After the surgery, I noticed a line and indentation above my jawline on the right side of my face. When I asked Doctor Block if it would eventually fade, his response was simply, "maybe, maybe not." I returned for a follow-up hoping for more guidance, but the suggestion was to use fillers. This left me wondering why I had bothered with a Facelift in the first place if fillers were going to be the solution. Additionally, the neck lift that was supposed to improve my appearance did not meet my expectations. My neck still looks problematic, and despite multiple visits, I felt there was a lack of concern or helpful input from Doctor Block and their staff. Even after nearly a year had passed, I sent photos asking for advice after consulting with two other surgeons, but the response remained indifferent. He has always kept up with new ideas and methods and I have no complaints about any of the work he has done (which in my case has been A LOT of work!) In the 80s I had my teeth bonded due to issues I had with my top front teeth. As methods changed, he recommended porcelain veneers which I have had for over 20 years and are still going strong. I also have a lot of fillings from when I was younger in the 70s. He has, over time, when they have cracked, have replaced them. On the ones he replaced, I had no issues. Having my teeth cleaned seems uneventful due to this water pic like plaque remover. Dr Sigman and his staff have always been gentle and accommodating.

After many months of research I found Dr. Shapira's website. I was hesitant to make the appointment due to the distance I would have to drive and feeling hopeless, but after being astonished from watching all the testimonials on his website I thought it was worth a shot. At the first visit I could instantly tell he had superior knowledge about my issues than other doctors I met with previously. He was open and honest about my condition, the long treatment plan, and the high cost of care. Although this information was intimidating, I finally knew what the saying meant "health is wealth", life is not worth living in constant pain and discomfort. Therefore, I decided to proceed with his treatment plan. 1 year later I can honestly say that it has been the best money I have ever spent. I am about ~80% better and I will hopefully continue to improve over time.
