You know when you goto a pharmacy to fill a prescription how you get 'the look' from the tech or pharmacist because the medication is a 'narcotic' class? Imagine my shock after getting two teeth pulled having to argue over a handful of pills
with a temporary pharmacists at Walgreens in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on N HWY 75.
I have 2 protruding vertebrae, a straight neck that pinches my nerves on my shoulder, Severe Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis and to top it off Fibromyalgia and my irregular heartbeat needs beta blockers (which I've had pinching from since a teen not one doctor had found until this past year... and Dr.Tinker DID! Thank heavens!)I have a daughter that is 4 next month. Gotta b strong to keep up with them.Seen Drs. for these issues since I was 14 (embarrassing as a child) but am used to it now, MRI's, poking and prodding.
Then When I went to the DENTIST (Dr. Vivian at My Dentist in Bartlesville) I got two molers yanked (Apparently soonercare doesnt pay for you to fix them when you could just go toothless.) Talk about pain, I never had pain like this before with a tooth pull. Its crazy how sick I actually am!
So I go drop off the prescriptions then go pick up my daughter a few hours later (because I had just picked up my back pain meds and thought it could wait until later... and why rush them, they had always been nice to me.)
I picked up my daughter, and our thing is to go buy dippin dots at that walgreens (a place I have been loyal too and talked up for YEARS and YEARS - not the location - the franchise.) We picked out our flavors (since I was hurting too I also got some) and went to the back to get the RX. I was told that the pain pills had been cancelled BY MY DENTIST (which later I found out was NOT the story) when he found out I just received my pills the day before.NOTHING to do with the extra ones I would need in the next couple days for the pain in my jaw. My daughter and I went back up to 'My Dentist' to be met by befuddled faces of the girls working there. Not
understanding what had happened. And oh I explained. They said it was a total accident (as when I arrived, not only did I give them a copy of what i take daily (for safety sake) but also spoke to the dentist and his assistant about a few of my issues that caused my need of other meds. He even asked would I need a few more or not as a responsible doctor would.
When I finished up there, finding out I was flat out LIED too by them (they said he HIMSELF cancelled the order when he found out I had just picked up another script the day before for my 'other issues.') Which made NO sense seeing as how he not only knew about my issues, but had asked me about the pills before I got my prescriptions written!So,back to WalGreens in a huffle,mad, and was met by a TEMP pharmacist named GERRI snooting down her nose at me saying she could fill the script it would be her license. She mentioned later she could... by this point we were arguing over her idiocy. I had mentioned unless they have seen my MRI or WRITES the script they had no right to judge me. (she judged me like a poor junky. In which case she should not be in this field. She had no compassion.)
Then I said, thats fine, could she do it in 10 days, 20? 30? and she retorted very rudely, "No I wont be filling this for you."= POWER TRIP.
I still havent heard anything.She treated me badly just because i was dressed casually.If I had on a powersuit, a mercedes and my pointy work shoes, my hair in a chignon and some diamond earrings, I imagine she would have been a kiss ass... but because I was sick and in a t-shirt, Her face=snears. I thought of sick people beside me, coming here and dealing with THIS SNOOTY FACE! I hope no one needing real help ever gets her!
