I think most of these reviews are outdated. I visited today and had a great experience. Went inside to pick up my script, pharmacist and staff were both helpful and friendly. Paid for something upfront and other than than the cashier "over-sharing" about another customer, they were nice. Maybe a small tweak in discretion, and it would've been perfect. I was just turned away by the Minute Clinic for being a little late to my COVID test. I was never turned away before during the whole pandemic when I got COVID tests. And additionally a white woman who came after me was served before me even though she didn't finish checking in. It's giving Jim Crow. I will never come back here. read more

I booked online an appointment to get the latest Covid vaccine. I received an email confirmation showing my Covid vaccine appointment. When I arrived for my appointment the pharmacist said they haven't even received the vaccine yet! How is CVS allowing people to make vaccine appointments at stores that don't even have the vaccine??? If I could give a negative amount of stars I would. I have the misfortune to work with this pharmacy due to insurance limitations. There are several technicians who are so condescending and insulting, they shouldn't work with customers. If a customer comes in to refill a prescription, the customer should be told at that time that there is an issue with the prescription, not when the prescription is supposed to be ready. The issue could be resolved with one phone call the technician couldn't be bothered to do this. I fully understand that medications can't be handed out like candy. I don't understand why these people have to go out of their way to be nasty. read more

They always have items listed in stock, it's clean and organized. They have great deals on clearance. They have self checkout, which is a huge bonus for me. The only downside is the amount of homeless people outside of the store. However, CVS can't control that. So they still get 5 stars. :) read more

Have dealt at this location and pharmacy off and on going back to when it was Revco. Pharmacy has no idea of customer service: expired prescription was restocked with out notice, no out reach to see if I wanted a call to provider to renew. They have been out of one of my medications for over 3 weeks but pharmacist has no idea of when it will be delivered. No concern for customer is demonstrated. read more

I called in to buy crutches for my husband. When I got there, no one was at the counter, so I stood there and waited. I was the only one in the store. Then, while I was still standing there waiting, a woman walked in the door. The clerk came from the back of the store, and asked her if he could help her. He didn't see me waiting at the counter. I got there first. The woman he talked to acted like she expected him to wait on her first, even though I was obviously there first. I stood my ground at the counter, and told the clerk I had called in about crutches, and I needed to pay for them. He looked at me like I had two heads. He said, "Then go and get the crutches, go and pick them out." I said, "I don't know where the crutches are." He said they were on the counter, but I did not see them, because they were in a small box. They needed to be assembled. He gave me a "deer in the headlights" look, and pointed where they were. He could have simply reached over and gotten it himself, since he was the one who put it aside. He rang me up, while the other customer looked disapproving that she didn't get to cut in front of me. I had driven through the ice and the rain just to get treated so rudely by both the clerk and the entitled other customer, who didn't want to wait her turn. Yet I was treated like the jerk. I wish I could give them negative stars. I will never go there again. read more

I needed a flu shot, and stopped here on a Wednesday afternoon recently. As a former employee, I knew it was usually well -staffed and clean. After about a 25 minute wait (reasonable I thought), the pharmacist came out to the waiting area to administer the shot. She did offer to pull out a "folding screen" which I declined to use. At the time I was standing and most of the chairs were taken, so I sat at the small blood pressure stool. She had to set her plastic basket containing the syringe, vial and sterile gloves on the floor while getting the injection ready. I was really shocked that there was not a better place to do this, it is not a new process! I would not recommend this CVS for any vaccinations until they provide better, cleaner accommodations for it. Other pharmacies provide a better set up. read more

I created a Yelp acct just for CVS. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I have been filling prescriptions at this location for myself, my husband and my children for at least 6 years, maybe more. Something changed a year or so ago that caused their ability to provide quality care and quality customer service to spiral downward. During the past year there have been at least 4 or 5 moments when I should have transfered any scrips some place else but because of location & 24 hour option I never did. Yesterday I called to see if my child's antibiotic was ready which the doc had called in. I was on hold so long, I decided to drive there because it had been 6 hours so it should be ready. I keep the call going, pulled up to the drive thru behind 2 cars and waited, on hold. still on hold. Once up to the window I explained to "Audrey" that I was still on hold & would have checked on this med but couldn't get thru. I gave her my name for a refill called in 2 days prior, and my son's name. She said the insurance would need to be called in and that would take a while so I would need to come back. I asked her how much it was without insurance- her answer "$37.00". Ok. I asked her about mine. She said the doc denied refill. What?! I have 3 refills left on that med, what are you talking about?! She said it expired in March. No that was a different med. She then walked away from the window, leaving me sitting there, refusing to speak with me. This is the 2nd time I've dealt with this person. The last time, 4 months ago, she told me my med wasn't ready but to come back in 30 min and it would be. I came back in 40. She said it would be a hour. I parked & went inside to talk to manager about customer service, setting expectations. He said they were very busy. I should have left then. This girl is the epitome of rude. I went to Target yesterday which is closer to me that this cvs. They are open late enough. They transferred that scrip as I stood there. They asked for my insurance card and said, "this will take only a couple of minutes if that's ok." NOT a while! NOT you'll have to come back! I asked how much it was before insurance.... he said, $8.00!!!! NOT $37.00!! MY med also had refills left, cvs had mixed it up with a different scrip. I was in and out of Target in less than 15 minuets. I will never set foot in CVS college road again. I despise everything that they represent. PS... Dont depend on their 24 hour. I went their after ER visit with my daughter & they weren't open. They also sent a bottle of pills home with my husband a month ago that I didn't even refill. The doc didn't call it in either. This is a standard CVS drugstore. It has a variety of household items, specialty items, snacks, a pharmacy, you name it. There are usually some good sales as well on packaged water if that's your thing. The pharmacy here is also pretty good as well. The place is kept clean, and the staff here are pretty nice. I wish they had more variety in regards to personal care items. Otherwise, it's a standard CVS. read more

