OMG. They just so happen to have a stand in pharmacist today.not her store. Her words not mine. She was trying to not let me pick up my medication due to the fact I use CVS as well. She proceeded to tell me I couldn't do that. I said is this a new Florida State Law that I'm unaware of. She said no it just my personal preference. Like she has the right to tell me where I can fill my medication due. I have been using both of them for over a year. Never a problem until today. When this overweight , unattractive, and apparently unhappy person decided she wanted to try and mess with my day which she did. I had a full blown panic attack and took me 30 minutes doing breathing exercises in the parking lot so I could drive. I will never set foot in that place again. Store 1801 Clearwater read more

I was a customer at Walgreens pharmacy for several years up until 2023 my insurance changed and they would not cover any RX at Walgreens so I started using CVS. Well in 2024 I had gotten a new insurance and now they no longer cover RX is at CVS so I went back to Walgreens, I went to fill my prescription the other day at Walgreens and they refused to fill it stating that I used multiple pharmacies. I explained very nicely to the pharmacist that my insurance has changed and I can no longer fill it at CVS so I came back to Walgreens. They still refused to fill my prescription, the pharmacist named Stephen was very rude and did not care about the change in my insurance so they flagged my account. Unbelievable. read more

I've had the same terrible experience, sad to say I don't have many options in different places to go department can't stand either of the 2 female pharmacist they treat you like dirt and don't care. Never had this issue at Walmart but due to my insurance it forces me to have to go to Walgreens, people that treat you like less than human just make me sick to my stomach.... Corona virus pandemic but Walgreens likes spreading the germs. I watched people stand six feet apart in line many face touching then they all are pressured to put there index finger on the dirty keypad. No phone number no "sale price". Some face touched right after touching keypad too !! This is a review for the entire Walgreens corperation. How reckless your policy pressuring customers for a phone number touch that grimy keypad when you know people cant stop face touching habits so easy. I watched people touch faces rub eyes and nose waiting on line then as usual at walgreens pressure to touch the grimy keypad for stupid customer tracking program posing a "rewards" Not rewarding at all being pressured to touch germy keypad. This location has been my pharmacy for the last 15 years. The personnel have been friendly, accurate and reliable. Last minute emergencies don't seem to phase them, too much. With so much competition for your money, on an extremely profitable product like pharmaceuticals, my Walgreens knows me by name and makes it a pleasure for me to pick up my meds. I have also utilized the onsite Take Care clinic. I have stopped by twice, over the years, due to a sinus infection that needed immediate attention. Even though my general practitioner is a short distance away, the only appointments he had were at least a week into the future. I made the appointment with Take Care online and saw the nurse practitioner later the same day. There was no wait time and she was as pleasant as she was knowledgeable. My insurance was pre-approved and the whole experience was effortless. The store is always orderly and clean. This store is a credit to their chain of drug stores. read more

When I went to the register I put my husband phone number for the rewards and the lady told me it wasn't allowed even though it's my husbands then she proceeded to ask for my social security card. I just left this Walgreens and it was another terrible experience. I will write off Walgreens from the rest of my life. Not only do the one on Ulmerton treat me like crap but so did the one on golf to Bay. I came in to have a prescription filled after talking to the pharmacist on duty. He told me that like the other Walgreens they can't for fill the prescription I need it and I would have to go with a generic form of something else. I asked them what they had in stock and what they can give me and he told me.I went back to my doctor for the third time having to pay again only to be told by another pharmacist at this location that they cannot refill my prescription I am fed up with Walgreens this company is absolutely terrible they are so rude to you it is not right I'm here to spend my money not to be treated like a piece of crap. I purposely go to pharmacy in mid to late afternoon. The pharmacist at that time is the best. He is kind not judging. Does not try to play the role of DEA agent. If you do your scripts correctly and don't play games. He is very kind and super at customer service. There is a short blond with curly hair here. Avoid her like the plague. She is grumpy mean and rude. She should be fired. I have caught her lying twice to me about calling my dr. Saying she did when she did not. I knew cause I was on the phone with the dr. I hate liars. Everyone but that lady is great at this store. You really cant go wrong less you are playing around with scripts. read more

We love this Walgreens due to its attached Take Care Clinic. It's a nice, small, walk-in clinic that is perfect for diagnosing small ailments and doing routine things like a back-to-school physical. The nurses are very nice and seem knowledgeable. Unlike in larger doctor offices, the nurses here are patient and will take the time to answer all of my questions. They are also very great with nervous children. Outside of the clinic, the store is pretty much your average Walgreens. They have a nice selection of Florida souvenirs, beach towels, t-shirts, etc, but the prices aren't very great. Some of their after-event clearance sales are worthwhile, and you can occasionally score a great deal if you search carefully through the dregs. They've got a nice selection of make up, hair care, and medicines, although the price tag is hefty. If you watch for clearance, sales, or coupons, though, you can manage to save some money. Mostly, it's nice to grab a couple of things while I am there for the pharmacy/clinic anyways. The pharmacy has always been very quick. They'll usually quote 15 minutes before I can pick up my meds, but in every instance but one, the medicines were ready within 3-5 minutes. read more

This is your typical Walgreens located in Clearwater,Fl. This store has what all your other Walgreens have including a pharmacy plus they also sell beach items because the beach is near by. The place is very convenient if you are heading to the beach and need to stop by to get drinks or anything else or if you are done with the beach and need to come in to pick up items to take to the hotel or home after being done with the beach. It is your normal size store but it does get a bit crowded during the day because it is located so close to the beach. Lines were a bit long and had only one person ringing people up and never called for back up. Over all Walgreens is a bit over priced compared to other stores but we were near by an needed some energy drinks and water so we stopped by for those items, they do have everything you need here so just for that I gave it four stars. I would of giving this business five if the lines were not so long. read more

My dog's vet has put my dog on a medication that needs a nebulizer. I have never left a bad review for any business....but this was so unexpected and so I feel I haD to share... My dog is a senior dog, and needed this medication as soon as possible... We were told for 3 days that the pharmacy had ordered the nebulizer, but we had to gave a prescription for the actual nebulizer...we have never bought one so we believed the person behind the counter...we bought all the medication, and control wait for the machine...after calling the vet multiple times, and our very nice vet called multiple times. After the forth day, of trips to this store...they refused to sell one to us, saying they couldn't order it, and that they never heard from our vet.. Meanwhile my dog suffered.... Come to find out, all I had to do was order one from amazon, NO PRESCRIPTION....for have the price... If they didn't want to order what someone needs, then at least be nice enough to tell a costumer they can purchase it somewhere else... Walgreens loses customers read more
