I have been using this pharmacy for my sons medications for about 4 years now. I recently had the worst experience I have ever had there. Overall they have long lines when you go in, there are few people working behind the counter. I usually have experienced average customer service from the techs at the counter. i have only had one tech that went above and beyond. Today, was the worst experience ever. I went to pick up a script for my son and the girl behind the counter had an attitude already with the customer prior. Very passive aggressive with an attitude. She asked if I was paying with GoodRx, I stated no, my son has insurance. She then stated that the script was for tablets. I did not get the correlation between the insurance not covering because the script was for a different form. Instead of the tech explaining that the insurance would not cover the script due to the fact that they were in a different form and needed to be changed by the doctor, I had to ask a dozen questions to understand the situation. By doing so she became upset and tried not to look at me just the computer. She then stated bye, have a nice day in the most passive aggressive way. Not sure why she is not counting pills out. I have moved pharmacies to a local pharmacy due to this crazy negative attitude. I just wanted to pick up a script and most pharmacies will contact the doctor for you to get this small minor detail fixed so insurance will pay for it in full. Not at this place if its up to this tech. She wants little to do with people and their problems. I had to laugh as I walked out. There are other pharmacies with better service. read more

I went by to pick up my prescription today and no one was there to give it to me. I'm very disappointed. They always screw up my medication so far. I don't trust them because I think they are all incompetent idiots who have no social skills or ethics whatsoever. beware the stupid people behind the counter. they have a very good knack for messing up your medication if you let them. I have never seen a pharmacy with so many people working but huge lines inside and outside of the store. Many of the employees did not seem to know what they were doing. I tried to do a COVID test. After working for half an hour at the drive-thru, they said my insurance did not have the correct birth date for me. I have had this insurance for several years and never had this problem. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this Walgreen's pharmacy is so disorganized if you go there for any kind of vaccinations. Scheduling a vaccination appointment online means nothing, because you will wait 30 to 45 min for your shot, and this is due to the pharmacist being unable to detach himself from filling prescriptions for people who are not there waiting, in order to honor your designated appointment time, and you are indeed waiting. It matters not. He will make you wait. Yesterday was my last time to go there. Nothing has changed. Same experience for the last 2.5 years. read more

Generally the staff are really nice and professional. The pharmacy is pretty busy. Was really not impressed that the pharm tech looked like she hadn't showered in weeks and had dirty fingernails which doesn't seem safe for handling pharmaceuticals. I'm new to Norman and needed to have some prescriptions refilled. Before transferring the scripts I decided to check online reviews. This Walgreens had scored only 1 star so I was hesitant to use it, but I decided to give it a try since it was the closest Walgreens to me. Once I managed (finally!) to transfer the prescriptions (that process was seamless a couple of years ago, but certainly didn't seem very seamless last night) everything went through like a breeze. I specified a pickup time for today. Probably one hour before the specified time, I received a notification that my prescriptions were ready. On arrival, there was only one car ahead of me. It pulled off just about the moment I pulled in behind it. A clerk came to the window before I could ring the call button. She quickly found my prescriptions. My old address was in their system and she kindly asked if f she could update it for me. I was very impressed with the service I received. It was LOADS BETTER than what I had been experiencing at 2 out of 3 Walgreens pharmacies I have used the last couple of years in Tulsa. I do suspect Walgreens is having problems keeping pharmacists and maybe other staff as well. read more

This has got to be the absolute worst pharmacy for customer service. Got here to pick up script 45 min ago. In line for drive thru pick up when someone cut me off. ( line was beyond drive so was trying not to block drive). So parked, went in, walked to back corner only to find indoor pharmacy closed. Drive thru only! Got back in car and 45 min later still 2 cars in front of me! I am thoroughly angry to put it in acceptable terms! I hate this pharmacy. I am picking up meds for someone besides myself. Went for a COVID shot and after a while, they said they couldn't. As a Veteran, was told that we could go there and get our shots. NOT TRUE. Wanted insurance. Said my VA card with 100% disability is my insurance. But they couldn't or wouldn't do it. Walgreens isn't alone. Had the same problem with CVS..! read more

