Think the store also has a chemist in it too which is handy for prescriptions whilst you are shopping. The shelves are well stacked most of the time and the floor is always clean. Good selection and availability of products . Staff are well presented and are friendly. They also seem to know where most products are if you cant find anything unlike quite a few supermarkets where they don't actually know where products are. Overall good store.

My nearest stores happened to be opposite each other in Blackwater, Camberley and so, on a trip to Camberley I decided to take a look. Aldi is situated on a junction controlled by traffic lights and so it's easy to get in and out of. It has it's own car park but beware - it's only for Aldi shoppers so don't be tempted to go in and then wander down the road to another shop! Trolleys, released by inserting the obligatory £1 coin are available outside of the store. As you enter I was pleasantly surprised. The store looked a lot brighter and more up market than I'd expected. As I went further into the store I found it neatly arranged and tidy although the initial feeling of quality was lost. The quality of produce looked very good and the prices were reasonable. Some goods were cheap, others on a par with regular supermarkets. Of the store cupboard items (and this is what I was interested in) the majority were copies of major brand names at about 2/3rds of the price. Those I tried were good or acceptable. The bakery products were actually very good. Fresh meat and frozen produce looked OK but, as I was far from home, I didn't buy. Aldi have a rotating stock of non-food goods and these seemed to be reasonable although not good value. Carrier bags must be bought and are not provided free of charge. Credit cards are not accepted (although debit cards are). It's all designed to be no-frills and efficient. It works. The most negative aspect of the store is that you come out onto the main road, with a trolley and then have to cross the entrance to the car park in order to reach your car. This feels a bit dangerous. I was certainly more impressed with Aldi than I was with the Lidl across the road.

As well as a large range of groceries, including their full "world range", there's a homewares, electricals and clothing section. There's a pharmacy, Tesco mobile shop, Travel money shop, Vision Express, Timpson and a Cafe. Outside there's a car-wash and fuel station. (Note these don't all have 24 hour service). There are also toilets and an ATM. It's so large it can be hard to find things - be prepared to walk. The car park is large but can still get very busy at peak times (as can the queues to get in and out of it). The store has level access throughout, an induction loop, and disabled parking facilities. Assisted shopping is available on request, and assistance dogs are welcome.

Just like the other Tesco I shopped last month, this store is massively huge with a major selection of produce (two aisles!), cheese, meats, and then dry goods. I'm almost glad I don't have a car, because my carrying capacity limited my spending budget here. The store also has a little snack restaurant, though I thought it had a pretty good selection for a cafeteria style deal. Great hours, it's open from Monday at 06:00 until Saturday at 22:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00. (Aside from the bus issue.) There's a petrol station in the parking area and a "freephone" near the tills for calling a taxi.

For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. leaving Tesco yesterday I realised I had a puncture so pulled in to the recycling area opposite the…read morepetrol station. the gentleman in there offered to help me as he was an ex RAC patrol man. in the end he couldn't as I did not have the correct equipment. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped to offer help, in the end a lovely young man from Latvia came and helped me. He pulled out this huge screw/ bolt from the tyre then repaired it with something magic that looked like a rubber plug. I don't know his name, he said he lived in new Milton and he had a blue car. He really was a saviour to me. I was so amazed that so many kind people came to my aid and offered help. with all the bad things happening in this world today, all the people who stopped were just kind and wonderfu, I'm glad I live in this great country.

This Sainsbury's also has a cafe area, a hot food counter, electrical and clothes areas. It is a very large store and takes quite a while to look around, although it is laid out really well. There is a dedicated desk in the clothes and electrical area that can help you with any stock that isn't out on display. It has a large fruit and veg section as well as a bakery but the frozen food isle are not that big. Good place to do your weekly shop as you have a marks and Spencer next door and the petrol is always at a reasonable price compared to other stations. Staff are also helpful and friendly.

Items for sale can sometimes be a little hit-or-miss depending on what they were able to purchase, but the usual basics are usually in stock. There typically isn't more than one brand of any item, but the quality is decent. Produce is varied and the frozen section is good. Dairy is also limited, but there is a reasonable choice in the booze and personal care areas. Service is minimal - other than a few shelf-stockers and one or two checkout staffers, there's no one there. The location is right next to the Reading West Station, on Oxford Road. As with some other stores, do have your £1 coin to deposit for a trolley ("cart" or "wagon" in American) though the hand-carry baskets are available. Two warnings. Bags are NOT free here - you either bring your own or you purchase them as you pack. They do NOT accept credit cards or checks. It's cash or debit card only. Yes, I would return. However the downside is that there may be things on my shopping list that aren't on offer, so I might end up in Tesco or Sainsbury's instead.
