I went to pick up several prescriptions for several family members. When I looked through the medicines, I found one that shouldn't have been filled yet; and it was only for 30 days rather than 90 days. I called to resolve. I made the mistake of saying the meds keep getting f***ed up. The ire was not directed at anyone. He hung up on me. Ironically, I actually thought it may have been another computer error or glitch. That was what I kept being told every time it happened. I was thrown off checking on this one because I still had 1.5 month supply. The med shouldn't even have been on the agenda. I call again, and when I finally am passed on to the pharmacist, his immediate comment was if I was ready to be civil. There are a lot of nuances to being civil. Patronizing and talking over someone are very uncivil acts, which is exactly what the pharmacist gave me. He finally told me I could get a refund for the medication. When I asked him how that affected the prescription, I did not receive clarity and was still confused on that point. I go to the store to return the medication. After having the medication refunded, they gifted the 30 day supply due to legalities. Now, I don't really care about the "free" 30 day. I care about the 90 day prescription and the refills. This is important to me because our family insurance requires us to pay the deductible before they cover things, which is $20,000. We have so much cost in medical, it is actually a lot cheaper but does require budgeting. If the prescription was invalidated or shortened the number of refills or changed the amount from 90 days to 30 days (which they have already done previously), I have to schedule another appointment with the specialist which is a couple hundred dollars that is not budgeted. When, yet again, I ask about the prescription ramifications, I'm told that the refund was done, and here are your free pills because we can't take them back. My question again shut down and no answer. At this point I'm done with this pharmacy. I call another pharmacy and start the process of transferring all our family prescriptions. Four days later, I go to the new pharmacy to check that everything is in order. I find that of the 6 accounts with multiple prescriptions requested to transfer, only one prescription was transferred from one account. When the new pharmacist calls the previous pharmacist line for clarification and cooperative resolution, the technician states the pharmacist is unavailable, something about transferring everything and then hanging up without dialog. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. The chronic mishandling of prescriptions was very painful. The dismissive and escalating nature of the pharmacist was beyond the measure of civility I could tolerate. read more

Walgreens advertises on its website that they do passport photos and customers will receive two physical copy of passport photos and one digital copy sent to email. The total price before tax is 16.99. To get only two physical copy at USPS, it's only $15. So I decided to go to Walgreens instead of USPS because of the digital copy. However, based on my personal experience, walgreens do not provide a cut 2 x 2 passport size digital copy. Instead, they provide you the Original uncut photo and you have to cut it to 2 by 2 in an app by yourself. I talked to the staff at the store, they said the system automatically emails the digital version and they have no control over which picture (cut vs. uncut) is sent to Customer's email. They also said it happened to other customers as well. The issue was eventually resolved, but it wasted me 30 minutes to go to the store for the second time to get the cut digital version. The email for the digital version was not sent to me until a couple of minutes later after I pay. If you want to make sure you get the correct cut 2 x 2 passport digital version via email, it's better to wait for the email before you leave so that you don't have to make an extra trip. Below is what says on Walgreens website: Will I receive a digital copy of my passport photo? Yes, in addition to the two 2x2 photo passport prints, you will be given the option to receive a digital copy via email of your passport photo at no extra charge. A digital photo copy on a USB drive is also offered for an additional fee. read more

Everything. You can improve on everything. Phone etiquette, customer wait times for prescriptions being filled, organization of the system used to fill prescriptions (I shouldn't have to go back three times to get my prescriptions in three separate days just to be told that it's delayed because you're swamped) when the system tells me my prescription is ready it should be ready. And this closing "for emergency" business and leaving everyone hanging with only one other pharmacy open clear across in a different County is for the birds. For someone that has medical transportation that has to make an appointment to come get pharmaceuticals, this is absolutely a disaster. Do better. Oh yeah and to anyone reading this as a review to decide whether to go there or not? When you do, count all your pills when you get them home. read more

Went to pickup a prescription today. They had a sign on the front door that the Pharmacy Was Closed today!!! I asked the Employees why. They told me that No one showed up to open the Pharmacy!!! This is Why I will no longer go to this location ever again!!! read more

Staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. I called in while having an asthma attack. The pharmacist kept saying she couldn't hear me and couldn't understand me. She asked me to speak louder. So I spoke louder and enunciated carefully. The pharmacist immediately started yelling at me saying that I was talking too loud and with a rude tone like she was an idiot. I tried to apologize and explain that I was just talking louder and enunciating because she said she couldn't hear me or understand me and that I was not trying to be rude. The pharmacist continued to yell over me and say that she would not help me or reach out to my doctor about my asthma medication because she felt I was being rude. She then hung up on me. Because I was trying to communicate while having an asthma attack the pharmacist has decided I am not worthy of asthma medication. read more

To avoid an unnecessary state mandated 90 day waiting period after having had Covid 19, we booked our immunization jabs at Walgreens which, as a partner with the CDC, allowed vaccinations after only a 15 day wait. Our first vaccination was efficient and quick, although the Pfizer vaccine made me pretty sick for a couple of days. Now we're back for the 2nd jab and are anxious to get this over with. Walgreens was a good choice for this procedure. read more

