I came in to pick up a package. Arian behind the counter was very pleasant. Arian said "someone will be right with you". I saw the manager come out and there were 5 people in line. The manager James could not have cared less. He made no attempt to help me as I stood in his direct view doing some trivial inventory thing. About 10 min went by, everyone who came in after me was helped. Management gets a zero for this trip although it was not Arians fault and he couldn't have been nicer. read more

Short staffed and very popular, an unlucky combination for a corporate drug store chain. Always makes me wish for the time of Mr. Gower and privately owned individual pharmacies. However I wouldn't have been able to get my Oil of Olay face cream at an old school pharmacy so maybe it's a wash. Anyway, I've been here a couple of times and the parking lot is always filled to capacity with mostly very bad drivers with very limited vision, a long line at the drive through, a long line at both the pharmacy inside and cashier check out. Better than the Walgreens by my house though. read more

I'm a huge fan of Walgreens because they have so many items I need. This location is convenient for me and the people who work there are usually friendly and polite. A cashier always greets you when you come in the door and there are usually a handful of people working on the floor if you need help finding anything. The selection and layout is better here than at the Walgreens up the street at Fuller and Knapp, and this store is newer and cleaner as well. I always use my rewards card because you get discounts and collect points for your purchases. It's always a nice surprise when you get to the register and they ask if you want to apply your $5 off discount! I've only had a few issues with the pharmacy itself at this Walgreens - like the time their computer systems were down so I had to pay out of pocket for a covered prescription, which wasn't a huge deal. I like using the drive through to pick up quick prescriptions and as I said, most of the techs and pharmacists I've encountered are friendly. Walgreens isn't just medicine and prescriptions; it's one of the few places I can find the Teavana bottled drinks that I love (often on sale for 2 / $4). I like their selection of gift bags with tissue paper included for a quick gift on your way to a party or a shower. They also sell beer and wine if you need some of those kinds of supplies. Their game selection is pretty good for a drugstore, and I've purchased other small gifts here for white elephant and gift exchanges throughout the holidays. They have a large selection of gift cards for various stores, which is another reason it's a great stop if you need a last minute gift. I would note to avoid the Walgreens "Nice" brand cheese - it's just not as good as brand name stuff. Other Nice brand products I've tried are great, though! This location is near a bus stop and a busy intersection where pan handlers are known to hang out. I've heard some people complain about this but I have never had any issues. Occasionally someone will ask for change on my way in or out of the store but this doesn't affect my rating of Walgreens itself. Personally I love this Walgreens and I count it as one of my favorite stores! read more

Ordered metal panels through the app. They were supposed to be ready same day. I did not get an email advising they were ready for pick up, and was told that they don't do metal panels at the store. it seems as though the Walgreens around Grand Rapids are not full service photo Walgreens. The website should be aware of that and shouldn't allow you to complete an order selecting that store for pick up. Very disappointing. read more

there was no one at the cashier so I waited a bit and then hit the call button. By this time there were other customers lined up behind me. An employee showed up shortly but went to a different register than where I was waiting. the people behind me hustled right over to her cutting me off. I had one item and they each had baskets full. This wasn't Walgreens problem but the employee should have noticed the line and insisted on serving the first in line especially considering the amount of items to check out. It was rude of the employee as well as the customers behind me. I left without my purchase and went to CVS where the same face cream was $4 less. Never again will I shop there read more

Rude rude pregnant woman working there. in the past three months I have Been in store about six time all she does is stand around and complain . They NEVER have my script ready even though they call me .. ready for pickup. I switched to Meijers because Walgreens sucks. Give me part of script for five days and takes ten to twenty days to get balance. They should just close pharmacy. Would NOT. show how to use the inhaler (never had one) They are usually dealing with ill customers.Just got home and a message saying I had four scripts waiting and I had already pickedthem up from Meijers...go figure??? Save yourself from all the stress and go somewhere else. read more

Great customer service both in pharmacy and store. They do not accept Good Rx which is unfortunate. Good selection but stock runs out quickly. Will give rain checks when sale items run out. They will go out of their way to help. read more

I came to pick up my medication like I normally do every few months and was told my insurance wasn't on file. The lady tried to charge me the full $60 but I didn't have the money. I came back on my payday and a different associate had no issue finding my insurance at all and I didn't have to pay for my medicine. read more

