Avoid this pharmacy at all costs! Worst run pharmacy. I get levoxyl every 90 days (I don't have a thyroid). It isn't a "nice to have". I need it to live. Over the last year, this pharmacy has repeatedly been out of it with every excuse in the books. Because I know that, I order it a week before to give them time. When I went in on the day/time they gave me for pick up, they said it wouldn't be ready until the next day. "We're out of it; it is outsourced. Come back tomorrow." The next day, I got a message thru the app that it still wasn't ready and they'd let me know. It is now 3 days later and still no meds. They don't care. Horrible pharmacy, horrible people in the pharmacy. Go to Costco or an independent pharmacy - do not use Walgreens and most especially, don't use this one. read more

This is a review of the pharmacy only. While there have been interminable waits at the Lincolnshire Walgreens, at Libertyville they have been organized, efficient. We tried a walk-in for vaccines (two separate times). They were happy to give the shots quickly, no hassle. On one visit, a prescription was checked (it had snagged at Lincolnshire). The pharmacist straightened out the issue in less than a minute. It seems that they know how to get things done, efficiently. read more

I had already switched my prescriptions because it always took so long to get a med. today I went in to pick up Tylenol and some pictures at the photo area. Another customer was waiting to have passport photos. We rang the button and the store announced several times that we needed help. Finally the cashier came running over. She was the only one in the store except for pharmacists! She said several people had quit. I told her that was unacceptable and that I would not be back. She was doing her best to run the whole store!! Ridiculous!! read more

Came to get a prescription filled at 10 am. Was told to return to pick up in 1 hour. I show up at 11 am they tell me it won't be ready for 2 more hours because the pharmacist is out. I then take back my prescriptions, come to the Walgreens in vernon hills they filled my prescription in 15 min..... I have no idea why someone would blatantly lie to me about a pick up time for medication. It seems cruel and inconsiderate. Strongly recommend considering another Walgreens for your business especially for prescriptions. read more

I had been thinking of pulling all my prescriptions from Walgreens because everytime I go there, there is a problem or it takes so long because they have no help. I just experienced an issue with the pharmacy manager. He stopped filling a medication I have been on for years and is requesting a letter from my doctor. I have no problem with this, but he is not a doctor and cannot just decide to not fill a medication. There were many ways he could have handled this. I had a one hour photo order which I received a text that it was done. I then went to the store and joined three other people in line at the photo counter, waiting 10 minutes before I left the store. While I was in line, I called the store and was put on hold and then I walked to the front counter and told the checkout clerk that there were four people waiting in line at the photo. he called someone on the loudspeaker And we still waited another five minutes and no one showed up. Pharmacist and staff are rude. Bring a prescription there and they act like they are doing you a favor. I went with no one there, presented my script to the tech and had to wait 5 minutes for the pharmacist to stop looking at a computer. When he finally came over, he told me, "we can fill it, but not sure how long it will take. " I asked if I could have it within 4 hours, and he said, "I can't tell you, it's not something I can rush." They used to ask if you want to wait. Never going back there again. read more

This Walgreens. Hmm I waited in the drive thru 20 mins. Saw they were in there so I went to park and walk in. Then I waited another 20. Of course you received the little attitude from the girl behind the counter telling you the insurance didn't cover the prescription. Then she says I have to wait for my other prescription because the pharmacist left at 11:20 for lunch. She has to wait for him. Wtf. I am in the twilight zone here. These people have no business dispensing drugs and I am more inclined to believe they are taking the drugs instead of filling orders. Now you might say I am one person but I actually polled 3-5 of my friends and all have complained about this location. I think this needs to go to corporate level visibility. read more

I don't shop here frequently except for the necessities like Rx and sometimes greeting cards. It's a nice, clean Walgreens and they provide good customer service. The prices are a bit high for my liking. However, they usually have what you may need or want from a store such as theirs. read more

I never use the race card but, I can honestly say it couldn't of been anything but racism. Who writes a review about WALGREENS??? The Caucasian woman at the register a moment ago 11/10/2019 at 8:14 receipt # 236 114 0021 wearing the glasses and chewing gum as hard as you could possibly chew gum. She was the epitome of ignorance and rude; I typically elude it to your upbringing, her parents obviously have done her a disservice. We walked up to the register, my boyfriend and I when she says... this register all the way on the end; keep in mind we were already in place at the register she was referring. She never greeted us with a "Hello"... however, this didn't surprise us because customer service people rarely greet customers anymore. She proceeded with ringing up our items. My boyfriend asked her, "do you have military discount?" She responds, yeah I'm gonna need to see that id; he already had the id out of his wallet. He hands her the id with a photo, service served and expiration date.....she inspected the id as if were a $100.00 bill, or if we were just shown on America's Most Wanted; she held the id for the longest 60 seconds! I'm sure she expected us to respond in an indignant manner but no, we're both to educated and dignified to give into her stupidity. This was OUR experience, this was how we were treated. Finally, for that rude woman who treated us as such... I say to my boyfriend what she couldn't say due to her lack of understanding, comprehension or compassion for human beings, "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE...28 Years U.S. Air Force. I was in this Walgreen's today to pick up a prescription, and standing in line in front of me, there was a man who was not wearing a mask. I am 72 years old, and I wanted to avoid a possible confrontation with the man, so I asked to speak to the manager--Michael. Michael told me that people who have been vaccinated do not have to wear a mask in the store--although there is a sign on the store's front window indicating that customers must wear a mask. Apparently, Michael is unaware of Governor Pritzker's mandate that, as of Monday, August 30th, ALL people over the age of two must wear masks indoors in public places. I'm guessing that Michael didn't read the message from the Walgreen's corporate office regarding the new masking rule, or the corporate office didn't send their managers a notice, or Michael has decided not to enforce the rule. I told Michael that I will be finding another pharmacy that enforces the state's safety rules, but he did not seem upset to lose a customer. If you're as concerned about your safety as I am during this pandemic, you, too, might want to find another pharmacy besides the Walgreen's at 1470 S. Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, Illinois. read more