THE WORST PHARMACY YOU COULD EVER GO TO. One "pharmacist" will do one thing and one won't. Techs are not the brightest and they are so unhelpful and rude it's unreal. If your not going to sell OTC medicine at the drive thru, don't have one of your employees say you will. read more

At this particular Walgreen's on 12th and Alameda I like most of the staff, But i never ask for special assistance with anything, I know what I want, get in and get out. But there was ONE time I asked a younger guy who stocking candy where something was located. He seemed bothered indicated by his deep sighing then rolling his eyes and pointing in the general direction of where it "might" be. I just laughed and purchased what I already had in my hands. I will only go to this Walgreen's because it's closer. That's why I almost always go to the Walgreen's on Main and Flood if I want any prescriptions filled by educated, professionals and always receive great costumer service. read more

This pharmacy is being managed terribly. Most very time I have spent time there, the employees are junk, rude and don't give a damn about customer service. Seriously, they are dealing with sick people who are there to get their medicine. They don't smile, they just simply act like a bunch of miserable people who don't want to be at work. After calling several times to try and get a hold of an individual at the location, I finally got in touch with a representative who immediately transferred me to a manager. However, I am absolutely disgusted on how I was treated over the phone by the "manager". Handled my question in an extremely rude manner with no sympathy for a mistake that was their fault. Worst pharmacy ever. Go inside-you're waiting and standing for 10-45 minutes to get prescriptions. Drive through: well, I've been sitting here for 25 minutes as the only car in my lane. Worst pharmacy ever! They have no idea of correct Oklahoma Laws regarding filling prescription order(s) from doctor(s). They makeup excuses, give bogus reasons, and always get RX orders wrong or refuse to fill prescription(s) in a timely manner. I don't think they have a knowledgeable, licensed pharmacist on duty at all times, which causes all the problems. read more

Friendly staff and great customer service. They don't always have everything I need which almost every walgreens has so I can't give them 5 stars but they're really great and I come here a lot so I'm confident in my rating. Never used the pharmacy but it looks like the other Yelper covered that aspect so all in all I'd say you really don't have to worry much coming here. read more

Awful pharmacy. If you have a lot of medications and a lot of Doctors run away from here!!! They are incompetent. Every month I have to argue with them over the correct amount of pills or medication that we should receive. It's absolutely ridiculous. You stand in like for 30 to 45 mins just to leave and have to go back when you realize they screwed up again!! When you call they forever to pick up the phone and 90% of the time they put you on hold just so you have to repeat everything you just said to someone else. They almost never follow through with what they say they will do on the phone. Every. I've had multiple conversations with techs and they say oh, we are out of that medication, it will be here tomorrow, you can pick it up at noon. We go to pick it up and guess what, they are STILL out and won't have any in until Monday. I've switched pharmacies because of the constant hassle. I will never ever use a walgreens again!! read more

This store staff has no idea what the actual Oklahoma PMP laws and procedures are. Staff refused to fill a prescription because they claimed the PMP website was down. After speaking to PMP I learned that they did not need to verify my wife's prescription prior to issuing it and that they could have called. When I asked them to please check the website again, they refused. I had to come into the store because both drive through lines were on hold while a general conversation about how prescriptions work was being held between the car at the window and the tech. People who have just left surgery and need medication cannot wait 15-20 minutes so that people can chit chat. It's a drive through for drop off and pick up. If you need special attention, Walgreens should direct you to come inside. Not force someone with a screaming in pain wife to have to go inside. Get your act together and learn the Oklahoma PMP laws/procedures. Or just keep on wasting everyone's time and profiling your customers. Reminds me of a story I heard from someone who visited the store last week. " PHARM TECH KEPT RINGING PRESC. UNDER WRONG INSURANCE AND REFUSED TO LOOK AT MY INSURANCE CARD TO PROCESS IT RIGHT WAY. IT WAS FOR ANXIETY MEDS. I GOT PILLS ANYWAY...2-3 TIMES NORMAL PRICE AND MANAGER TOLD ME TO GO TAKE A PILL AND COME BACK WHEN I GET MY HEAD STRAIGHT!" I will never visit any Walgreens again and urge you not to as well. They offer terrible service, are rude and seem to follow their own set of laws. The staff at Homeland is leagues above these clowns who wear casual clothes and sports attire like they do not take their job seriously. This review is 100% accurate. They are close and fill prescriptions accurately. If you don't have the prescription called in from the doctors office and just walk in to have it filled, it takes a little longer for the pharmacists to do all the checks to fill the initial order. Why do people use the drive through to fill an initial prescription that has not been called in. They block people picking up orders that are ready just because they are not bright enough to ask the doctor to call it in. Then they complain because it takes a few minutes to fill the new order. That is silly and very inconsiderate. These people need to drop it off and come back in a half hour or so instead of blocking all the lanes for customers picking up phoned in refills. read more