I waited in drive thru for 30 minutes with 2 cars ahead of me.. the pharmacist couldn't explain to me why I couldn't pick up my prescription I had called in a week earlier. Clean and has it all - including staff that ask if you need help. I've yet to walk in the door without being greeted. This has been my main quick-mart for four months. My experiences with the staff has been consistent. The entrances are a bit sketchy because it's at the corner of a rather busy intersection but with patience and diligence to drive safe it doesn't become a problem. read more

The service at this Walgreens is pathetic. Lines are, not enough people to help, two registers, but only one being used. Just a pathetic place to get a medication. I get an email that shows my meds are ready to be picked up, but get there, and they're not ready at all. I hate going there, but it's so close. read more

This pharmacy is constantly either out of the medication I need or DAYS late. I understand the world is short staffed right now but no other pharmacy seems to be having this much of an issue. Tried to give them a second chance but my time sensitive medication was 2 days late after being reassured it would be ready on time. Definitely moving my scripts somewhere else. read more

I asked for a refill of a critical heart medication from the pharmacy over a week ago. I was told that they didn't have any in stock and would notify me when they could refill the order. After a week, when I was almost out of pills, I called and asked what the status of my order was. They told me they still didn't know when I would get my medication. I asked them to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy that had the pills and they refused. I contacted my doctor and they say that the order has been filled and that they can't order another prescription because this pharmacy is lying about it. This lack of care for people is beyond disgusting. read more

Awful business run by awful and cruel people. I have had a prescription filled here for years for ADHD. One day the pharmacist said no and would not give reason. "I don't feel comfortable filling this script" is all he would say. I asked again in case I have drug interaction with other medication and he would not give reason if there was dosage, safety or other reasons. I am blocked from filling the script at Knapp and Plainfield locations. I call the 800 number and was told by customer service the company supports the pharmacist before even collecting so much as my name. I return to talk to a manager and was told "he does that" and the decision stands. Again, I ask if there is a safety issue and no one will tell me. My physician says the medication is fine for my age and weight. I was a customer for many years and now I go to Meijer. read more

Horrible and rude pharmacy tech named Joya. She closed the pharmacy window EARLY (they close for 30 minutes at 1:30 for lunch) and there were no other cars behind us. She told us it was lunch time and I told her it wasn't yet 1:30 and that it was a quick prescription pick up. She then repeated that it was time for lunch and hung up on me. read more

Extremely disappointing customer service at the pharmacy. It's bad enough that 3 out of 4 prescription orders have some kind of mistake, but the pharmacy staff are rude and seem incapable of realizing that their mistakes cost their customers time and money. Rather than apologizing for my inconvenience, they act as if I'm inconveniencing them with my presence! I can remedy that easy enough - I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

If you need a prescription filled in gr I highly suggest NOT going to the Walgreens on Michigan and Fuller. Went through the drive through and the pharmacist said my insurance has been inactive since May (which is bs because I have used it plenty of times since then). So I called my dad and he called our insurance company only to find out that it in fact, has been active this whole time. So I went inside and talked to another pharmacist and after waiting then for 40 minutes he realized they messed up and the insurance went through. But then I had to wait another 20 minutes for the prescriptions to be "reprocessed". And after waiting then for a full HOUR total, one of the pharmacists sees me sitting there beyond pissed off and asks for my last name, then goes "oh, your prescriptions have been ready for a while". And while ringing me up she goes "looks like he didn't process your insurance..?" So I LOSE IT and snap at her saying that he already did and she goes "oh you're right, I see it right here." Definitely will not be going back to this pharmacy due to the lack of good customer service and general intelligence of the staff. read more

I am pretty broke but I got sick. So I had to pick up some prescriptions from this pharmacy. My doctor gave me a coupon for one of the medicines. Upon realizing that I was hard up for money they found a way to discount it further for me. Not sure how, some sort of pharmacy voodoo or something. But they saved me so much money. With the coupon and some pharmacy wizardry they took my prescription costs from over $120 down to $25. I've never been to a pharmacy that legitimately cared about its patients more than this one. Friendly staff that worked with me to make sure that getting sick didn't also mean going hungry. I'm coming back for all of my prescriptions in the future. read more
