By far the best Walgreens I've been to, but it could have been worse. I needed to grab a few things that I had forgotten to bring on my trip to Atlanta and I found this Walgreens just a couple blocks away, so I decided to make the short walk over from my hotel to grab them. It's located right on the corner of North and Piedmont avenues, next to a grocery store and some apartment buildings. There's a parking lot out front and security at the door. I went straight to the makeup section and then grabbed some snacks. It's definitely an outdated Walgreens, but it did the trick. I wish I could give 0 stars. The customer service at this Walgreens is deplorable. To come in and shop is one thing. To order through the app (which is equally deplorable) is a whole 'nother level of disappointment. I ordered 5 things for pick up through the app. 1) The order got delayed. Ok, no problem. 2) I go through the online prompts, which said that I could pick up my order through the drive through--great! I get to the drive thru and wait a few minutes, because I can see that the employee was helping other customers. After about 5 minutes, I press the call button and tell him I'm here for a pickup order. He dissapears and comes back, saying he doesn't have it. I repeated that it was a store pickup order, and he says "oh, I'll be right back, it's probably by the photo section." There's a huge mirror on the window and I could see that he was in the back of the area (where he thought I couldn't see him) filling prescriptions. I pressed the call button numerous times and no one answered, so I drove to the front and went inside, frustrated. I waited another 5 minutes at the photo area to retrieve my order. The employee (a different one) said that she was wondering where I was--even though I selected that I was going through the drive thru online. She brought me my order and I got in the car, but something told me to check before I left...keep reading, it gets better! I open the sealed, brown paper bag, and it's someone else's order. None of the things I brought were in there. I walked back to the store, steaming at this point, and told the employee that this was not mine. She blames it on someone else and then says she'll be back. What I didn't realize was that she was going around the store, shopping for my stuff. I would've cancelled my order had I known she was doing that (because they were "out of stock" for a few things anyway). She came back, put my items in the same crumpled up back, and said here you go. I know this was long, but this was a terrible, awful, ridiculous experience from top to bottom. You ever interact with someone on their work shift and you can tell they get off on ruining someone' else's day? That's what the pharmacy Manager here lives and breathes every time I've had to interact with her. I've been going to other Walgreens for over 15 years and never had an issue. The sad part is her attitude seems to trickle down to the rest of the pharmacy staff causing mostly everyone there to be short, snappy, and careless. And Walgreens... if you're reading this, please fire that pharmacy manager. She might seem all good on the surface, but it's definitely not okay how I've seen her treat other customers and my awful experience with her on multiple separate occasions. Went to get a prescription here. Had a coupon. Kennadie (or some such spelling) was a NIGHTMARE. She took every question as a personal affront. She refused to take the time to double check the entry of my manufacturer's coupon and lacks effective communication skills phrasing questions as statements and then not getting why she doesn't get a response. Both my fiancee and I used this Walgreens to print headshot photos of us - a career-related application for her and a passport renewal for me. Walgreens will take headshots/passport photos for a fee, but we decided to take the pictures on our own and just use Walgreens' printing services. We saved a lot of money doing it this way. I followed the photo criteria on my passport renewal application and used the website www.idphoto4you.com to generate a JPEG file suitable for printing (to get my passport photo in the correct 2-inches-by-2-inches dimensions). I downloaded and installed the Walgreens app on my phone and followed the easy step-by-step prompts to print my photo. The total cost to me, after tax, was 36 cents. The photo cost 33 cents and tax was 3 cents (8.9%). What a deal. I paid using Android Pay. The photo contained 4 identical/repeated headshots. I asked the photo employee if he could cut my photos and he kindly obliged. I'm not sure if he was really supposed to help me do that since I didn't technically purchase a passport photo, so I really appreciated it. It was very nice of him. Walgreens has a special 2x2 cutting tool which makes it easy for the staff to cut passport photos. I submitted my order via the Walgreens app at 12:47 PM on a Saturday and it was ready for pickup at 1:04 PM. Fast. My pickup would've been faster if they hadn't accidentally misplaced my order in the "D" bin instead of the "B" bin where it belonged. read more