Told me it would be an hour if I waited in the drive-threw line, if I wanted my scripts faster than I needed to come inside. I had a child with me that is been profusely vomiting for the past 24 hours and has tested positive for strep throat! How does that seem fair I'm in the drive-threw because my child is sick and needs her medication but you don't want to help her immediately you tell me it's going to be an hour and I need to come inside if I want it faster because the people inside have priority but that doesn't make sense to me you want my child to infect everybody else!!!! Strep throat is highly contagious. So I was left with two options to go home and wait another hour and drag my sick child back out to go pick up her medication or drag her into that store and wait 20 minutes to get her medication. Which she is 5 and embarrassed about her puke bag I made her carry around. Sorry Walgreens but this will be the last time I use you guys due to your lack of consideration and compassion. read more

I visited this location today. I needed to find out if they had any more product in the back because the shelf was empty. The young man went to the back to check for me. After 8 minutes of waiting and watching the mirror that runs the back of the store, another employee came up and ask me if i needed help. I explained that I have been waiting for the 8 minutes. She said she would go and take a look for me. What makes me give Walgreen a low rating is that she walked away and in the next row she started laughing at me. She did not realize that I was looking at the mirror. That's when I left the store. I never once was rude or disrespectful to ether employee. To bad they needed to treat me that way. Wow, that is all I can say. My husband had strep, they gave the typical "15 minutes or so spill" after he waited an hour and it still wasn't ready I told him to head home and I would get it on my way home from work. I arrive (it had been almost two hours at this point) and they tell me it still isn't ready and to pull around, not a huge deal so I do. A few minutes later I get a message it is ready (yay!) I pull around, the tech working says ok well you have to pay for the whole prescription but we only have half. UH WHAT? Is this a joke? No, I am not paying for the whole thing for you to only have half. And why did you let us wait almost two hours when you did not even have the prescription? I say forget it, give me my prescription and I will go elsewhere "We already wrote on it, so you will have to call your dr for a new one" I honestly thought a practical joke was being pulled on me. The least professional experience of my life, it felt like I was dealing with a bunch incompetent high school kids, and I teach first grade so that is a bold statement. I will NEVER shop here again and certainly won't be filling a prescription there. That is for sure. DO NOT GO HERE. SAVE YOUR TIME. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

The techs are mostly friendly and great... as long as there are no issues with your medication, you don't need a dosage increase, don't need to talk to someone on the phone, don't need anything done in a timely manner... So basically... they do the bare minimum and the chain doesn't hire enough folks to run the pharmacy. They will not call your insurance for an override on a dosage increase. They will not call your doctor to ask for an alternative because something is unavailable. They will tell you your scripts are done, but not tell you that one isn't when you are picking up more than one. There is zero customer advocacy and they are happy to have you give up on them and go elsewhere when they fail. Which they will. I have written several lengthy comments to them in effort to help them become better and have given them several opportunities to improve (because they are on my side of town and have a drive thru). It seems they try for a day or two and then stop altogether. Homeland across the street has great customer service and superior customer advocacy... just no drive thru. (I have a back issue that makes it difficult to get in and out of my car). I'll just have to grin and bear it. Farewell Walgreens! read more
