I think the store manager needs to step back and re-evaluate the scheduling of their employees in the pharmacy dept. My wife called at 9:10 am on Saturday. She was placed on hold for 41 minutes and 52 seconds before someone picked up and answered. She was on the phone with the staff for a whole 20 seconds to take her info to confirm her script. They only had 5 people scheduled on a Saturday, 1 pharmacist, 2 pharmacist helpers, 1 drive-thru, and 1 counter person. Knowing that the pharmacy closes early on Saturday and Sunday and it's going to be even busier on the weekend than during the weekday. They could've had more people on staff in intervals so that it was constantly flowing smoothly. During the week you'll see as many as 7 or 8 people back there working helping the Pharmacist and keeping the flow moving. Don't get me wrong. I understand they're busy but it is crazy to have to stay on hold for over 41 minutes. So if this store is so busy in the pharmacy, then put 2 pharmacists on duty to catch up. So I called Walgreens to speak to the manager and was told they weren't in but there was a lead associate that could talk to me, so I said ok. After a brief 4 minute hold, Rachel answered again and said that he was working the register and it might be a while before he can clear the line to answer the phone. Rachel also tried to convince me that they were extremely busy at 9:45 am with a line going around the building for the drive-thru and that they are backed up. This is a perfect example of why management needs to re-evaluate the scheduling so there is appropriate coverage at all times. This put's a lot of stress on the workers because customers are complaining that there isn't enough staff working. So I wonder if the manager ever worked the floor in a retail, or does he just walk around in his suit and tie and make big decisions on how to make it worse for everyone. I left North Florida Pharmacy because they closed much earlier than Walgreens. But at this rate, I might just go back to the North Florida pharmacy or go to CVS. At least North Florida's average wait time is less than 20 minutes if I walked in the door with a script. read more

Great staff and really super great pharmacists at this location. The staff and pharmacist are very kind and professional. This is the busiest pharmacy I have ever seen and they work hard for their patients. Picking up medication is a nightmare, I should not have to wait over 40 minutes in drive thru when there is only 4 cars, I changed pharmacy's and so did all my sisters for the same reason. They need some serious guidance there or lose more customers. read more

There is no reason anyone should have to sit in the drive thru line for 45 mins to over an hour, who ever is at the drive thru should be fired,if you are doing consulting at the drive thru you should make them go into the store, I do not know what has happened to this store pharmacy and the service of the drive thru but someone needs to check into why it is taken this long in that line everytime in the last 2 months this has happened waiting at least 45 minutes if not longer. This issue needs to be fixed. I am look for another pharmacy due to this reason and the slow service. read more

If you want to waste 1/2 hour of your time then get your prescriptions from Lake City Walgreens! I have waited as long as 45 minutes and test my prescription was ready I had done a drop of the prior day and was just picking up. There were 4 cars in front of me and I have been here 20 minutes and just moved two cars up. I have tried going in and that is even longer. I went to pick up my order and the Walgreens system kept showing that I didn't pay online. Showed the manager my Walgreens app with the receipt showing that I paid through PayPal and also showed my PayPal account that Walgreens was paid. Manager kept saying that she can't give me my products because then I would be getting products for free. I asked how would I get products for free if I'm showing you to receipts. She kept talking about me paying again or canceling my order but I wasn't doing that because it wasn't my fault. She thought that I was going to be ok with leaving without my products and disputing the charge, but I told her no and they were going to figure it out and they did. read more