Unacceptable Racial Profiling Incident at Walgreens #06032 On July 20, 2023, around 9:29 pm, I had an appalling experience at Walgreens #06032, located at 595 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30308. As a frequent shopper of this store due to its proximity to my home, I visited to purchase some soap and personal items after leaving the gym. Just a quick visit. Upon entering the store, I was confronted by a male officer approximately in his late 50s. From the start, it was evident that he appeared to be under the influence of a substance. Despite the flow of other Walgreens customers entering the location, I was singled out and asked to leave my gym bag on the floor while I shopped, a request that I had never experienced previously under exact circumstances. Neither was it a policy I had ever been asked to observe by a staff member or the officer before. Feeling uneasy about the situation, I informed the officer I did not feel comfortable following his request given I had no knowledge of such a policy or had ever been asked that before. The officer asked a second time. I again said, no, and then proceeded to browse the store, only to find the officer following closely behind me. When I confronted him, he remained silent, and it became clear that I was being racially profiled. This was incredibly distressing and embarrassing, and I immediately requested to speak with a manager. I was then directed to a store manager in another area of the location. That manager, Tyrone, seemed dismissive of my concerns and even suggested escorting me to the aisles where I intended to pick up the items. Feeling insulted and humiliated, I declined the offer, asserting my right to shop without assistance. Despite my extreme discomfort, I managed to complete my purchase, using my Walgreens frequent shopper number. After I completed my purchase, I then proceeded to walk back over to the photo department where Tyrone was located, to request to speak to a different manager. He then referred me to his manager Tarnika to discuss my experience with the guard. After I was connected with Tarnika and expressed my concern, she was visibly disappointed in the situation. She explained she was aware of this type of situation happening previously with this particular officer several times before with other patrons. After the conversation I wanted to make sure I had all the information I needed before leaving the location. I then asked the manager Tarnika if she could spell her name and also provide the officer's name and she informed me that she was not provided the officer's name, which left me no choice but to inquire with him directly. She assured me that she would report the incident to her supervisor and address the matter internally. Before leaving the store I proceeded to ask the officer for his badge number and name for my records and he refused to give it to me and explained he couldn't talk to me any further. Leaving the store I had chills all over. I was out of breath and shaking. I was not only embarrassed in a store that I visit almost every week for essential needs but it was clear that the expectation was that I would not take any action. I refuse to allow this discriminatory profiling incident to go unnoticed. I am committed to raising awareness about this issue and ensuring that it is resolved appropriately. As a result, I will be sharing my experience on all my social media platforms, which have a combined following of nearly 13k on Instagram and 6.5k subscribers on Facebook. Additionally, I will be reaching out to the Atlanta Police Department, with whom I believe the security guard is employed, and Walgreens through phone calls, social media, and corporate communication to demand a thorough investigation into this matter. The employee whose name tag that reads Princess (though displayed upside down) needs retraining for both her ability to use the checkout computer along with her customer service. This morning, I tried to pay for my order (totaling $43.71) and each time I use the card machine, Princess tells me that the machine keeps reading something like "transaction not authorized". She then proceeds to tell me that's because my credit company is not authorizing the transaction. I try this with my debit card, then the credit card portion of my debit card, then two other credit cards that I know have the funds. I tell her there's something wrong with her machine as I know I have funds on my cards. She tells me to move to the side while she helps other customers so the manager can ring me up on another register. While waiting for the manager (that never shows up), Princess process to help the next customer who HAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH HER CARD TRANSACTIONS at least twice. I let this customer there couldn't be anything wrong with her cards as the same thing happened to me and that there's something wrong with the machine. I tell Princess again that there's clearly something wrong with her machine and to get a manager. Princess then tells me "Sir, this is a different customer and mind your business." Frustrated with her incompetence and lack of any sign of management, I leave and go out to my car. While in my car, I check my back account (where there was clearly plenty of funds for this transaction) and find there is a charge for $43.71 that reads POS DEBIT WALGREENS STORE 595 PIE ATLANTA GA - pending. And then a credit for that same charge. As stated above, Princess needs retraining for both her ability to use the checkout computer along with her customer service. She's incompetent and has an attitude - not the type of service I would expect from Walgreens after 7.5 years coming to this location. read more

