Best reason to go to this Walgreens is for the location. Store is on par for what you expect out of Walgreens cleanliness. The checkout persons are alright, sometimes polite, usually apathetic. Hard to fault them. I've had mixed results with their specialty areas like passport photos and the pharmacy. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But on the whole, positive. Sometimes the photo guy will flake out for 10 or 15 minutes and no one will know where he is. Like I said, I go to this place because it's convenient. read more

Pharmacist was extremely rude and antagonizes guests. I called and they told me I could pick up a prescription so when I came in she attacked me saying I'm ordering too soon. She asked me when my next period is super loud for all the store to hear and didn't make a safe environment to explain my situation. She accused me of losing a pack of birth control. It is very common for women to skip the placebo pill week in their birth control pack.... In fact my doctor says that's ok. So there should be no reason to deny a refill Jsut because it's 2 days too early. For another prescription she tried to blame my insurance for why it wasn't working but seemed like another issue was going on because she was able to get it fixed. I told her I've had the same insurance for years and have had the same prescription for years so not sure why these issues persist. Overall I loved using Walgreens pharmacy but this situation was so terrible I'll never walk foot in one again. After this visit I called my dermatologist and gyno and transferred all my prescriptions to a non Walgreens pharmacy. read more

The pharmacist here is incredibly rude and inattentive. I happened to be sitting and waiting patiently for my prescription which, granted, I picked up incredibly late. I'm a teacher, and I hoped a pharmacy like Walgreens would be understanding of my insane hours. Unfortunately, the main pharmacist working today, Dec. 23rd. 2019 at 11:30am was ungracious at best. My one tip: wait until your patient is out of earshot before you berate them about their pick-up habits. I quote, "This is a nightmare. I mean, does she even need this any more?" Never again. This pharmacy is habitually brash, short, and unprofessional with their clientele. I understand it's probably uncouth to pick up a prescription late. DO NOT GO HERE FOR COVID/FLU TESTING. The pharmacist who performed my test told me I should not have come in because I would get her and everyone else who worked there sick. There was absolutely no indication on the website that testing is not for symptomatic individuals, and I wouldn't have come in if I had known they would be so rude to me about this. I have visited this Walgreens on several occasions and I finally am going to take time to give it a review. It's the same thing every single time....RUDE!! There were six customers in line for one register so I asked the "sweet" Kim if I could get checked out in photo. She was stocking the shelves. She gave me the look and ask, "do you have Photos?" I said no. She then proceeded to tell me, if you don't have photos I can't ring you up in photos. This is the biggest crock of crap I have ever heard. I get checked out in Photos all the time at Walgreens, with no photos. Perhaps I'm just impatient? Perhaps I'm not a pharmacist for good reason? Perhaps this location's pharmacy needs to get on the ball and even offer us some valid customer service? BINGO. I was refilling my monthly prescription (nothing new here folks) and was already notified by Walgreen's texting service that my order had been filled and was ready for pick-up. As you can see, I set up services like this to be most efficient with my time... Well, I show up during a slow Saturday morning at 9:20am to pick up my order. The tech behind the counter said that it would "take a few minutes" which already baffled me because per the text, it should have already been filled, right? Fast forward to 9:50am, I had my fill of meandering through candy aisles, flipping through the magazine section, and reading up on the benefits of Vitamin D. I walked up to the counter just as they announced my name over the intercom to come pick up my order. Once I was at the register, the pharmacist scanned my order but gave me a price that did apply my Insurance because I was picking up my prescription a bit early... sigh. After a few minutes of explanation, she said that she would try to call me Insurance carrier to rectify the issue. I already knew that I had a better chance of winning the lottery than having my Insurance company trouble-shoot the issue on a weekend. I just advised her that I would call them on Monday and pick it up at that time. What. A. Waste. Of. Time. I plan to transfer my prescription to another location or brand of pharmacy. Now that I live in a new neighborhood, I have to update my review of just the pharmacy here. I recently came by to get a certain Rx that I thought was supposed to be free under "Obamacare". The woman at the pharmacy desk had no idea. I think she was even the manager. I'm sure she was just a pharmacy drone doing her job. I gave her my prescription and she told me I was denied (insurance payment was made but hadn't gone through). Eventually, she was able to tell me that if my insurance were paid up, my Rx would have cost me. She was courteous but curt about it, and she looked stressed out to care if this could have been free. I get it -- why should she make any effort to have customers get free Rx? I switched my prescriptions to another store that day, where the new pharmacist not only told me that my Rx was indeed free, but they automatically refill my order so that I don't have to call it in. read more

