Gorgeous Alpine lake not far from Garmisch. The village of Walchensee is also pretty cool with a few houses and lots of holiday accommodation. There are a handful of cafes in the village and a small tourist office. We went out on the lake in a row boat and its a gorgeous big lake surrounded by spectacular mountains. I wish I had a fishing license as this is a place I could spend an entire weekend casting the line and catching nothing :-)) Will definitely return here as its a really nice area and not as busy as some of the other lakes nearby.