I came in to make a deposit to my capitalOne checking 10:45pm-11pm at the ATM... the ATM was down so I opted for the barcode deposit... I waited in for 5min and was told by the cashier that they stop accepting deposits at this location at 9pm because of fraudulent activity... I told him that I had all Necessary credentials to ensure the transaction was legit. He told me the manager could only accept the transaction... the manager came and told me that her system will not allow the transaction and that it is a Atlanta city wide regulation that no CVS or Walgreens will accept cash deposits from capital one or any bank that offers the service... This is a 24/7 Walgreens. The staff working overnight were extremely helpful. They walked me to the items that I needed. The store has a security guard that sits at the entrance. The store is clean and organized. Other reviews say that this is in a bad area but I don't agree. While it is known as an area where homeless people are, I do not feel unsafe at all. The only thing that is annoying here is that if you don't have a Walgreens loyalty card, it is hard to get past entering your loyalty card on the payment screens. read more

Sometimes medications do take a few hours, but it is a busy pharmacy, so I try to be understanding. I've really not had trouble, mostly grab what I need, pay and leave. Now, it looks like I'm joining the one star club. I went here for my monthly medication pick up. Apparently, there's been some changes as to whom they want shopping in this store, which it has been made fairly clear my business is no longer welcome here. Of course, there are no signs outlining this, and it is selectively enforced. I carry a backpack while out doing my errands on foot and cycling. Upon entering, I was stopped by security at the front and this was said to me: " Hey you! You can't be in here like that!" Huh? Like what? Totally bewildered, I explained I needed to get my prescriptions, which are time sensitive. Again, I was told by security I couldn't be in here. I am a short woman. How am I a problem? He told me to take off my backpack, which had some important things in it. There were people in the store with tote bags and large purses. The guard was rude and acted like he was doing me a "favor" and said he would "watch my bag", not quite...If it wasn't prescriptions I really needed, I would have just left and went elsewhere. I had to take a risk I should not have to. I was forced to leave my stuff in a high traffic area where it could have been easily stolen. I even mentioned this to the pharmacist, a nice lady, and her jaw dropped. Of course upon leaving this store, what do I see? My bag not watched and a customer standing too close to it! I managed to grab it and fortunately nothing was taken, but this is going to be a huge liability for the company if someone's stuff does get stolen. If this is how this store treats paying customers, soon they won't have any! I'll be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere, where I'm not treated like a criminal! TRANSFER YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS Y'ALL! Still loving the 24 hour pharmacy. Not loving their lack of supply. They must do a shit ton of business here because they were actually sold out of generic Ambien for several days. I tried to transfer my prescription to CVS so it could be filled (and I could go to sleep) and they gave me all kinds of grief. They told CVS it had already been transferred to another Walgreens and couldn't be transferred again. Lies. Their online refill system lies too. On day 2 I got an email saying my prescription was ready. Nope. Then it was missing in the system. Other times one medication will be ready, but not another one that was submitted at the same time. It's really annoying. The pharmacy staff here is really friendly and the pharmacists are remarkably nice. Again, this is a high volume store and I can only imagine the stuff they have to put up with on a daily basis. I just wish their electronic ordering systems worked better. read more