I visited this location about 2 weeks ago to pick up a few items. I like coming here after work some days because it's on the way home. When I went to the check out counter, nobody was there. I waited at least 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged and that was after I called out that I needed to check out. The cashier had been standing only 10 feet away helping a customer and had completely ignored the line of people waiting for service next to her. In fact, 2 customers put down their stuff and walked out because they couldn't wait. When the young bespectacled woman finally came over, she tried to be overly-friendly and it was really obnoxious. I refuse to visit this store again if this behavior is acceptable there. read more

The ladies running the covid testing today 04/03/2021 are TERRIBLE!! I'm already not feeling well and their testing process is totally different from all the other CVS. They have a booth that you go too instead of going through the pharmacy drive through. So when I got there I was confused I tried to call but but never got an human due to the automated system. They are supposed to give you a 10min window to make it but when I walked in to get tested 3 mins after the window because they let someone else in they told me my appointment was canceled very condescendingly. read more

I can't believe this place is still open- the Pharmacy is the worst I have ever experienced in my entire life! My doctor sent in my prescription when I had my annual checkup in September - they filled it - no problem. When I sent in the refill request for October - the automated system said they needed to contact my doctor for approval- five days later when I contacted - after trying to call them from 8:30 in the morning until 2:28 in the afternoon (after being on hold for 49 minutes) they said that my Dr. had not called them back - so I asked when had they planned to let me know this? No answer. I said I would contact my doctor- which I did and they confirmed they had sent them a prescription for refills for a year- in September and did not understand why they claimed ot not have it because they would not have been able to fill the first one with out it.... So, I called back - only on hold for 14 minutes this time- and posed the question....crickets.....ask to speak with the supervisor- she just said they didn't have it. Needless to day- I contacted my doctor and asked them to send a new prescription to a new pharmacy - NOT CVS- Glad I didn't have any urgent need or on any kind of anti-psychotic meds.....Horrible customer service and extremely incompetent people. read more

I don't use the pharmacy here, but I do stop in for all my other drugstore needs. You cannot beat the prices at CVS! The sales are fantastic! If you get a CVS card, the coupons are catered to what you purchase! It doesn't hurt that there are stray cats that the employees feed!! It adds to the neighborhood feel of this CVS! read more

I have had several issues with this particular CVS Pharmacy location. Most recently, I requested to fill a prescription for an injection in the form of a pre-filled syringe. I was given the auto-injector version of the injection three times in a row within a 30 minute period after explicitly asking for the pre-filled syringe. After the third time, the pharmacy tech asked me to speak to the pharmacist about the issue and rather than saying the medication was not in stock, the pharmacist tried to tell me that the medication I needed was not manufactured in the pre-filled syringe form in which my doctor prescribed. The entire interaction with the pharmacist was unprofessional. She went over to the other pharmacist (who also told me that the medication was only manufactured in one form) and the two spent 15 minutes searching the medication manufacturer's website and calling the manufacturer for more information all while ignoring what was written on my prescription. I definitely do not recommend using this location. There have been times that I have received an incorrect dosage of a medication and the pharmacists have been completely rude to myself and other customers. If CVS is your go-to, I'd definitely try another location. read more

