This Walgreens has been consistently disappointing when it comes to pharmacy speed, and the staff can be very rude. The wait times are some of the slowest around, even for simple pickups. The drive‑thru is even worse -- it moves at a crawl, so you're better off going inside if you have to come here at all. Everything that could go wrong did I ordered my prescription in time not to be without it however there was a issue with my insurance that nobody bother to call me I called several times and got shuffled around to other Walgreens and a few call centers. Finally I was told it was taken care of after sitting in the little pietre dish of germs waiting area for 45 minutes I was told they were out of the drug and would have to order it why did they not check that before having me sit for 45 minutes. It was infuriating. Fast forward to this month same thing but even more frustrating I was told to go to a different Walgreens that they definitely had the drug and lo an behold they didn't. They had to order the drug also. On top of that the person behind the counter was really rude so I got rude back her words to me were we are understaffed I said I don't think that is my problem. My problem is you never have my order ready when it is expected. read more

officially done with this pharmacy. If your sick, idc if your dying, they don't care to fill your stuff for 7,8,9 hours later and even then you have to call over and over. They have put all my prescriptions on hold for insurance issue, they keep trying to use my old expired insurance, even tho i've told them at least 5 times to DELETE IT OUT OF THEIR SYSTEM. Then I gave them my new insurance card and said please put this one under my account so this won't happen anymore, and she looked at me in my eyes and said "this isn't an insurance card" It in fact was. Idk how you can work in a pharmacy and don't even know what an insurance card looks like. There's times where I will ask a time estimate on a prescription and they will say 3-4 hours. For one thing. Then say "but if you wait in store I can fill it in about 10-15 mins" WTF!!?! Never using them again, their pharmacy SUCKS. read more

COVID had nothing to do with the rudeness I experienced while in this store today. I was trying to make a purchase and return two items that I did not have the receipt for. The young man who was trying his best to provide a good service for me.. he was great, very nice to me. Needed help however from his manager. Her name is Michelle. She was awful. Acted like it was an inconvenience to help him. He had to ask several times. I was appalled at her rudeness. She never spoke to me. Maybe training would have helped. Shawn really tried, but she absolutely was not interested in helping him or me. You need to get rid of her. She does not have the tolerance for working with the public. VERY POOR SERVICE. read more

Easily the worst Walgreens in the area. The service is always incredibly slow (case in point- have waited in pharmacy line over 20 minutes only to be told the rx I requested over 24 hours prior was not ready. Another case: placed a curbside order, they took 30 min to let me know order was delayed. Never notified of why it was delayed, order never picked back up, and the transaction never dropped from my credit card.), the little staff they have for front of store and pharmacy are rude and both the selection of items and respective prices online or at other Walgreens locations are much better. Their saving grace is that they're open 24 hours, but you'd honestly be better off driving to the next closest one in Greensboro or thomasville. read more

Waited 30 minutes in the drive thru for a prescription and there were only two cars in front and the guy at the window is absolutely clueless in handling anything. No urgency by any employee at this store. I would recommend using any other pharmacy even if you have to drive an hour away to get it. read more

I love Walgreens; I always have. It's just better than all the other pharmacies; period. Their sales (buy one, get one 50% off in particular) are great and their clearance sections usually have pretty good stuff; not just crap. Still getting used to seeing wine and beer in grocery stores and pharmacies; it's so convenient! And hilarious too (remember, I'm a Jersey Girl). The staff is very polite and helpful. The store is quite clean and very well organized as well. This particular Walgreens is the closest to me (I will happily travel 10 minutes for pharmaceutical needs unless it's an emergency of course), so I plan on this being one of my regular spots for health and wellness purchases as well as taking advantage of their great sales for personal toiletries and such. read more

I frequent this Walgreens probably more than I care to admit. It has most of everything I need with I'm pinched for time. If I'm out of flour or sugar or olive oil and I don't want to face going to the grocery store, I come to Walgreens. When I have a stuffy nose or a little stomach bug, I can always find what I need here. When I'm running low on lip balm or mascara, I can always find what I'm looking for here. This location is always well stocked, and I love using my Walgreens card to get points back. I have visited Walgreens so much that I often get to use my points as cash. It's always a nice surprise when the cashier asks you if you want to use your "$3 off." You can also utilize your Walgreens rewards card to get better access to sales. Most of the cashiers are kind and helpful. There are a few that need training in customer service, but overall I'm happy with my experiences here at the Walgreens on N Main. read more

Went into Walgreens tonight for the Schick Quattro razor. On sale for 12.99 buy one get one free. At least thats the price at the Reynolda Road store. Nope. This location didn't even carry it. And I had a four dollar coupon. Ive noticed the Walgreens in this area just dont quite get it right. One store had Gilette Fusion on closeout for 3.00(6.99 off) but were out. So I drove to Reynolda. They had it for 6.99 (3.00off). I think the area manager has a little dyslexia issue. Pissed tonight. So I paid full price. The fuzz on the head has to go. read more

