I'm routinely on hold for 15-30 minutes AND THEN DISCONNECTED while waiting to speak to a pharmacist, and I have been on hold for 1.5-2 hours out of sheer stubbornness in the past. I'm a senior citizen without regular access to a car. I take a lot of medicines that change occasionally, and I frequently have questions that can't be answered because THEY WILL NOT PICK UP THE PHONE. One day when I had spent hours waiting on the phone, I was furious at all my wasted time, so I went in person and waited in line to speak clearly and without swearing or a raised voice but with evident anger in my voice and face. I expressed my frustration and was told, "Okay." Then the pharmacist just stared at me with a blank expression on her face. Said nothing else. Not "That sounds frustrating," or "Sorry you've had a bad experience." It was at that point that I flipped my lid and stormed off, swearing. Not my finest moment. But they pushed me to the edge: Basically, if you want or need to communicate with your pharmacist, this is NOT the pharmacy for you. They are slow, uncommunicative, with about 75% bad customer service. There is one nice lady, max, and she's not always there. And when my doctor sends in a new prescription for a medicine I've taken for a long time at the exact same dose as usual, they switch to the new prescription at refill time instead of finishing up the original prescription that has 1-2 more refills on it. I'm at the point where I'm going to ask my doctor for paper prescriptions so that my prescription history isn't littered with old prescriptions with only 1-2 refills on them. They also have tried to fill an old prescription that has zero refills left WITHOUT checking to notice the NEW prescription on file; then there's a delay while they needlessly try to request a new prescription from my doctor's office, who refuses because they had ALREADY sent in a new prescription. This causes medication delays. That's why for a while I turned off auto refills. But I had to turn them on again because if I wait until I notice I'm almost out of a med, their supply chain is SO SLOW that I have missed days on my medicine before. And today I asked for smaller bottles because the giant ones they use are overflowing my small medicine storage space, but I was told today that the giant bottle is the standard from the warehouse. So I asked if I could request a transfer to a smaller bottle at pickup time, but I was told that it depends on their workload and staffing at that time. So eff me I guess. I also refused a highly overpriced prescription and asked the pharmacist to reshelve it so that my husband picking up my meds doesn't innocently and accidentally grab that medicine and pay their ridiculous fee at pickup. The pharmacist failed to do as requested. The medicine stayed as pending pickup for days, so I had to go down there, stand in line, and make them remove that medicine from the pickup bin. It's almost like they are trying to make it easier for a mistaken pickup to happen so they can charge me for a medicine I don't want to pay for. Walgreens sucks. Out loud. read more

I usually stop in to pick up my vitamins and I've always had a pleasant experience. The staff and pharmacist always take time to address any concerns or questions I may have and I appreciate that. I have even called to inquire about a prescription dosage and instructions on the best way to take it. Like most drug stores, you may have to wait sometimes but it's never been a problem for me. I also like saving money so I take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off on my vitamins and that is worth it for me. read more

We placed an order at this Walgreens because it was the one physical store that could fulfill it on a tight timeline, even though it is much farther from our home (additional 20 minutes). After arrival, they informed us that they could not fill it. Thus, we lost an hour of time, left without the product, and were delayed in our ability to replace the product. Manager was rude on top of everything else. read more

This Walgreens is in a convenient location. It's right in front of a movie theater and shares a shopping center with several eateries, FedEx Office, an assortment of shops, and the International Farmers Market. You can make a stop before heading to the movies, get a few office supplies near FedEx Office, foot care products after leaving the New Balance store, etc. My only hangup about this location is how rude one of the employees was when I asked about passport photos. read more

I love this location. It is super clean, easy to find products, and are always fully stocked with what you need. The customer service was super friendly and quick. I went in last minute on this particular day to get last minute Holiday cards and a few cosmetic items. They had all I needed. Great location. read more

