The manager here is incredibly rude. I came in with boxes boxes to ship for FedEx, which is a service they offer, and she was extremely irritated with me. She refused to take 2/4 of my boxes saying fedex wouldn't accept them, which made zero sense since 2 were accepted and they were all in similar boxes. Prescription was called in on a Wednesday morning . It was out of stock and they ordered it and said it would be in the next day. Called the next day it was not in. Worst experience I have ever had with a pharmacy in my entire life. I am typically very forgiving of places like this having spent a number of years working in various retail customer service positions so when I say this place is bad, I mean it. The pharmacy that I have filled all of my prescriptions at for over ten years is going out of business, so I innocently thought I could transfer them to this Walgreens location because it is the only remaining Walgreens with a 24 hour pharmacy in the area. Well I guess I thought wrong! After holding my prescription for several days after my doctor called it in, the daytime pharmacy manager arbitrarily decided to refuse to refill my prescription because I live 8 miles away from this particular Walgreens location. I thought this was a free country - - shouldn't I be able to select any pharmacy when choosing where to fill my scripts? In addition to the seemingly random nature of this refusal, she also asked me quite a few invasive questions about my personal life prior to informing me that she was canceling the prescription which was already in the bottle and sitting in the pickup area ready to go. It was quite literally the most bizarre experience I have ever had when trying to complete what should've been the normal, mundane, everyday task of picking up a prescription. A prescription for blood pressure medication was ordered yesterday from my doctor's office. I called the Walgreens at Garfiel and Canal multiple times yesterday after waiting several hours after it was ordered and the voice system kept saying it was not ready. I finally gave up then called again this morning and it still was not filled. I called again to talk to a pharmicist and after many prompts and a long hold time, I was told it would be filled sometime later today. This was a very slow turn around time with no communication resulting in an overall lousy experience. I've used this location for both prescriptions and general shopping. The pharmacy offers great service, although it seems so busy most of the time. The store itself always has what I'm looking for and the service is professional. It's not always the fastest experience once you reach the checkout area, but help is always called for if the line backs up. A good way to sum it up is to say it's a bustling location that serves the needs of the community with all it has to offer along with friendly and helpful staff to assist in your visit. read more

The absolute worst! always a problem when it comes to picking up prescription/s. pharmacists are rude and borderline incompeten.

Usually the prescription is either wrong or is not filled when they say it will be. Pharmacists claim ignorance as to what went wrong and one time one of them refused to put the correct label on the bottle he said he switched out. This is the worst pharmacy I have dealt with in almost 35 years of life. Someone else reviewed them saying they don't care if you get your prescription or not. True, but I'm going to take it another step up and say they don't care if you die or not. I had a refill left on a prescription I needed so I transferred it to this Walgreens out of what I thought was convenience, ha! Typically, when I send a prescription to Walgreens, I get a notification within hours, or at least the next day, stating it's ready for pickup. This time, after a couple days I received a notice stating the prescription was out of stock and more was on the way. Okay, that's fine, or so I thought. After a week of hearing nothing, I called and spoke to a pharmacist who told me it was back ordered but not to worry, because it would definitely be in within five days. First of all, why would no one contact me to let me know what's going on? After the date she gave me passed and I still heard nothing, I called back. This time I was informed the Rx was not currently being made and she didn't know when it would start being made again. AGAIN, WHY DID NO ONE CALL TO LET ME KNOW AND GIVE ME SOME OPTIONS?! She said if I wanted, she'd call my physician to have another Rx ordered. I said yes, please do this. The next day, the status STILL was not updated so I called again. Some uninformed male answered stating, "Oh, she must have meant she'd fax over a request, which can take 72 hours. You should call your doctor yourself." WHAT?! Tell me all of this upfront! By this point, it had been two weeks since I put in the request for the Rx, so clearly they do not care if you get your medication or not. I then called my doctor and left a message with the prescription line. The next day, I finally received notification from Walgreens that my prescription was ready. When I go to pick it up, they have minimal staff working and extremely long lines in store and in the drive thru. By the time it got to me, the woman told me my Rx was sent to another store. HOW?! I was so completely dumbfounded at this point. She said it would be 15 minutes to re-do my Rx at that store. When it was finally ready, she actually had the nerve to tell me to make sure I tell them the proper store to send it to next time, as if I'm the idiot and not their entire department. I used to like going to Walgreens for prescriptions, but after this horrendous experience, I will never be using them again. Absolutely inexcusable. They need to be thoroughly investigated by the state. read more

I have been a customer of Walgreens for over 25 years and a former employee. I have been to several Walgreens in that time frame. I have never had trouble at any location except this one. Canal Rd. Clinton Twp. The pharmacist is rude and condescending. She will not take ownership for mistakes made by the pharmacy staff. Has absolutely no empathy for customer's concerns as is not willing to help solve any issues they may have. Try a different Walgreen's or maybe even a different company. read more

I love this Walgreens. I always get in and out quickly and never had any staff issues. They always have what I need and there us a handy Redbox outside too. The beauty area is stocked well and they gave a small lunch kiosk of sorts with small salads and sandwiches if you are on the go and can't stop anywhere else. They are not super, but in a pinch 2 for 5 bucks isn't bad to get full on non- fast food. read more

The pharmacists give you a hard time with narcotics. Obviously they need to be careful but the pharmacist would not fill my prescription even with valid id and copayment. I was told that I needed verification from my doctor since my "fill on or after" date was not the same as the date it was written. Uh, I'm pretty sure that's why they say on or AFTER. Of course we couldn't get phone verification so they required that I got a new prescription all together before they would fill. read more
