supposed to be back at 2 pm. They eventually started scrolling back at around 10 minutes after 2 saw everyone waiting there which was approximately 8 people. Then it still took them another ten minutes before they open the door for someone to go and give their prescriptions. I went back the next day to pick my prescriptions up and they weren't ready. Then I went back the next day and they still were not ready. On the third time they had a screw up on the prescriptions so I had to give them all the information all over again then they finally found my prescriptions. After they put them in the computer they told me that they would be ready at around 8 p.m. yesterday. That was September 30th. Before I went back out there again I decided I would call today October 1st to check and see if they confirm that my prescriptions were ready for pickup. I drive another 45 minutes there and when I get there the lady tells me she can't give me my prescriptions because I put them in yesterday and I have to wait 24 hours before I can pick up the medication. Who ever heard of such a thing. If a doctor gives you a prescription and tells you to start the medication immediately there's telling me that after prescription is in they can't release it for 24 hours. I think they're making up the rules as they go. Not to mention that when I did go online to attempt to fill the prescriptions they told me I couldn't feel them online because I have to call it in. When I called it in they put me on hold for 45 minutes and then hung up on me I will never feel any prescriptions at Walgreens ever again I'd rather pay a higher cost somewhere else and get better service

We ended up choosing a terracino, which was a wedge of roasted almond ice cream. We learned more history about the ice cream company, and then headed down the street to check out the original ice cream HQ down the street which is now a French patisserie!

How lucky were we that this place is open 24 hours!…read more An airport mishap caused our bags to go missing and probably won't make it to our hotel until the next day... maybe two... so we stopped by to score basic needs - mostly toiletries. Staff was friendly - even during odd hours of the night - "You have no toiletries?" (Clearly she knew we were tourists.) We explained the whole missing bags thing to clear that up. They had everything we needed - clothes included - because who knows how long before our bags get delivered! Prices were reasonable - none of the tourists rates some places charge. What made it better is that it was only a couple of blocks away from our hotel. We returned a couple more times during the week for more basic stuff - mostly snacks, water and other rehydrating drinks. What I mostly appreciated is how conveniently located it is. In the situation we were in, we were grateful for it being where it is!
