When we entered, my husband was greeted by Laura, our friendly waitress who quickly say is at a table by the window. The decor is vintage Hawaiiana meets Tiki. Lots of neat memorabilia on the walls, bamboo and thatching. The special recommendation of their signature "Zombie Burger" with fries a a round of cokes was what we ordered. At the table next to us, they were having steak and chicken satay. It looked really good! Now, let me tell you, this burger is HUGE! It's so tall it has not one, but two skewers holding it together. Laura advised us to leave the skewers in, squish it down and cut it in half. Take care! As we finished up, the owner came in and greeted my husband. It's nice to see a place that you can frequent, be away for a while, come back and be greeted as an old friend. Everything was delicious and of course, there is nothing better than an authentic style Coca Cola in a glass bottle to wash everything down! All this great food and traditional Tiki style for a great price! I highly recommend!
A kind of boring tiki style bar that tries to make up for it with loud music and fun bartenders…read more Drinks are overpriced and not very inventive at all. I guess if you've never been to a really good tiki bar, this would seem like enough of a novelty to warrant a visit. But if that's not you, there are far better bars on this block that you should hit up.

With its Art Deco hanging lamps on every square meter of the ceiling, and a simple, yet elegant interior, you're invited to relax and let go of your worries over a perfect sandwich with a nice glass of wine. By focussing on what they're truly good at (sandwiches), and not serving dinner, this makes for one of the best lunchrooms in town. And this also affects their popularity: if you plan on visiting during peak hours, you'll probably have to wait up to 20 minutes before you can get seated. But without a doubt, I can say it is worth the wait. As a personal recommendation: try the truffle burger with a glass of Montepulciano. Finish with an espresso

My brother and I shared our portions with each other. Both the tuna and salmon were tastefully seasoned. The portions were a good deal for the price, but I'd say the salmon sandwich beat the tuna sandwich in portion size. The plate also comes with a simple and refreshing salad. They charged us for water and it was a little expensive considering they only gave us a tiny bottle. Overall it was 10€ per person per person, so a little expensive but not bad for Rotterdam.

They did a good job at organizing the tables and decoration. It's not full of tables and chairs, you'll have space for yourself instead of sitting close to a guest who is at another table next to you. I like the bar! It has a good ambiance and the music is just nice. You can think more of a lounge/chilling music. Not those music that gets on your nerves. Rokkaa serves Turkish/Meditteranean cuisine. I must say, the service is great! We had some special request like no beef. The waiter said there won't be any but re-confirmed this with the chef and came back to us as there was some beef-flavor in the food. The food was nice but not that special to me. It didn't feel like it was prepared the Turkish/Meditteranean way, but it's worth trying though!

The atmosphere is perfectly suited to a casual beer (or three) and even on a Saturday night the place has a relaxed charm, aided in no small part by its layout, with various nooks and crannys for a quiet chat - all lit by candlelight and fairy lights. It's the type of place that diverts your attention from the world outside and where you can lose a few hours to good beer and good company, which, for me at least, is the mark of a very fine bar indeed.