We're in Nashville for my mother's birthday. We needed something before we head back. I checked the items through the mobile app, the price was very different. When we went to the store, the manager-Randy told us they don't do price matches so I had to order it through my app while I already had the same items gathered. So the manager agreed that when he received the order he'll process it from there. After I received the order confirmation through my email, the manager did not come out for 10 minutes and we politely got in line to speak with the employee to ask about that, but the employee blew us out with a very mean, begrudgingly tone telling us:" he told you it's gonna take a minute!" That's it, no courtesy phrases, no politeness, just lay out her hands and raised her tone to us saying that with a tone that definitely has an exclamation mark or two in the end. I said calmly that I understand, but it's been ten minutes since we received the order confirmation saying that the store received the order and asked the employee to call the manager out. The manager came out and told us to stand aside. While he could have just handled our order first because we are 30 min earlier than the customer who arrived after us, and we'll be gone for our trip, he chose to check out 10 other customers that were after us. One customer even kindly refused to go to his line to check out as he saw what was happening. I called the customer service line trying to place a complaint in front of him, and he picked up his speed to finish other customers and finally took our items to process. And we're late for our schedule. We were treated horribly at the store by both the employee and the manager for no obvious reason. Could it be that because we're Asians? Call me Karen all you want but this is a legit complaint as other customers in the line saw too. Did you ever notice that people generally segregate into two categories: CVS people or Walgreen's people. I'm a Walgreen's person. They've been located on every corner nearby since the times of my youth. This particular Walgreen's is where I get my Sunday papers (for the coupons) and where my prescriptions are filled. Once, I even forgot my insurance card and learned that their policy is if you bring your card in within the week, they will reimburse you the difference. The pharmacy staff has a mild amount of attitude but overall if they see that you are truly sick then they have compassion and they lighten up. The rest of the staff is great though! I'm reviewing Walgreens Photo Center: I'd like to highlight that there is no professional camera, lighting or photo enhancement evolved. There is just a white panel and an old model camera. The photographer was not even willing to let me take a look at the picture and potentially take another one. I was charged over 15$ for two passport photos on cheap paper. Worst of all, I had experience ordering extra prints at CVS which I was charge 45 cents apiece. But here, when the cashier handed me the original two prints with four additional prints she tried to charge me 45$! This is outrageous! Most of online services charge a lot less than that, e.g. Snapfish only charges 9 cents for 4x6 prints. So, my suggestion is either have someone take a photo from you (at least you get to take multiple photos) and order prints online or go to CVS where you can get extra prints for less that a dollar! read more

Since this Walgreens is literally slow as Christmas It's faster for me to park at Vanderbilt, walk to CVS and pick up my prescription. They've been a consistent pain in the butt and I'm definitely going to look into which other pharmacies in the area my insurance covers. Pharmacy line is usually about 3 people long, but be prepared to wait in line for at least 30 minutes, and then still not get what you need. They are always trying to get the customer to do stuff that is pretty basic to a pharmacists duty, like calling the insurance company to answer questions they have about coverage, or calling the previous pharmacy to get a prescription transferred. (On the latter: when I did that, from moving out of state, they wanted me to contact my previous doctor and have him send a new prescription to them bc contacting the previous pharmacy was "a real pain". Also the main pharmacist I've seen, a white guy with a short beard and pre-mature male patterned baldness, has been a jerk any time I've had to speak with him. read more

I use it mostly because of its location. West end is just the center of it all. But they also have ample parking and this location usually has what I'm looking for. Store could be a little cleaner. Some items misplaced on shelf. But this is a great one stop shop. The pharmacy has a drive thru window for your quick prescription pick ups. They have plenty of cash registers, allowing them to handle a large volume. So if the parking lot is packed don't be afraid to come in. They offer good deals if you have a Walgreens card. The only reason I signed up on Yelp is to write a review about this Walgreens. It is by far the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever met at a corner pharmacy. Walgreens is Walgreens, but I've been to this one probably a dozen times (great location!) and every time I'm there, I have at least three people shoot me a giant smile and ask how they can be of service to me. I never expect to be treated that well at a place like Walgreens, but I am always greatly impressed with their service. read more
