Dr. Heidi reminds me of the 10,000 hours rule....."intensive practice to achieve mastery of complex skills and materials". Dr. Heidi is in this league with Bob Dylan and others. She perfected her profession with endless learning, practicing and training. Day after day, year after year, patient after patient. She has a great eye.  She walks in the room and Sees you! Less is more. She gives her opinion, but zero pressure. Most of her staff has been with her for decades. That speaks volumes to me. She values your time, as much as her own. I've been with dr. You can't put a price on your medical care. Being able to find a doctor that I trusted and felt safe with has given me immeasurable peace of mind. Chose Dr. Waldorf because of her resume and experience. A global mentor. After 5 years of handing her the reins for my aesthetic needs, I have permanent issues!!!!!! Fraxel went bad on my neck and am pigmented horribly. Never had an issue. Dr. Waldorf blamed a sunny vacation. Took ZERO responsibility! Also, told filler she used was never permanent so the body absorbs it or it can be taken away if necessary. TOTAL DISASTER! I have horrible side effects on my lower fat pads that will never go away without surgery. I said to her she needs to be more forthcoming with adverse effects and she said she made me sign a waiver before each procedure. Yes she did to protect herself from her mistakes. It's all my problem now!! She can't fix or give me an explanation what went so wrong and advised me to see a plastic surgeon. Passes the buck!!!DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a really bad experience with this doctor and with the people that work on the front desk. They made several mistakes and even mixed my name with another patient's name. On top of that, they never told me they do not accept my insurance and they never told me at any moment how much the consultation would cost me. I only found out afterwards that the consultation with her cost $450,00. Doctor Waldorf didn't help me at all with my scars and tried really hard to push all kinds of treatment that I don't need. Also she spoke so fast and never allowed me to ask any questions. Also I can't understand her hand writing, it's really bad. She was in a rush and didn't give me any chance to ask her any questions. Save your time, money & dignity. This doctor is pretentious, obnoxious and rude toward patients. She charges $250 for consultations; meanwhile you will still have to wait a long time in the room before she comes in - without a warming welcome. She is obnoxious and beyond egotistical. I would not recommend ANYONE to her, despite how many accreditations she may have. She saved me! I saw her at her Nanuet office for a consult and she spotted a weird mole that turned out to be an early melanoma. Now I see her either there or at her Mount Sinai office to check my skin and for fun stuff like botox and restylane that keeps me looking my best but still natural. She sells products at the Nanuet office only and I love them. In the suburbs I sometimes see her dad (also a dermatologist) for emergencies like pimples or poison ivy rashes. read more

Dr Waldorf is an excellent skin doctor and an artist at what she does. After seeing many well known and expensive cosmetic doctors in the city and being generally unimpressed, she was recommended as the best around. And that she is. She is an expert in her field. Her technique is state of the art. She focuses on making you look good and natural. Plus, she is a lovely and caring person. Occasionally it may take a bit of time to reach her NYC office for an appointment as the switchboard at the hospital can be overwhelmed. However, be patient as it is worth the extra effort to see her. She will do her best to help make you look the best you can, with minimal bruising and other complications. She has an initial consult fee that they advise all new patients as soon as you book an appointment. But I believe it is waived once you have treatment. She spends a great deal of time in the consult giving helpful advice on products, procedures, general skin care, makeup, etc, never pushing products to sell or procedures, just providing suggestions and options.