On October 11, 2024, I entered Walgreens pharmacy on Macon Road and I spoke with the young lady named Laquita, I explain to her that I needed to have my medication filled, and that I had a voucher that would help takeoff the price of the medication that I needed to have filled. The lady proceeded to go into the system and input my information, very kind very informative very alert and kind might I say? I am a senior citizen so I immediately offered my AARP card. The young lady tried to insert my information and it was not available at this time how she still proceeded to get me the lowest rate possible for the medication that I need she contact my healthcare service because I am out of town. I am visiting in the state ofMemphis Tennessee and while on vacation, I have taken ill. The young lady was able to contact my healthcare service which allowed me to proceeded with my purchase. This young lady went above and beyond along with the pharmacist on staff, whose name was Scott. I informed both of them that I was very happy to be at there service to receive such great care and that I definitely would recommend others to come to this location for service. I've been coming to this Walgreens for 15 years and have never had a problem. I was In There tonight and this older black haired guy was running the register. I had two people in front of me and I noticed he was being condescending to these people and talking down to them like he is In some way better than them and talking to them like they were stupid. I get to the register and he takes my money for my items and then I tell him I need to put money on a chime card for my daughter and he starts acting like a I'm hugely inconveniencing him and he starts trying to be condescending towards me because I need money on a card and he doesn't want to. He get into a heated exchange and as I'm walking out he says "you can go ffffffffff....." I stop and turned around and said what was that? He turned his back on me and I left. Walgreens I know it might be hard to hire people but you can get someone better than this guy by just going into public and pick anyone, anytime any place. Not coming back. In all of my decades of living l have never even seen a drug store this awful. They need to make a zero as an option for stars. No customer in the USA should have to wait 1.5 hours in a drive thru to pick up prescriptions. The wait on the inside is not much better. My average wait time inside is 40 minutes. What is going on??? While waiting I did notice a few things: the person serving the window always has a problem locating prescriptions. They rifle thru hundreds of white bags trying to find the right one., no organization. Next, they have one person trying to serve the drive thru and inside line at the same time. Hire somebody!!! They will not answer the phones, and sometimes when they finally answer the phones, they will hang up on you. I have waited 55 minutes only to hear that there is one caller ahead of me. When it's finally my turn, yep they hang up. Who is running this mad house??? Apparently no one. They cannot handle the workload, the turnover is staggering, and they seem to hire people that have never worked in a pharmacy before. They stand there and look at the computer while the lines continue to grow on the inside and the vehicles turn off their engines to save gas while waiting in the drive thru. I dread going to this pharmacy and will definitely look into another pharmacy that is more efficient. This place is pitiful!!!! Change the one star to zero! I hate this place! Walgreens @ the corner of Macon and Germantown Pkwy. DO NOT HAVE YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS SENT TO THIS LOCATIONS. You might not get your meds for 2 days or more. It's sad! read more

I have waited 9 hours for my prescriptions to be filled. I'm really needing my inhaler and my other meds. Sick with a Sinus infection and have to go back to work tomorrow. The pharmacy staff is slow, rude, and never pick up the phone. They will mess up your prescription or delay it and then just shrug when you complain. I have seen many angry and annoyed customers at this pharmacy who storm off. They need to be investigated by corporate. read more

This Walgreen is the slowest and has the worst service. I just called and I noticed someone answered the phone and put me back on hold approximately 8 times. Finally a guy answered the phone with not the best attitude. If you are too busy to answer the phone, at least acknowledge the client and ask if it's okay to put them on hold. I have two auto-refill prescriptions and the system shows they were refilled but I never received a notice nor received them through the mail. Customer service is awful. I will transfer my prescriptions to another Walgreens or a different pharmacy. No need to deal with these situations when there are so many other options. read more

Let me update my review to say that this location needs help! My husband went to pick up our prescriptions and they sent my husbands credit card to another car and they drove off with it! After we waited 48 hours for our medication to be filled. read more

Do not schedule any vaccines at the Walgreens on Macon Rd in Cordova, TN. They refused to give vaccines for scheduled appointments because their pharmacist on duty did not know how to administer a shot. read more

absolute worse customer service. call pharmacy and you will be on hold for at least an hour. long lines for outside pickup, that is if it is not closed due to staff issues or their microphone not working. once inside long lines to pickup prescriptions. we used to like the 24 hour ability but for the past few years it has progressively gotten worse. constant out of stock on some items. we finally changed to another walgreens and it is wonderful, staff is friendly and responsive and no lines. read more

This Walgreens is no different that any of the others. The people here are nice enough but didn't seem to want to go the extra mile. They usually have what you are looking for when you come to a Walgreens. However, they don't accept my insurance so I don't come here very often. I have had nothing but trouble with the pharmacy. After spending an hour and a half trying to get my sons prescription filled, they could not do it. I understand the politics with filling a controlled substance but the process could be a bit smoother on their end. They were extremely busy and everyone seemed to be new and training. It doesn't seem like smart business to put so many new people to work in a pharmacy on a Friday evening... Needless to say, I did not get my medicine. I returned on Monday and turns out they didn't even have it in stock... Won't be coming to this location anymore and don't recommend it to anyone. read more