Just your standard walgreens. We came here to pick up a prescription, and while we were here we decided to explore the store. We visited on a random weekday after 9pm, and while the pharmacy closes at midnight, (opens at 8am), it was pretty dead when we showed, vs the typical pharmacy lines you'd see at 5pm or so. Rounding out the medicine included a couple of beverages purchased, two for $4, and a couple of clearance items were also purchased, about 50 cents each (clearance can be found on the rear shelf of the last aisle closest to your left...if you're facing the store from the entrance) Parking is shared with a publix so parking isn't too much of a problem. There is (or was at the time) a security guard in this walgreens, who often came out to the parking lot. On the one hand, it's good to have a guard there, but on the other, he's probably there for a reason, so just pay attention to your surroundings is all i'm saying. Best walgreens in town? Nah, there are much larger and nicer locations around...but if you live close or frequent walgreens and are in the area, it's not a bad place to visit read more

I don't understand why anyone would continue doing business with this pharmacy. I've currently been waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes, for a prescription I dropped off yesterday. This is my third and last time to visit this store, despite literally living adjacent to the store. Each prior visit has been plagued with errors ranging from my prescription being placed on a different patients profile (first visit), incorrect medication filled (second visit), and then this incomprehensible fiasco. Hopefully others with issues with the big chain pharmacies that have issues switch as well, before they're the only option left. The staff in the front are fantastic (one of the gentlemen cashiers is especially outgoing/friendly, but I can not recall the name, as well as a more seasoned [i.e. older] lady who sometimes works the register up front.) I will continue to shop the front, but will take my prescription business elsewhere, due to lack of confidence that I can have a prescription filled correctly. I also want to point out that I am certain the errors occur due to the Pharmacy being severely understaffed, but regardless, I do not have the time to continue returning several times for Rx's. Two staff on duty the second time I filled there was obviously inadequate, as their were people waiting in the to pickup at drive through, inside the store, and the phone ringing off the hook. read more

Staff friendly and helpful. Sometimes pharmacy does not have enough people working but they honestly try to help everyone quickly. Here, I've always been treated with respect where my previous Pharm made me feel like heroine addict to fill a basic anti nausea med. Check out clerks are as courteous as they come. Sale items are hit or miss just as you would expect in convenience store. Rewards system could use some help. Negatives- bathroom is scary. Locked requiring staff to let you in. It's disgustingly dirty. Ironic for a health store with cleaning products for sale. Other issue is there are plenty of homeless in the parking lot. If you are here, it's because you likely do not have an immediate choice, because this store is sketchy. Not the store, which has everything you would need and very little immediate competition, the parking lot. You can guarantee someone will ask you for money and they will look like they need it desperately. That can be jarring. Situated in the Publix Shopping Center on Ponce is a drugstore with a parking lot. The others, CVS on Highland and the CVS on Peachtree don't have that. So this one already has a number of features, combined with the drive-through pharmacy that make this special. The aisles are well stocked. It has the random stuff you'd need. So what's the problem? Down the street is a large homeless shelter and the craziest of the craziest come to this Walgreens. Don't ask why. But you will feel a little unsafe at night. Like you may not want to get out of your car and it is certainly not safe enough to leave anyone in it. But if it is during the day and you need something quick, no problem. I used to live up the street from this Walgreen's so this was my main pharmacy. There were always beggars around during the evening hours. I've now moved and because I need to avoid downtown Atlanta traffic, I go in the late mornings. It seems during the late morning hours, there haven't been any beggars or bums. That said, the senior citizen lady that works the cashier is very nice and customer friendly. You always get a greeting from her. I've heard other staff greet customers but she's there the most. The staff in general are friendly. One thing they need to work on is having more lines open. I've been in long lines when the senior citizen lady is the only one working a cashier. After what seems like eons, the manager will finally open up another register. This is something they've got to work on. Now to the pharmacy. I love this pharmacy because they fill my prescriptions in a timely manner however, once again, long lines are an issue. There needs to be at least two people serving customers and not just one. We're here at least once a day, so seven times a week, 52 weeks a year. It's kind of ridiculous but the hubby is a Diet Mtn. Dew addict and I'm pretty sure he pays a portion of their rent at this point. Each trip to this store is different which kind of makes it not so bad to come here so often. The clientele varies and usually makes for great people watching. The most recent adventure involved two transvestites arguing at the checkout about whether or not transvestite #1 had enough money so transvestite #2 could get a pack of cigarettes. The outcome was, that transvestite #1 was only going to have $5 left after her purchase therefore, there was not going to be enough left over for transvestites #2 to get cigarettes. Seriously. How awesome is that? Most of the cashiers are efficient. Our favorite is Ms. Shirley. She is hysterical and is always very friendly. I can go into this store and ask any employee where something is and they actually know. You don't get that everywhere. My only complaint is that sometimes the only line in which cigarettes can be purchased so the clerk has to leave the alternate counter and walk around to the other register to get cigarettes which takes up time and holds up the line. As for prescriptions, I use their online refill system. I have not had an issue with this system but it looks like others may have at some point. I currently use the Walgreens app on my phone to refill my prescriptions and I love it. Scan it and it's done. Sometimes there are street people hanging around outside but for the most part I haven't had any serious issues with them and I've been coming here for almost four years. read more