Like the other people that gave a "one-star" review on here, regarding the pharmacy, I have had a ridiculous, unprofessional, and bordering on malpractice/unethical experience. Overall pharmacy staff are on a spectrum (minus one person that seemed to be a reasonable human being but without power to help) of not being knowledgeable to only providing certain needed information to the Pharmacist, Katherine Hooper, being utterly rude, demeaning, and assuming the worst in regards to the controlled substance I've been prescribed since 2017 and NEVER abused, misused. This med is for Fibromyalgia/Debilitating muscle pain/tightness. I was initially prescribed it in Virginia after all other medication options failed and recently had to move here to Lake City, FL. After going back and forth between Walgreens and my new PCP for over a week, trying to avoid abruptly stopping this medication as the possibility of severe damage to my health to death are warned against by ALL, it is obvious that Katherine Hooper is incompetent and, I believe, a danger to vulnerable people receiving medications from her. She made no effort to reach out to my doctor after I made multiple attempts to talk to her/walgreens and my doctor office. To add to it, my doctor would not call the pharmacy (that's a different story) to this worked out for me. ******My former physician that oversaw prescribing this medication since 2017 or so stepped in and sent a script, due to the emergency of it, to bridge the days I would be without this medication. Katherine/Katie, refused to fill it and told me I was "doctor shopping". I have never ever had a pharmacist do something like this!!! I don't know what world she lives in to DECIDE for me that I would even do such a thing. WHAT I WAS DOING, KATIE @ WALGREENS, IS SAVING MY LIFE!!! The only time KATIE decided to call any doctor was to "tell on me" for "doctor shopping". She wanted to make sure they knew "what kind of a patient I was". Regardless of my former doctor's efforts to put my life first and regardless that my health insurance called her to TRY and mediate the issue, she refused. HOWEVER, since I am informed about not only my own health but how to make sure I don't die under incompetent "professionals", I was able to be bridged. I missed close to two days of the medication which was bad enough. I am 100% certain I would have ended up in the Emergency Dept had I not pulled at every resource available. Out of concern and compassion, another pharmacy (local and privately owned) requested all my prescriptions be transferred to them. And, Walgreens did transfer them, EXCEPT, of course, the controlled substance (which I did expect this to happen). It's my belief that Katherine Hooper, made this a battle about me and her. I honestly cannot see any other reason why she would be so viscous about it. ****Lastly, today, when I went to pick up the RX that Walgreens/Katie would finally fill for me around 2pm, I was told the pharmacist had "to do an override" for me to receive it. And, of course, the pharmacist was at lunch so I would need to return later to pick it up. Great, just great, Walgreens. Keep up the s*** work. After sitting in the drive through line for 40 min we were denied our Covid testing for a cruise that day because we "missed out appointment time". We were on site in the line before the appointment time, now forced to pay $500 for immediate testing and lost 2.5 hours of my time and 95 miles on my truck! Worst pharmacy I've seen yet! Horrible customer service. I put in a photo order last night at this "24 hour" Walgreens. At my job we have large photo orders printed every month at Walgreens all over the state of Florida. I have only had issues a handful of times. Because of those past issues I started to call the Walgreens before going to pick up. I did the same thing today. I called this Walgreens to find out if my photo order was ready, low and behold it wasn't. He told me that the system was down and they hadn't even started printing yet. I asked the guy on the phone how long they would take once the system was up, and he said 30 minutes. I asked him if he was sure because I was in a bit of a time crunch. I told him that I needed him to be sure, otherwise I needed to go somewhere else to have them printed. He assured me they would be done. Well I showed up at this Walgreens 30 minutes later and of course they weren't done. The young woman working photo had a major attitude with me when I told her I was told they would be finished. She even tried to shoo me away from the counter by saying "ma'am it's going to be awhile." I hope the people at this store get some proper training from Walgreens corporate. At the very least they should stop calling themselves a 24 hour Walgreens. read more

People of color please be careful shopping in this store in Lake City, Florida! My mother and I were in this location to get a prescription and decided to shop for items. At the checkout counter there was a sign that said "Wait here until an employee has checked out a previous customer." While we waited in line a customer(lady) walked around us, passed the sign and stood in front of the register. An employee from the back came to the register and proceeded to check out this customer. I told the employee that we were in line and was skipped. The employee(lady) said, "She has two items, let me check her out." I told the employee again that the sign said to wait at this point until an employee calls you to the register. The employee said again "She has two items, let me check her out, I am sorry." The employee scanned the customers items and the customer exited the store. As we were leaving the store we told the employee that we had not experienced this type of treatment in years. Racism was obvious. I will not shop in this store again. Some employees are biased against people of color. read more

I don't normally shop at Walgreens but today I happened to stop by. As I'm getting ready to check out the person in the front register corrected me about not using the right entrance to checkout. Next time to walk around for the register I apologize and proceed with checking out at this time she ask me for my card I ask for help with the app so she could scan the barcode and she proceeded to tell me she knows nothing about that app or that stuff. This lady is just miserable and unhelpful just rude wow she most not like her job or been there. I felt so horrible on the way I was treated by this lady I just terminated my transaction and left all I cant remember name but I do remember is 2008 or 08 on her tag. I don't know if the four stars are fair or not I want some in this location often. Men's Christmas Eve is 830 all the other stores in time and clothes for 2 1/2 hours. They appeared to be well staffed in stock this shelves were A little messy Milan slid expected on a night like tonight. I like the selection of skin care I love store. I also think they have a good selection have a higher end and salon haircare productsI'm going to lose customers who has coupons, digital coupons, please check this part is for me, my balance rewards card is on my phone, Apple Pay, pain in the butt customers and they were really busy and the associate was extremely patient.One thing I'm always annoyed with in a store as when I can't find a price on something, this store had a few of those items but I have the app so I can just scan the barcode with my phone it doesn't bother me that much anymore.
