THIS REVIEW IS FOR 8309 southside location: I have had multiple troubles with this pharmacy and the rude staff- the drive through takes over 30 minutes at least even when there are only two cars ahead of you. I have been trying to get my medication for a week and despite my doctor calling it in numerous times, I have been hung up on and told I need to call my doctor office to request the medication despite having multiple messages that it's already been called in on my chart. I was also given a controlled substance that was not mine with the name and birthday and identifying information of another patient- huge HIPPA violation. read more

Short of closing your business nothing could ever be improved. The more people you have working behind the counter and with your automated system it's a real cluster! I transferred to CVS and ironically so did our blue cross blue shield coverage. That's no coincidence. 200% improvement. Best move I ever made! read more

Absolutely incompetent and lazy workers. I was the only customer in the store and my receipt never printed ($70). I asked for the receipt and the cashier said it went to my email and that there was ZERO way for him to retrieve the receipt for me. The email never came through and I didn't even know which email my Walgreens account was linked to. Common sense would tell me that there is absolutely a workaround or way to retrieve a receipt. The transaction isn't just done and the receipt can never be retrieved again??? Nothing about that makes sense. And if he didn't have the answer, he could have given it 1% of effort to ask a manager. Again, I was the ONLY customer in the store on a Monday morning. I then had to return one of the items I bought, and stopped at a different Walgreens that is just down the street from my home. I was told THE ITEM CANNOT BE RETURNED BECAUSE I DONT HAVE A RECEIPT AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE 30 MIN BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WALGREENS TO GET THE RECEIPT OR RETURN IT THERE. WHAT A HORRIFIC BUSINESS MODEL AND LAZY LAZY PEOPLE. Extremely disappointed and aggravated. I changed my prescriptions from the Southside Blvd. location. Did give them a few weeks to see if things improved. But, for some reason or another. Either the computers were having problems. Such as Dr. requests were not received. Service of Staff not friendly. Seemed disorganized. Do not recommend using the pharmacy here. The store is always empty when I go, and there's also barely anyone waiting in line at the pharmacy, yet somehow I've been there twice today for a flu vaccine and the wait time has always been over an hour for the vaccine. The first time I went, the cashier said I had to make an appointment and they were unable to do walk in appointments, so I made an appointment online. When I came the second time during my appointment time, they said it was over an hour wait for the vaccine ... like ... what's the point of making an appointment then??? Honestly, I had gone to Winn Dixie next door first and they were much more efficient and friendlier (unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover the vaccine there). read more

This Walgreens is nothing but a crooked company. I was going to Winn Dixie pharmacy but they ended that department and switched my account to Walgreens. Everything went fine for the first refill of my sisters prescription. But the next refill they stopped honoring her discount so the price went from $40 to $470. These people are crooks and use bait and switch tactics. It is no wonder they are closing so many Walgreens stores as customers get wise to their crooked way of doing business. I took my sisters subscription to CVS who not only honered the discount but it ended up to be $20.00 lower than when Walgreens gave me the original discount the first time I went there. Walgreens is headed for bankruptcy in my opinion dealing with customers like this. If you are smart take your business to CVS or some other pharmacy. read more

There has been one too many times now where I've tried to pick up some prescriptions and I left because the wait is too long. At the drive-through you can see the line of people inside the store and one person working. No acknowledgment when I drove up. I'm ready to transfer my prescription somewhere else. read more

The girl at the cash register was busy & as we are waiting to get our photos which took 20 minutes the cashier 4 times called a persons name to come up to help us. If someone calls you by the second time you need to go and help. Then the guy comes up with a little bit of a attitude and says we are short staffed. I walked the store and didn't see this person working on the floor so evidently he was in the back somewhere. I understand there is a staff shortage everywhere but you don't let a customer stand there 20 minutes while your name is being called to help someone. read more

I like this Walgreens Pharmacy much better than the one in Southside Blvd. They stick to the doctor's scripts and don't question the doctor's decision on what he/she prescribes you. This pharmacy verifies and distributes if all checks out. My mother uses this Pharmacy quite frequently due to the fact she's on different medications and, more often than not, we only have to wait an hour or so. They are quick whether you go inside or go thru the drive thru. As for the store itself, it's clean and the staff has always been friendly and professional each time I went in. I also feel Walgreens' prices are better than CVS. Always an easy transaction when I shop here or use the pharmacy. read more

Always 15-30 minutes in the one lane drive thru. Terrible customer service. Always 3 or more cars backed up. We moved and the San Jose Walgreens never took this long and much friendlier. Maybe this Walgreens should learn customer service skills and fire the person in charge of pharmacy. read more

The man who works at the pharmacy is rude. I was picking up a prescription and he did not even look at me and told me the wait would be an hour to an hour and a half for it to be ready....he also Rudely said that my prescription was sent "before they even opened" as if it was my fault or such a hassle for that to happen. read more

We have been using the Walgreens on Baymeadows for many of our prescriptions for many years. They are fast and friendly. There drive-through is usually very quick. If you have to wait for your medication, that usually doesn't take very long. When we go in they have a lot of great things to offer at fair sale prices. You can't go wrong with this location. The people are very friendly. Parking is very easy. And their prescription handling is very professional and prompt. read more

How does someone review a Walgreens? Well based solely on customer service this place would get the maximum amount of stars because the cashier I had the other night went out of her way to make sure I had a great experience. She made jokes (not the obnoxiouslet lame ones but nice witty remarks), she checked my items to see if there were coupons, and just overall had a great personality that made my feelings about the store fade away if only for a few moments. The other half of this, is that the store itself just seems dated and not somewhere you go to shop when you are on a budget. The layout and interior feels like it's a satirical replica of how Hollywood would represent a corner drug store. The prices are way too crazy and I had to try to remember how much some of the regular items are at other stores because I couldn't believe that some things costed so much at Walgreens. I might be nitpicking at the store itself but the prices make it a place to stay away from for your shopping needs. Even with the customer service being really good I see any other corner store or supermarket as a better option for shopping or pharmaceutical needs. read more

It's a usual Walgreens but it usually isn't too crowded and the staff is really friendly. They sell pretty much everything here and I usually stop here if I need sunscreen or something when I'm in town. read more

Conveniently located off of the interstate, new, clean and well stocked. The wait at the pharmacy was crazy long with one person monopolizing the pharmacists time. Employees should manage this better by utilizing other employees behind the counter. Service at all Walgreens seems to be pretty lousy. Most employees are unfriendly and could use some retraining. read more
