Details: (1) I went there for a severe toothache and they recommended a root canal but said the best they could do was in a month. (2) they lied about their schedule being packed, when in fact the reason I had to wait a month, in pain, was that Dr. Nazeri was about to go on vacation, which I only found out later; So she was willing to leave me in pain so she could get my business despite her vacation. That is a blatant violation of medical ethics. They should have referred me to another provider or expanded their hours to get me in quickly. (3) they lied to get me to have the specialized pre-root-canal x-ray (CBCT) right then at the initial exam -- they said it would save me a separate appointment (an hour's cab ride for me) because it could not be done on the same day as the root canal itself, which turned out to be false (as I discovered at another provider). They apparently wanted to get the $170 x-ray fee even if I went elsewhere for a sooner root-canal. (4) they said they would mail me the x-ray in time to use with another specialist. It's too big a file for email, and they wouldn't use Dropbox or similar service. But it arrived a week later, over 3 days after my appointment with a different provider, indicating that they delayed mailing it out, despite the promise, a reminder phone call from, me and assurance that it would be mailed in time. As a result I had to pay $167 for the same x-ray from another specialist. (5) I disputed the credit card charge mainly on the basis that the late mailing rendered their $170 x-ray useless to me. To my surprise and shock, Blanca Peak fought it! So I explained the whole story to the CC company, including the multiple lies, in writing, and they sustained my dispute in less than 24 hours! My usual policy is that if the merchant makes good on a problem (which most do), I do not write a negative review. In this case, they did not voluntarily make good, but fought the cc dispute.

I went into the shop last Wednesday looking for help and the other nail tech just brushed me off and gave me acetone to take home with me. All I was asking for was help to take my nails off and when I go into the shop it's like no one sees me walk in. I'm not greeted until after 5 min of standing there for a paying customer it's very upsetting because in Denver they would never. I highly don't recommend. Highly don't recommend!!!!

We had a tire blow while we were on our way home and were scrambling to find somewhere that could help us. They were the ONLY tire place we could find open on Labor Day, and every single person there worked their butt off to get us taken care of and back on the road. They were kind, helpful, hardworking, and genuinely seemed to care that we were stranded away from home. They even let us bring our giant dog into the waiting area while they worked on our vehicle, which meant more to us than they probably realized. This entire team deserves recognition -- and honestly, they deserve a raise. They turned what could have been an awful ending to our trip into such a positive experience. I hope management makes sure they hear how much their work mattered to us. Words really cannot express how grateful we are. We Hell no, we had to call and talk to their AI about 6 times to get her to understand that we just need to talk to a real person. Never happened. I guess we travel 45 miles and go back to the store. So sad and my wife's hates AI

We generally purchase honey from a local market in Denver, forget the refined weird store stuff, right here in the valley is where we've found the best honey the last few times and decided to stop in a new place instead of buying off the street in La Jara. Anyhow, we walk in, never greeted, and head towards the small selection of honey that was available. The guy (manager) working that weekend must've rolled over to the wrong side of the bed in the middle of the night and fallen off because geez was he rude! We walked in and he coldly asked us if we were looking for honey - well, DUH, that's why were here I thought. We asked 2 questions while admiring the variety while he kept boxing up his shipment, not once coming over to help, so I stopped - it was no use, our questions seemed to pester him. They do offer a range of honey from seasonal honey, clover honey, huajillo honey, honeycomb etc, and I just wanted plain ol' honey, nothing fancy and some honeycomb. I asked which jar was the plain honey and he said they're the quart jars, I pointed to a quart jar and asked if this was it because it wasn't labeled and without looking over, he said, "well is that a quart?!?" Ok, jerk, I see it's a quart, but you can't walk 2 steps to help? Anyhow, we grab it and we walk the 2 steps to the register and my DH asks if the honey is made here, the guy says rudely, "the bees make the honey", well, we know that jerkwad, but he knew what my DH meant, so DH rephrased the question and asked if it was extracted here or elsewhere. Heck if we know, we were just curious - the bee colonies could be in the back yard or something. So finally, I throw in a remark and say "Ya know, we know it's Sunday, and although it's 10am, we all may still be sleepy, but could you just lighten up a bit ok?!?" I guess he realized he was being a total asshole and lightened up a bit by trying to show us his new salve recipe. By that time I just wanted to pay for my quart of plain honey and hit the road and not look back. Needless to say, I left behind the honeycomb because I no longer wanted to spend more money there and we definitely won't be back. Next time we'll just buy it from the gal that sells it off the road in La Jara. We always get a smile and a thank you when we leave. Oh, and I think the place needs a name change to Grumpa's Honey. Because that's who you'll get when you walk in the door.

I asked one of the employees once how they price things because they seemed high to me and they said, "We just think up prices." No research, no thought, completely unprofessional. At least the store's clean, but there was a bedbug scare there a few months back. I stopped shopping there because they're overpricing things almost as bad as the Nazarene store. Go to The Hut or Memory Lane next to Coors. They're nice and don't scream at each other.

When I needed to "see the cashier" on 9/2/2023 because the pump I parked at was not accepting my credit card, there was a line that I could tell was not moving fast any time soon. The convenience shop seemed decent. Clean. But it seemed like time was standing still so I went back out to my Jeep. Tried the pump on the other side. Sure enough, it accepted my card just fine. No need to see the cashier. No need to experience that twilight zone energy a second time. Lol. Conoco gas is sold here. That mid-morning it was $4 per regular unleaded which was 85 octane. Same price as the other gas stations nearby. TIP The Upside app has this as one of their checkin locations - it's simply an app to help you save more at the pump.
