This particular location is usually VERY busy, and sometimes the line moves slowly, but don't we all appreciate the time spent with us when it's our turn? I've had excellent luck with vaccinations, getting refills, and yes, getting call backs.

Don't know if it's because it's Bangor Maine and they can only find uneducated, unprofessional staff or if it's just one rude counter service person. Either way I wouldn't trust them or the pharmacist to give you accurate information on any prescription or provide any help. The behavior of the counter staff is a reflection upon the professionalism of the pharmacist and their knowledge as a doctor a pharmaceutical.

I stopped by this Walgreens today around 1:30 p.m. and asked the blonde assistant manager (or…read moremanager) about a product that's been out of stock for about a month and a half. When I tried to get some help, she seemed annoyed and then ignored me, even though she went on to help other customers. I usually appreciate when employees take time to assist customers, but this experience felt dismissive and disappointing. Hopefully, management can work on improving how customers are treated when they ask for help.

18 min on hold to speak to a pharmacy staff member and the auto message robot states that "there is…read moreone caller ahead of you" every 45 seconds or so, which is very annoying, and the one caller is probably on hold for 18 minutes or more just like I am. Finally hung up after I do every time when I call. The only way to talk to someone is to drive down there in person. Very ridiculous! Bangor has the worst Walgreens I've ever seen in my life. I have not been hung up at the Union Street location but after holding for 15 or 20 minutes at the Broadway location the staff just picks up the phone and hangs it right back up without saying hello. Happened at least five times in the past. It's awful.

Get home a notice on the receipt a $1.50 charge for 30 (thirty!!) bags at .05 cents each. You don't key in 30 bags @.05 cents each by mistake. Nice little UP charge of $1.50 each for a prescription.

It cost $165 and when I asked the pharmacist if it was OK for the pump, he said yes. When I contacted my endocrinologist, her initial response was no, no, no,! As this is a long acting insulin and does not work in a pump & she rarely uses it. I was out $165 without having my problem resolved. Be very wary of this pharmacy. Fortunately, my endocrinologist was able to call in a prescription to CVS. On my way to get it picked up. At least I will have the right prescription and hopefully not having to pay another hundred plus dollars to get it filled. As a follow up to my post I went the next day and the pharmacist saw the mistake in the insulin. I could not have been more pleased of his understanding & his rectifying of the situation. It reaffirmed my belief in humanity. We are all allowed to make mistakes. The Important things is to be able to acknowledge & rectify the mistake. Maybe I was too hasty in posting my initial response.

For the most part the pharmacy and staff are great! Only downfall I have is I'll call to check on…read moremy prescription and will be told it's ready to be picked up, get there and I get told it's not quite ready. I end up having to wait 20 minutes to a half hour for it to be filled AFTER being told it was ready. It does get quite frustrating honestly especially when I am in a hurry and have things to do. I go in thinking and being told it's ready, just to have to hurry up and wait! Besides that they are great, very busy but great.