Easily the worst Walgreens I have been to. I have been waiting in the aisle for 20 minutes for someone to open the CBD oil display. The pharmacist does not have the key, the only other person was working one of the cash registers along with another lady so two registers open. He wouldn't leave as long as there was any customers there so I had to stand there and wait. Next time I'll try CVS. This was 80.00 of medicine I was buying and they could care less. Worst pharmacy ever! It seemed like there was only 1 person working helping customers on a Saturday afternoon of all days. As well as about 6 people waiting to be helped at Walgreens pharmacy. I just so luckily pulled up in the drive through, and was the only car waiting to be helped outside. I was able to see that the there were about 4 or 5 customers waiting to be helped inside from where I was at. When I first pulled up I thought that I had pushed the help button, but then it was confirmed when I pushed it a second time. The clerk helping all the customers inside picked up the phone to speak with me and said "Sir I will be with you when I can!". Since I went there on my lunch break from work for 30mins thinking I had more than enough time to do what I needed there. Also thinking that I work 2 mins down the road I should have been helped and back within 15mins Max! Boy was I wrong, I didn't get back to work with not more than one minute to spare, and guess what? I had to leave the line I was in to make it back on time for my lunch break without getting my prescriptions! You know you would think that based on how much they charge the insurance company for one prescription. They would at least properly Staff the Walgreens with more than 1 employee to help a rush of customers. Also by the time I left there were now five people waiting through the drive-through, and about four more people waiting to be helped! Avoid this place like the plague if u can read more

Pharmacy is horrible. I waited at the drive thru for 20 minutes. When someone finally helped me they told me my prescription wasn't in stock and they needed to call another pharmacy. A phone call would have been nice. Another 15 minutes and they need to get a different prescription. Now I'm going to need to wait an hour to get that filled. I had stopped going to this pharmacy a while ago because of terrible service. I should have known better, but it was convenient at the time. 5 stars for the amazing woman in the skincare/beauty department for her expertise on the products and recommendations. I've come in twice confused on what to look for, scrambling through google to find reviews, and each time I overheard a helpful voice asking something along the lines of "May I help you find anything". Both times she was able to recommend the best products and quickly show me where to find it. Since then, whenever I walk in I have trust that she's not just knowledgeable, but really cares and goes above and beyond to her customers. This location has been my go-to, to find amazing products that match their customer service near my work location. Little did I know after doing some research, the products she recommended in the store are sold at high end beauty stores nearby. i honestly didn't know Walgreens had such high quality products! I keep coming back to this location instead of the high end stores because of the quality customer service and treatment that she gives me each time I come in. I noticed how she also does the same to other customers, who may of once looked as confused as I was walking in trying to find the best products, and offering her assistance and expertise to recommend what could help. Sitting in the drive up pharmacy one person was in front of me, 20 min wait. This is not the first time I have had this experience.

They filled a 3 month supply of my mother's prescription at a cost of $531.00. They never told my mother (who is on a fixed income) that she had the option of taking only a 30 day supply of the medication. She did only what the pharmacist told her. My question is this, if my mother's doctor changes her medication are they going to allow her to return the unused portion? I am guessing not. Shame on you Walgreens! read more

I'm writing this in the drive thru where the wait is so long I turned off my engine to conserve gas. this is the 3rd time in 3 days I've been to this store to pick up 1 prescription which is a refill. The myriad of problems created by the employees here cause delays every month. Automatic refill tells me scrip is ready- I go store and it's not filled- rude clerk tells me my doctor needs to approve it getting filled more than 2 days before I run out- ok my doctor calls- I go back to the store next day and it is not filled - drug is not in stock- the generic is ordered- I can't take generic (been taking the brand for 30 years)- the brand is ordered - finally. That took 3 days. Now if someone would wait on me I'll get on with my day. read more

For anyone who comes here for medication...AVOID IT!!!!!! This store might be 24 hours but try your hardest to pick up your medication before the other pharmacies in the area close. The pharmacy always seems to be understaffed so instead of waiting 20 minutes which was promised to you, you will sometimes wait for an hour!! You have to keep to ask what is taking so long yourself because no one seems to care enough to tell you. Also, the language that I have heard from the pharmacy staff is atrocious! I stopped bringing my children into the store while I wait! I had complained a few times to the store managers about the store and I just got apologies. I haven't shopped here in months since I transfered my business to Target but from what I heard from my neighbors, the store has had three new Pharmacy Managers since I left and its still just as bad!
