This place. I had my doctor call in a refill and this morning when I check, the site said "will be after 5:30pm" As soon as I am able, I get a ride to the pharmacy, it says "action needed". Flat out nonsense. When I call at 6:30 pm. The staff was like "oh, um. It will be ready in 90 minutes." I believe their propaganda website and one thing always seems to ring true "delayed". I have to say I have been to a lot of Walgreens and this was one of the best experiences I've had. I was greeted as I walked in. I was looking for something specific and was helped almost immediately. As I was walking to the register the manger said hello and also asked if I needed anything. Finally, I got to the register and the cashier was just as friendly as everyone else. Overall just a great experience. I think customer service is something that is becoming a lost art. I was just passing by this Walgreen on my way to work. I needed to take passport photos. The lady at Photo Center was swamped with orders, she said I'd need to wait for her for at least 20 minutes. I agreed to wait and just went for a walk in the store. Wow. It is much bigger than average Walgreens, very clean, and a large selection of everything you can imagine, including shelves and shelves of alcohol. While I was walking, a store worker named Angel came up to me asking if I was looking to make passport photos. She took her time taking the best photos of me helping me to get situated at the stand, she also took 3 different pictures of me trying to see which one I like the best. She was very personal, telling interesting stories and cracking funny jokes. Thank you Angel for your sweet personality and great pictures. read more

Located on the northwest corner of Airline and Clearview, this Walgreens has always been neat, clean and well organized every time I have come in. Employees are friendly enough. There is a propane exchange, Netflix movie rental both outside, and a drive thru for the pharmacy. Shelves seem to be fully stocked in all items. read more

I went to this particular Walgreens on the corner of Airline and Clearview in Metairie, La on September 09, 2023. I was walking down one of the aisles just browsing, something caught my eye so I got my purse and proceeded to look for my reading glasses. A couple minutes later, an employee walked up to me and stated " Mam, I hope you didn't put anything in your purse because I have you on camera and I've already called the cops". I responded to the accusation by stating for 1, I am not a thief, and 2, why would anyone call the police when they are not even sure IF a crime had even been committed?? This woman ASSUMED I was shoplifting because I was in my purse looking for my glasses. Next thing I know, there are 4 cops walking towards her and I, asking her if she was the person who contacted police, I'm standing there in complete and utter shock that this is actually occuring BEFORE a crime had even been confirmed as happening. As I'm standing there with cops and fellow shoppers looking at me as if I was some common criminal, i nervously proceeded to tell the police as I'm shaking, anxiety through the roof, what had simply happened. They proceeded to view the camera footage, and surprise surprise, THERE WAS NO CRIME COMMITTED. I demanded an apology from this vile, accusatory woman for the embarrassment, inconsiderate and unbelievable behavior she had brought upon me, simply because SHE ASSUMED I HAD COMMITTED A CRIME. I have reported her to the corporate office for her malicious behavior, I would hope that Walgreens values and appreciates their customers business and their reputation enough that they would sever all ties with this woman by terminating her employment with the company. I filled a prescription online but when I checked it's status, it said to call the pharmacy. The girl who answered the phone was rude. She said they didn't have the medication I need. I asked when it would be in and she said who knows. I asked if they would text me when it's in and she said, no, call in a few days. CALL IN A FEW DAYS?!!! I just got a call from someone saying they were with Walgreens. Before they would tell me anything they asked me to verify my identity with my birthday and adress. ​I said, I'm not going to do that,I don't know who you are, you verify your identity. She continued to tell me she couldn't tell me anything until I verified my identity and when I repeated I will absolutely not give you that information because for all I know you're scam artist and you just want to steal my identity with the few details that you still need to completely screw me over. After I hung up, I called the Walgreens at Airline and Clearview and I was told that was policy. Seriously? In this day and age that's the most asinine thing I've heard. How often are we told not to give personal information to anyone over the phone unless we call the business ourselves? It appears as if Walgreens needs to be trained on best practices in con artist techniques. They certainly are setting their clients up for a fall. That's too sad because I like Walgreens. I started off going to this Walgreens to gather my mothers prescriptions. Over time my grandmother started to need essential medication. This Walgreens NEVER has any medication you need. They would say we only have X amount so you can pay for that. I don't want to come this Walgreens multiple times a week just to pay for a quarter of my medicine. It doesn't matter what your prescription is they don't have the full amount. You'd be lucky to get four pills MAX. This will be my last month with this pharmacy after months of going back and forth.I've never gotten a full prescription filled, half the time I have to wait for "the medications to come in" DO NOT SEND YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE. read more