Wow, stopped in at the Minute Clinic with 3 people in front of me. 1.5 hours later as I still wait tobe seen, I've thought of a couple of choice names far better suited. What's crazy is they even incorporate the acronym "ASAP" into their toll free number. As Slow As Possible? I'm guessing the nurse here is payed hourly vs per patient, CVS might want to reconsider an incentive program for their minute clinic employees. In all fairness, I've heard good things from friends who've gone to clinics in other cities, but this location should be called the 90 minute clinic. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went to the drive through to pick up my prescriptions, first off the wait was ridiculous but that's not even my issue, I could careless about the wait because I get it. I waited over 30 minutes to finally get to the window, the women who helped me brought about 6/7 different prescriptions to the window but my doctor told me I have 3. After she rung everything up it came too almost $70 therefore I just wanted to know what I was paying for. She catches an attitude and says "you came too the drive through window with all these questions, you should've came inside for that if you didn't know what you needed." I simply responded with "I've already waited 30 minutes in line, I'm trying to work with you so please have the same courtesy for me." She proceeded to cut me off, ask for my information over again, at that point it was evident that she didn't know how to do her job; I just got the one I know I specifically came for and will just call my doctor tomorrow so see what's going on. Whether I'm inside or in the drive through that I patiently waited in, have enough decency to do your job & give the same respect your getting. That's all. read more

In the past, I have had some truly atrocious experiences at this pharmacy. I've waited 40+ minutes in line to pick up a prescription only to be treated rudely by the pharmacy tech. However, I thought things had improved recently. There seem to be more staff and the lines move faster, but there are still some staff there, especially one named Jeremy, who is rude and would not let me finish my sentence before talking over me. If this pharmacy wasn't so convenient I would switch, and I still may do just that. read more

I will never return to this CVS despite having recently moved closer. I required a refill on a prescription that could possibly have killed me from withdraw if I did not receive it when due. I was told on the phone that I could refill my prescription two days prior to the 30 day refill date. So, I headed over on a Saturday and was told I couldn't get it until Monday. I only had enough for part of Sunday as I have to take them 3 times a day. The pharmacist refused to refill it before Monday and didn't seem to care that I should be able to pick it up on that Saturday. She continued to refuse so I pulled out my phone and asked her to humour me for a moment. I counted out the days on my calendar in front of her, showing her that since I picked it up on the 3rd of January, 30 days as counted out leads to the 5th of February, two days ahead of that, as I was informed I could fill my prescription, would have been the 3rd, i.e., that Saturday! She continued to refuse to fill it, looking at me as if I was some sort of dealer or junkie. So, I called my previous CVS, and was told it would be filled on Sunday with no problem. So, I'm going back there despite the extra drive time, it's worth it to not literally have a stroke because of a judgmental, stubborn pharmacist who actually doesn't know what she was talking about. read more

Good god this is the slowest pharmacy I've ever encountered. Their management must be horrible because the slowness doesn't appear to be due to lack of personnel. At any given time there are 2-3 pharmacists on duty, plus 2-3 tech's, plus 2-3 cashiers. Yet no matter what time of day I go, I can choose to wait about 20-30 minutes in the drive thru line (not because of volume, usually only 2-4 cars ahead of me) or 10-20 minutes inside, again not due to volume. The organization is horrible because the cashier spends about 3-5 minutes searching for my prescription every time I pick something up. I'm not the only one who gets these delays, fellow customers are always complaining about it while waiting in line. I truly can't imagine what could possibly be causing the delays given the amount of people working behind the counter. I've seen much busier pharmacies run much smoother and quicker. The employees are nice, so at least you get to speak to a friendly face after wasting 30 minutes of your life. The only reason I stay with this pharmacy is because it's on my way home from work. I used to use Walgreens and they were amazing, very fast and efficient service. But I had to drive 10 minutes out of my way to get there. Ugh. I stay with this CVS because I hope one day to encounter better service, but the past 6 months have proven otherwise, so perhaps it's time for a switch. read more

Just wanted to share the awful experience that I just had in Store 5500, in Greensboro NC. What a staggering lack of compassion! With my daughter barely able to catch her breath, the store manger Scott Christy refused to take my benefits Mastercard, nor would he call the phone number I provided to him to verify the card. Likewise a photo of the card sent my daughter's phone was not good enough. We have been using that pharmacy since my daughter moved there for college. Shame on you Mr. Christy and CVS. read more

This pharmacy is great! My daughter and I have been coming here for years and the staff has always been friendly and professional. Whenever a problem occurred with prescriptions from the physician's end, staff went the extra mile so the prescription could be filled. Even when the pharmacy was under renovation, the staff still handled our requests as quickly as possible. Staff has given me medication contraindications to show my physician who was pleased the pharmacist shared the information. I understand that if there is any wait time, it may be due to someone's prescription has expired, documentation from the physician's office has not been received or possibly a problem with the insurance. Waiting may mean they are checking that the medication is for the right person, right dosage, right medication, medication was discontinued, etc. If you have to wait, they are just doing what they should, being thorough and correct. If the wait will be a considerable amount of time, I come back. The staff has a lot of detailed, complex and state regulated requirements to deal with, so we wouldn't want them to rush through anything just to serve the next person in line. We will not go anywhere else for our prescriptions. read more