This pharmacy is absolutely HORRIBLE! I only go there because it's the closest to where I live, but it's totally worth it to just keep going down North Ave to use Kroger's pharmacy instead. And after today, I'm not coming back. They take FOREVER. I waited over an hour today getting a prescription that came from the healthcare clinic that is inside THE SAME BUILDING, LIKE 10 FEET FROM THE PHARMACY. I was told that they didn't have my prescription info, and that the nurse lady in the clinic must've forgot to send it over. The girl at the counter told me to go back and knock on the door. I didn't want to do that because there was another patient being seen and I didn't want to invade someone's privacy. After about 10 mins, the girl at the counter said she got it, and that she'll have it ready for me in "about 20 mins". About 45 mins later I was getting pissed, so I walked back to the counter to see what the deal was. She told me to wait another 10 mins. Ridiculous. And there was only like 1 other person waiting for a prescription. The last time I was here (about a year ago) I waited for 2 hours. I hate this place. Don't use the pharmacy...EVER. read more

This Walgreens is so love hate, but at the end of the day you have to love it because it's 24 hours. It's located in a plaza at the corner of North Ave and Piedmont Rd., in the parking lot with the Publix and Chase Bank. There's almost always bums and scalawags hanging around begging for something, and just suspect characters in general in the vicinity... so always be cautious and observant of your surroundings. Sometimes the lines are long sometimes short it just depends on the day and hour, but this place does very often get very crowded just because of it's location. Generally speaking they have most things in stock. The pharmacy on the other hand has LOOOOONG lines, very long lines, and they're also sort of expensive. SUMMARY: This may not be the most elegant Walgreens in the world, but it's open 'round the clock and has saved me on many occasions when I needed something-- be it for school or for my health or even before catching a flight. I used to go here until I noticed a pattern: every time I go to this Walgreen's, some sort of shenanigan occurs in the checkout line. Whether it's a homeless man yelling about his change or demanding a taxi, or the credit card machine doesn't work, SOMETHING happens that turns a 5 minute trip to 20 minutes. Also, the pharmacy here has the sweetest pharm tech, but the meanest pharmacist, and they hardly ever have my prx ready when they say they would. I'm really not one to gripe, but this place drives me crazy. I have vowed to never go here again and drive the extra few miles to Rite-Aid or Publix on Ponce for my drug store needs. read more

I have had numerous negative customer service experiences at this particular Walgreens, including but not limited to the following: 1. Long wait times while trying to have prescriptions filled; 2. Negative attitudes and condescending rudeness by multiple pharmacists - including the pharmacy manager, Jaime, and Lindsey, one of her junior pharmacists; 3. Being hung up on while attempting to speak to a pharmacy representative by phone; 4. Receiving the incorrect medicine and having to return to the pharmacy to have the mistake corrected; 5. Pharmacists almost screaming my private medical information to each other so that others nearby could hear, a blatant violation of H.I.P.A.A. There are numerous other pharmacies nearby, and I would urge anyone who values their privacy and decent customer service to steer clear of this establishment. read more
