I did make sure to grab a new cord for car usage on my upgraded phone. I didn't need anything fancy, I was looking for the cheapest option as this was going to be my phone cord and it would remain in there. I did find one, and I could not, for the life of me, remember anything else. If only I had my phone in my hand where I keep my lists... Checking out went smoothly. Self checkout all the way.

Alice is awesome and has a great personality as well as all the others. My apologies for not remembering all of their names...but enjoyed my regular banter with all of them. Love the local feel and treatment as a friend and not just a random acquaintance. People at the register are quick to ask you how your day has been and are nice to talk to. We miss them as well as our life we lived for six years not far from the store. Its a gem and we highly recommend it to others.

Today I went to the Marshall located at 1421 Town Square Blvd, Roanoke, Virginia. Very close to the Golden Corral here. When I entered the store, one of the first things I saw were the carts lined up with a sign on the wall behind them that read: "grab a cart You're gonna need it." Then up front as you entered the store there was a table with blue tablecloth with a sign: "We're Hiring." and under this: "The best jobs never go out of style." And there was a Marshall's employee near it to answer any question you might have and encourage you to apply. From there I walked the different departments such as shoes, laugage, and went to view some items that would make great gifts at reasonable prices. I saw some neat mugs and some popular Japanese soup bowls. I encourage the readers of my review to view my photographs that accompany this review to get a sense of the many items you can find here. I noticed that many of the items were not that well organized nor neatly arranged. But maybe that is why they're hiring. Sometimes you can find more desirable merchandise more than orders. For example during the Holiday Season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of the things I enjoy purchasing there are the picture frames. They always have a nice variety at reasonable prices that you can take home to use for yourself or give as a gift. In conclusion, I find Marshall's as a neat store to go shopping to. Many people just go to window shop there and find themselves leaving with a large bag of things.

What really impressed me, though, was how quickly and professionally the team resolved it. They took my concerns seriously, addressed the misunderstanding right away, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled properly and respectfully. It's clear they care about both their patients and doing things the right way. They have an amazing assortment of unique spices, from cardamom to lapsi powder; rices, lentils, flours; ghee (clarified butter); snacks and sweets; frozen samosas and roti; fresh fruits and vegetables; and even momo steamers. Many items are imported from Nepal. The worker in the store was very friendly, and ensured that we found everything that we were looking for. Parking is easy and free. This makes it less excusable that the store just didn't seem to be fully stocked. The produce section was a small corner of the store. Prepared foods was a much bigger entrant, as was the freezer section. The lack of fresh items seems contrary to the health food vibe. On the upside, you'll struggle to find a place that has more niche brands with vegan, gluten-free, and other specialty items. The local focus is also appreciated. On the downside, I was surprised how expensive it was, and that's with shopping the sale items and the $1 credit I apparently picked up by shopping at the Roanoke Earth Fare. Frankly, that one is better.
