This Walgreens pharmacy & everyone of its' employees and employers are the absolute WORSE.
Monday, I was in the ER for a bee sting. I pickup my 7-day antibiotic prescription. But by Wednesday, between a plethora of errands I misplaced the prescription.
Fast forward. I contact Walgreens and ask them could they please give me one day (ONE DAY) supply until I could get the approval from my insurance and Doctor to pick up a replacement prescription.
Walgreens said NO.
The following day (48 hours later), my provider redirected the prescription to Walgreens as a priority pickup. I again contacted Walgreens (on 2353 Ocoee Apopka Rd.) And this time I conferenced with my provider and Walgreens to ensure when I went to pick up the medicine this time, it would be ready and I could continue with my directions from the doctor.
The little Indian woman behind the counter assured us the prescription was ready for pick up and she apologize for the inconvenience.
When I got to Walgreens (a third time driving to that location & 3x speaking to the same Indian woman!!!) I gave my name as she demanded money for the prescription. I asked her did she remembered me and the conversation we had on the phone with my insurance company and she said YES.
I did not mind paying for the prescription, but it was disturbing to me that she didn't tell me this over the phone nor did my insurance company say I would have to pay for the error. When I told her the insurance company did not say I had to pay for the error she said "....fine! Then you'll have to wait until the next day to pick up the prescription & then it'll be free."
This would make three days of not taking my medicine because of the incompetence of those people.
This Walgreens location does not put health or its customers first. They are untrained, unprofessional, and unreliable. Horrible!
Worse part. I'm having surgery on Friday & I explained that to the Walgreens (female with tattoos all over her body) manager, and she still said she could do nothing. read more
