I went to this location yesterday and today. Both days Betty was working. She is the most rude and…read moreunknowldedgable person they could have working there. Yesterday she gave "helpful" assistance, which caused the persons hair to be ruined! I went back today and she stated, rudely, that "she has worked in the hair industry for 30 years and didn't know what we were talking about" she even stated she never suggested the items the day before! She rudely made a comment about being unable to assist us! .... I did not make a purchase, however my friend did, I would not go there, knowing if be contributing to her pay. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly until this point, because of her I will take my business elsewhere!

I walked around to see what all the store offered. Once I left an aisle he entered and it was a bit puzzling. I wasn't sure if I was being followed and targeted or he needed to take a look at a product. He asked if I was looking for a particular item. I mentioned a banana clip and showed a picture. He said that he didn't have them but would be open to purchasing them. He's the owner, it was nice to know that he was offering the option to carry the items. He offered another item. I declined and left. I decided to return because I was looking for a shampoo brush. I called before visiting to make sure it was available. Certain items are worth purchasing in person without waiting for shipping. I also wanted to support a Black owned business. I entered and was pleasantly greeted as another customer was wrapping up and leaving. I asked about the location of the shampoo brush and easily fell into conversation with the lady working. She was very nice and conversational. She encouraged me to follow the company on Instagram. I would recommend this business and revisit.

However, at Universal Beauty Supply, being that one of the owners actually specializes and does hair (licensed cosmetologist) I truly feel like I'm getting good advice on hair products and products to grow my hair.