Though, each time I have gone, the cashier and the employees walking around have always been super nice and helpful. Walgreens used to be my favorite store. Then, I started using their pharmacy and now I am broken up with Walgreens. Pharmacist always couldn't understand my doctor's prescription and filled it wrong so I had to go back to the store, contact my doctors office for correct dosage and wait for them to fix it. That was red flag number one. Second red flag when up when I scheduled my daughter's Covid Vaccine shots. First one went real great. Second was cancelled without any explanation on the day of the vaccination but they included "if you would like to reschedule click here" link so I did and it let me reschedule on the same day and time I originally scheduled it. After the school I bring my child with me to the place, we wait in line, then we were seated to hear that they are out of pediatric doses. Why couldn't that have been in the cancellation message?! Red flag number three went up when I tried to pick my meds at the drive through window and after last time I decided to go to the place further from the window that has red box that goes to pharmacist. Don't get me started about wait time at drive through. I don't get why to have two lines and have one pharmacist work both?! Anyways, after they send the red box with my meds and credit card back I see that my card is in the plastic bag. So I pull on the bag to get it out of the box and credit card slide out and falls under my car. Only then I saw that they placed my bag upside down! They might have placed it correct way but when you send it back to me it goes upside down...well that's fine but then tie the damn bag! That was my last straw that broke the camel back. I am gone to another pharmacy and prefer never deal with Walgreens anymore. They need to get people who are better trained at their job. One star is only for my former love with Walgreens and now it is gone. read more

My 9 year old son has been exposed to covid-19 at school and started showing symptoms this morning. I went online and scheduled a PCR test for him. I had a confirmation email and all. Walgreen's is usually not my first pick when it comes to Drugstores. The reason I visited this one is because of the close proximity to my residence. This location is okay, I mean it has what you would normally expect to find at a walgreens. They got a lot of your normal Pharmaceutical needs, junk food, and other knick knacks. I noticed recently that walgreens started carrying booze. Its about time! How many years have their competitors been raking in more dough because that major foresight? Honestly I have no idea why that just now became an item that they carry but it is a good thing. Still they are way too pricey on their alcohol. In short its an okay place to get your prescriptions filled, or buy junk food. But not that great of a place to buy booze. read more

I and my wife no longer shop at Walgreens thanks to this pharmacy. While I was at home sick my wife kindly ventured out to get some pseudoephedrine. She waited the very long line at the pharmacy counter in order to buy it, when she finally arrived at the desk they informed her she was in the wrong line. So realizing it was an error she moved to the next line as she was instructed. After waiting about 30 minutes in this line she arrived at the desk where she was informed she was yet again in the wrong line. (Keep in mind the pharmacist directed her to this very desk.) After explaining that she was directed to this line after having already waited she asked to speak to the manager. At that point they laughed and said they were the manager and she could get in the other line or leave! Such terrible customer service should never be tolerated and will not be by my family. read more

This Walgreens is in an extremely convenient location on the corner of Airline Dr. and Clearview Pkwy. But having said that, it has a parking lot that is always packed to the brim. I honestly try to avoid this store whenever possible because they are sooooo slow at everything. Getting rung up is like an act of Congress over there and the pharmacy is also super slow at filling prescriptions. It's kind of a small store, they don't have much to offer as far as non-pharmacy merchandise goes and I don't think they sell alcohol either. Not my favorite. read more