Took over an hour to fill one prescription. Waited in line for 15 minutes. They were having trouble with my insurance, that seemed to take them forever to sort out. It took two employees to figure out how to change insurance on a computer, once they figured that out, they asked me to wait for 10 more minutes (I don't know why), then they proceeded to help 6 other customers and they forgot I was waiting so I had to get in line my self, so that wait extended to 40 minutes. Delay, delay, delay. Checked to make sure spouse called prescription in ahead of time- "yes, over an hour ago". No record but told could wait. Feel bad for the younger lady with short red hair and glasses; She seemed to be only one of three actually working. She must be new and the other two in the back are up the pecking order. They could have cared less that we stood at the counter for 5 minutes before someone from out in the store came to help. I did find their signage for the 4th of July informative. It said that they're closed that day but you could drive to 78th south in Utah that day. Very telling of their commitment to their customers. Not. We don't live in Utah but if we did, we would NEVER come back here again. read more

I am not a fan of the pharmacy here, as the service is slow and there is no personal touch, unlike my preferred pharmacy at Dicks. That said, I love the seasonal aisle at Walgreens and the random cheap kids toys that entertain my daughter without breaking the bank. I also love the vast over the counter medicinal options and the kids medicine section is the best in Bountiful. But alas, I must also comment on the customer service, which is non-existent. All things considered, not my first stop but sometimes a necessity and sometimes just a fun "what do they have this month" stop. read more

Came here for my son's prescriptions following wisdom tooth removal because I thought they'd be faster than the pharmacy at my local grocery store. He was in pain and I was in a hurry. When I dropped them off the lady at the window told me they were a little backed up and I explained my situation... She said she'd try to get them ready in 30-45 minutes. More than an hour later I came through the drive in again because I hadn't received a text. I was told it would be another 30 minutes. Of course I explained my situation and that my son is home in pain. They said they'd do their best. It's been an hour and 15 minutes at this point and I'm still waiting. When in doubt- stick with your local Smiths Pharmacy. It's the middle of the day on a Tuesday so I'm not sure what the issue is but I won't ever be using this Walgreens again. read more

The pharmacists at this pharmacy are all very helpful and knowledgeable. Sure, there is a wait sometimes; but I ways feel like I get good customer service. The location is convenient. I feel like their prices are on par with other pharmacies in the area. This is my favorite pharmacy to patronize. I have been going here to get my flu shot & other inoculations for a few years now. The pharmacists are so skilled at administering them, I never feel a thing, & that's saying a lot! Coming from someone that hates needles. The photo department is fantastic. I went to get a prescription filled for my wife today after surgery. The pharmacist told me they had to wait for a time release safe to open to be able to fill the prescription. They told me it could take anywhere from 1-3 hours and didn't know what it would be. This is a pain prescription, I don't know how easy it would be for my wife to wait an additional three hours to take it. To make matters worse it is a 20 minute drive for me to get to this store, so even if they called when it was ready I'd be looking at another 40 minutes before I'd have it home to her. read more

I can tell you now, this was not true. AWFUL! Just terrible. They told me 20-30 minutes to fill a prescription, then they made me wait an hour and a half. Not a big deal, except that I had my wife who had just been discharged from the emergency room waiting in the vehicle the entire time. She was in a lot of pain. They were told to only fill the pain medicine and not the prescription for ibuprofen 600 as I had plenty at home. After making me wait and hour and a half they informed me that they refused to fill only one of the prescriptions and that they would refuse us the pain medicine. I had to leave and go somewhere else. Staff was callous and coarse. They had NO sense of urgency and treated most of the people there with extreme indifference. I will NEVER return! read more

My doctors office called in my prescription (Zofran) several times and they lost the order and the other times when attempting to pick it up it wasn't ready. Every time I go to this location the pharmacy is extremely slow, they made me wait over 6 hours to fill a prescription they originally told me would take an hour to fill. The pharmacists are extremely rude and unprofessional. I think this Walgreens should either train their staff better or just close down altogether. read more

the walgreens pharmacy on 5th south in bountiful utah is the worst. i have been there three times with the same crappy service. does it take two hours of waiting to get a drug. come on people .your service sucks. after 1 1/2 hours i asked them to transfer the script to dicks pharmacy on orchard drive by the time i got to dicks , dicks was still on hold with walgreens for ten minutes . when dicks finally got the script i was out with the drugs in five minutes. 2 1/2 hours after the med first doc called the script in i was home with the drugs..but the baby was asleep for the night, well at least for four hours til the pain wears off. i think walgreens does not want to use the insurance i have, and waits for me to say how much is it if i just pay and don't use my insurance that i pay for . then they can charge me more and i can get out in a hour instead two. if it's midnight on a sunday maybe then i would go to walgreens ,no i would go somewhere else on monday anywhere would be better then walgreens. read more

I am completely shocked at the professionalism of your pharmacist. I got an email regarding my insurance not covering my prescriptions. So, I called the 5th south pharmacy hoping they could help me to figure it all out. The locations pharmacist answered the phone with irritation, he was not helpful during the phone call. So, we decided to end the call and figure out the problems tomorrow. He then called me right back, asked if "I had something to say to him", then proceeded to threaten me saying I could come down to the pharmacy "and we could straighten this all out" proceeding to tell me that "I was a loser that needed to get out of my mothers basement." he then asked me if "I would like him to fill my prescriptions or not." I chose to have them pulled from your pharmacy. After all that I told him that he was acting unprofessional his retort was "you're the one that's acting unprofessional". He told me his name was "Timothy" (wouldn't give me his last name). After the phone call I went to your website to see if he gave me his right name, But, I can't find a pharmacist by the name of "Timothy" at the location. read more
