It started well I was learning new things everyone was kind to me. Then one day a little girl and her father came up to me asking me for a product the women that was training me tried talking over me but I ended up showing them exactly where the product was. The little girl said weave but I knew she meant braiding crochet hair. I showed her and her father to both places and was Thanked by them. She (My coworker) was upset at me because I didn't let her show the customers where the product was and didn't allow them man to take time to show her a photo of it. I Stood my ground she got upset and since then it went into a downfall. She was ranting about it to customers because she was "bored" The owner and manager heard it and didn't say anything about it. After the manager wanted to explain that my attitude was bad and "Negative" When a flower doesn't bloom do you blame the flower or the environment? That I was late (Which I take accountability for I told him I didn't have transportation some days) He replied wasn't his problem. daily feeling ran over. Not feeling understood but trying to understand others & was on being called A dumbass and b**ch in Spanish like I couldn't understand by the owner(s) & their daughter. I kissed a lot of people's butts while working here. He says the younger generation is the problem when there are older people rude & stuck in their ways.

Well my hair was so bad that it hardly worked, in fact it turned almost lime green and yucky yellow. Was the worst!!! Went back over the weekend after calling Brandy(I believe) and she talked to me calmly and reassured me that they will help me figure this out. After standing in the store almost 15 minutes draining these ladies of information we decided on some stuff. Well I purchased more product and exchanged some of the others, came home in utter fear it would not work and sure enough the ladies were right and I have a healthy rich brown color and I LOVE it. Their "no refunds" store policy is conveniently placed at waist-level beneath the overhang of the front counter so that it isn't visible prior to making your purchase. There's a level of trust that people have when buying beauty products and appliances and STAR BEAUTY has violated my trust for the last time. I hope that you don't give them the opportunity to violate yours. There are two other beauty supply stores in the immediate area that have kind, helpful staff that will be getting my business from this point forward.

So, this is a store that is primarily made up of "ethnic" hair products, run by Asians, which kinda cracks me up, but whatever. Sometimes the communication could be better, but they are friendly and at least attempt to answer your questions. The selection is AWESOME and the prices are extremely competitive. I love to go there to find cheap hair to use for cosplay, headbands and clips, flowers, barrettes, and hair accessories on the cheap. I also bought REMY human hair in tracks to make my own extensions. Again, their prices can't be beat, and you can buy as much or as little as you want. You don't have to buy packages, they will sell you lengths of different types of hair. They have all the natural colors and tons of exotic colors. Why did I make my own extensions? I have fine, blonde hair that tangles if I try to use synthetic hair extensions and wig clips don't want to stay in place. Plus the affordability factor is off the charts by going this route.

The service is semi-sketchy but most times I just walk up directly to ask for what I need if I can't put my finger on immediately. I'm not sure if this is a language barrier or they spend most time stocking the many shelves. Regardless, I'm usually in and out of here in 10 minutes. Worth a drive to check out if you're on the westside. They've saved my butt on several costume items more than once.