South Main High Point store: If you have a choice, go somewhere else! This is a big, expensive, convenience store. My insurance has me coming here as it's "preferred" pharmacy. Evidently they don't come to this store. Slow. I wait longer here than at any pharmacy I've ever used. Makes no difference if there are several people in line or just one, they manage to keep you there for what seems like forever. If you're the only one in line they just all go into the prep area and busy themselves for a while. Hours. Again this isn't a pharmacy it's a convenience store which happens to have a pharmacy section. I can't say how many times I've stopped when the lights were on and the parking lot occupied only to find the pharmacy locked tight. I guess that's not their primary business (They should change the name) Accuracy/Customer service: I've had no problems with the medicine itself. Thank goodness! Information?? That's a whole different story! You have to talk with a computer. It is not informed. I call in a prescription on Saturday and the computer tells me they'll have to call the doctor and it will be ready Sunday . I know better. My doctor doesn't work on Sundays. I get a computerized call saying my prescription is ready. I go to the store, it isn't. "You'll have to wait 15-20 minutes" This happens with some regularity. Little aggravating things like being asked if I'd like my medicine in 90 day supplies, I say yes, it doesn't matter, it still comes as 30. Not a big deal but why do they ask? Staff. Usually slow but competent, however, the turnover is either phenomenal or they rotate between stores. You'll never really get acquainted with a pharmacy clerk because you don't see the same one very often. Overall, not a place I'd choose. I just got reprimanded by the guy working the pharmacy window, and I wasn't real fond of that! In the interest of full disclosure, I blew my horn at the lady in front of me, which probably came across as rude. I only did it because a squirrel had just run out in front of her car as she started to pull away, and I wanted to be sure she did not run over it. Things went according to plan, as she did stop and Mr. or Ms. squirrel ran to safety! I am truly sorry if that came across as rude to her, and it probably did. I just could not bear to see the little squirrel that we had been watching end up as road kill. Yes I am that girl! To the lady in the red Altima, I wasn't trying to be rude, just trying to save a life! After she pulled away, it was my turn at the window. Let me say up front, I wasn't in any way annoyed by the wait. I was sitting there minding my own business when the guy came over the exterior intercom and asked what I needed. As I think anyone would, I told him what I needed. Then he rudely informed me that he was still working with someone else, apparently someone on the phone. Now there's no way I could've known that. After he filled my prescription, he informed me that for future reference something to the effect that my patience would be appreciated and that he was still working with someone else. At first I thought he was talking about blowing my horn so I explained that, but then I realized he was talking about me talking to him while he was still working with someone on the phone. So for his future reference, if he is not ready to wait on the person in the car he should not come over the exterior intercom and ask what they need. Most likely he didn't intend to push the button to broadcast outside, but he did. So for another future reference, maybe he should learn how to use the intercom system and not assume any fault lies with his customers! The whole situation really kind of put me in a bad mood on Easter Sunday! This prescription was for my mother. I would not have opted to go to a drugstore on Easter Sunday had it been up to me. I can also say for my preference, if you can't get it through mail order I would rather go to CVS. Prescriptions might cost a little more, but the stores are much much cleaner and the service is much much better. read more

Wow. This review is specifically about the pharmacy. Everyone who works at this location is wonderful, with one exception, the pharmacist. I'm sure there are more than one, but BISSI is who I'm referring to, and I have never been treated so rudely, disrespectfully, and insensitively by anyone in a professional setting in my life. It's obvious she became a pharmacist for the salary, not because she wants to help people. I spoke with the manager about her, but I'm assuming she probably has more clout than he does, seeing as house the average pharmacist's salary is 120k. I've recently become my fathers caregiver after he experienced a near death experience. He's now on so much medication, and I've never had to deal with anything like this. He had a short stint in a nursing home and was sent home with enough medicines to make it until he saw his primary care doctor. It took a lot to finally get the medications called into the pharmacy from the doctors office. I was given a medication list from the nursing home to refer to, but when some of them were filled they were called different names. I was simply trying to make sure he had everything that he was supposed to have, but apparently she was annoyed by my need for professional assistance. I guess that was the core problem. She's not professional. There was one rx that was a months worth that he was sent home with from the nursing home. When I asked if his doctor had called that rx in, she told me, he was given a months worth, its not time for that to be refilled. i proceeded to attempt to ask her a question, she cuts me off, and tells me, look sir, ive already answered everything you need to know. she wouldnt even let me ask my question. all i wanted to know was if he had that prescription on file from his dr so when it was ready to be refilled he didnt need a prescription, it would just be called in for a refill. i asked to speak to someone else and she couldnt wait to get rid of me. i was in disbelief. i had 2 more prescriptions to pick up from her, after i had already been there once that day and was assured that everything was ready. and on top of all of that, when i called, i waited on hold for 25 mins and was eventually just hung up on. i understand that shes probably a relative decent person, and maybe she was having a bad day, but thats not my problem. i am a customer and its her job to help me. she may have had a bad day, but ive had a bad 6 months, and after my father was barely able to survive, the only thing thats keeping him alive is his medication. im in complete control of all of this and im only 30. i dont know what im doing. but she doesnt care. she was the most uncompassionate, inconsideerate, and unprofessional medical professional ive ever had to deal with in my life. i refused to go back there to get the remaining medication and had them transferred to a different pharmacy. all i wanted was his medication and to make sure i had everything right, but instead i was treated as an inconvenience, and as if things arent hard enough, i was left in tears. be forewarned about BISSI, or as I like to refer to her, that b****y BISSI b****. If you happen to read this madam, you should be ashamed of yourself, and you are a disgrace to your profession, along with pharmacists everywhere. As soon as my father retires in a month and switches insurance, we will not be going back to walgreens ever again. read more