Came here at 2:30 am to fill a script from Tulane-Lakeside for my daughter, who had a case of swimmer's ear after attending a pool party. Very fast service, script filled in less than 20 minutes. Will not be shopping at this store again. Very rude cashier. Went on Sunday night to get cokes that were on sale. As usual they were out of diet coke. I asked for rain check and was told I could not get one. Left other items on counter and walked out and will not go back. Since cvs is so close you would think the cashiers would be trained to be polite to customers. There were 3 registers and I went to middle one, cashier went to end one and just stood there. Hi, my name is Jennifer Turner. I have been using Walgreens for years to get my medications filled. I think its great that they have a 24 hour pharmacy for those unplanned emergencys. I get my suboxone filled at this Walgreens all the time. I have been on this opiate blocker since last January. I have been having some problems with one of the components in that medication that was causing migranes, anxiety and heart palpations. My doctor gave me a similar medication without the naloxone, which the suboxone has in it and was giving me all those symptoms. I got the suboxone filled on 2-6-13 so the pharmacist told me it was to early to get it filled. I had to educate him that this was a different medication without the naloxone so therefore it would be a new script. I had to explain my symptoms to him. After that was discussed, he began to tell me that he would not "flip flop" back and forth from the Suboxone film and the Subutex tablets. My doctor gave me the new rx Subutex for a reason but if I would need to go back on the Suboxone, then that would need to be filled again, they are two different medications. Please be aware that there are no "private areas" we could talk without other customers hearing our conversation. Its bad enough that I had an opiate addiction in the past but for other customers to hear our conversation, well that's against HIPPA and considered a violation. I felt that I was "judged" for being on that medication. When I first got this medication filled he told me that he hoped I wasnt going to be on this medication for long! So what does that mean? I should go out and start doing illegal street drugs again? I wonder what they think about the patients that get there oxycontin, percocet, vicodin, soma, xanbars etc filled all the time. I honestly felt hurt, embarrassed and judged. Not only myself but friends and family have experienced nasty attitudes from the majority of the pharmacy staff. I understand they are very busy and one of the only 24 hour pharmacy's around our area. I work in Health Care and customer service is our highest priority. I had an incident before where Leigha gave me tons of problems and had me in tears when I left the pharmacy. My boyfriend is a Store Director for Winn Dixie and he went back in the pharmacy extremely upset that I was in tears and got everyones name. Leigha, Ricky Indovina, Brian Tehas, Richard Rovira and Louis. He did not call the District Manager about this issue because I didnt want the staff causing me anymore problems. Now it has gone too far and something needs to be done. Would your family members like to be treated this way? My mission for writting this complaint is so Corporate Office understands how patients/customers are being treated. I will not have any of my prescriptions filled at Walgreens again, instead, I will bring them to a local mom and pop pharmacy where the staff meet and greets everybody and where customer service is the highest priority. read more

If I could I would not have given any stars!!! I went in this pharmacy about 10:35am, and did not leave until after 12! This store is the worst I have ever seen! My previous visits they gave me someone else's medication, this happen 3 times! So I already had transferred my medications to CVS. I had to go in the Walgreens because my doctor called in medication and I forgot to tell her NOT to Walgreens but CVS and I also got my medication to quit smoking. I asked for pharmacy manager, first I was told she was in meeting, then she wasn't there, then she was coming. I asked a totaal of 5 times and nothing! They were so understaffed it was ridiculous! They had people from other departments and even the store manager was trying to help but they don't know anything so they could assist if someone was picking up. The lines were horrible! Everyone in line was so mad and angry because even the lady that worked there didn't know much and not properly trained! This experienced has really left me DONE with walgreens period!!!! While waiting for my meds I read sign that said "just ask for pharmacist and they are there", what a joke!!! I am sooooooo glad I switched to CVS, I feel such relief, because going to that store really stressed the hell out of me!! Since I've been with CVS, any little thing they are personally calling me with anything and I also get credit for my medications even though I am on medicare! I was telling everyone how I switched to CVS, and a lot of people agreed ! If I never have to go back to that store that would be too soon! read more
