My brain was thinking, "Opening the door would have been helpful" but instead I smiled back, and asked for MAC makeup. She can back with, "Oh sorry hun, we don't sell MAC" I told her that I just read an article in The NY Times where they announced Sephora was now selling MAC" She said, Nope! Sorry hun! Yes, she called a 55 year old women hun. Extremely inappropriate for a girl her age. I do not think hun, baby, doll, any of those types of greeting are appropriate for anyone, at any age. Her smile was obnoxious and she said nothing more after that. She stood there like she expected me to walk away. So I did just that. Turned and walked straight out the door. That was that. No, How about I show you what we have that is comparable? I would have been fine with an alternative option. But the girl was not bright enough to turn it into a sale. She probably even thought she did he job well. So I left, went to Ulta and dropped Over 500.00 there on all new makeup. Not all of it was MAC. But the girls at Ulta were incredible. Helpful, nonjudgmental. They were not made up like Cupie dolls, like in Sephora. They had a more mature, classic look to their makeup. Sephora might be for kids, but I have 6 daughters and 10 granddaughters that will be getting Ulta gift cards from now on, instead of Sephora. What was it, that Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman. I walked in expecting the usual quick stop, but WOW -- the night shift workers turned it into a full-on hospitality experience. These folks aren't just friendly... they're NEXT-LEVEL friendly. The kind of friendly where you walk in at 2 a.m. groggy and half-awake, and suddenly you're smiling like you just walked into a surprise birthday party. They greet you like they've known you your whole life. They make getting gas feel like checking into a luxury hotel. I'm pretty sure one of them offered me life advice AND snack recommendations with the wisdom of a sage. The store was super clean, the coffee fresh, and the vibe immaculate. If there were an award for "Best Gas Station Atmosphere After Midnight," this place would win every single year. If you're passing by late at night, do yourself a favor and stop here. You see the time online and a doctor calls in your script and oh surprise surprise Walgreens Pharmacy closed early. The best part is when you're upset or in a hurry because they have had your script for a day or hours, they act shocked like how dare you get upset that I don't care about your wellbeing, it's not like you Doctor just called it in we had it for hours. Walgreens pharmacy in Brockport needs better staff sloppy and unprofessional. It's so disheartening to know that if you need something expect 24 hours or more.

I'm not too picky on what brands I use.  Pretty much anything they have in the store is great.  I stock up on shampoos and conditioners when the liters are on sale.  And I always find hairspray, or mousse, or some other styling product that's on sale while I'm there, so I get those, too.  Biosilk, Tigi and Bain de Terre are some of my favorites. This location seems to have the best specials. And they have nail polish, lotions, tanning lotions, brushes, and lots of other fun stuff. Dont get me wrong I understand it may cost them. But come on. .50 cents plus state tax AND the tax they charge 55cents. For a 99cents a black and mild Jazz at the store is $1.55? I'm sorry, there is no way that's legal. Anything bought under $5 on debit has a 55cent tax. I use debit and credit cards everywhere and I've NEVER been charged so much. I've seen them charge customers different prices higher prices than what's posted. Most of the items dont have pricing on the so they can charge you 100-400% more. Unfortunately this is the closest local store that I can go to since I dont drive, yet, but weather permitted I will ride my bike to a further store. They have a lot of unhappy customers which is probably why one of their window was smashed out .....I DO NOT CONDONE VIOLENCE OR DAMAGING SOMEONE PROPERTY AT ALL, but I guess karma is a bitch after all.
