I can honestly say that they screw up my order almost every time. The drivers don't check to make sure they are even giving you the right food nor if all the food is in the bag half the time. I have also had issues with them hiring people that do not speak any English ( their child or someone else in the car has to translate) which is difficult to communicate if they are lost or need help with directions. I have had someone tell me to come down stairs from my apartment to get the food for no reason other than that they didn't want to come up. I have even had people make their kids drop off my orders while they drive around on probably more fingers than I can count. I have ordered so often from them I can keep going on all the issues. People saying they arrived at my door and gave me the food yet never actually giving me the food. It is so freaking hard to contact customer service unless they call you first( rare occurrence that one) and when they do contact you they refund you and basically cut contact with you almost immediately. Recently about a week ago I ordered food for my husband and the food never arrived even though the driver said she dropped it off and then swore to customer service she talked to me at the door and that she was at my apartment. It's not hard to miss my apartment name and number in GIANT letters. The customer service rep had the audacity to tell me that maybe someone in my household (husband, me and my infant baby) may have stole it. Yea no not quite... anyways they refunded me on the app and this week I decided to shoot my shot again. I waited about an hour for my food to arrive and then I open the bag and it's a bunch of salad not sushi! I catch the Waitr guy and he tells me that he will go back to the other lady he gave my order to and get my food and bring it back. Which I was like ok whatever but I am getting a refund Bc that's gross. He left and never came back and I was refunded. Two times in a row I lost my food and they refunded me back to the app so now I am stuck with my money in there. I am no longer using Waitr Bc this is just too much. Have used and recommended Waitr since they started in my city. No major problems until this evening. The driver phoned to tell me she was at my downstairs door. When I went to the door she was apparently checking my order (which I appreciate) because I could see her hands inside the bag and then re-tied the bag. When she handed me the bag she wasn't wearing gloves and had no mask. Went online to the Waitr chat and posted my complaint. This was the response: "Hi M___. Thank you for reaching out to Waitr! I understand your frustration about other people handling the meals without PPE. While our partners and contracted drivers are not required to wear PPE, we are asking drivers to use masks, and take the proper precautions by keeping thier hands washed and sanittized. We are also advising the customers to wash their hands before eating the food. Which it sounds like you did do this." As I posted twice in my chat, during this horrific COVID-19 time of our lives, I find not food handlers' failure to wear PPE to be unprofessional, unhealthy and disrespectful! I have used waitr in Columbus Ga quite often but recently noticed the price creeping up. Last night the driver mistakenly left the receipt from the restaurant in the bag. So not only is there the tip ( expected ) and the delivery fee ( expected ) but also added a "service " fee and added 30% to the item price of each item ordered. So the driver picked up the order from the restaurant for 28.19 and my Waitr ticket was $50.12. I expect to pay for delivery service but that is not all fully disclosed and what started as reasonable has crept up to unacceptable. I'll order for pick up going forward. read more

Never, ever, ever use this service. I used it once a year ago and suddenly my information was stolen from their database and used to charge over 113 dollars to my debit card. The order was placed in Louisiana where the company is based, I live in Georgia. The person in live chat, Alix, was MOST unhelpful and not very polite and the only way to check on this issue, you cannot call a live person. He/she basically said that someone named __ was on the account now with a totally different phone number and that if I knew them I should contact them personally to be compensated.... completely did not understand my account information had been hacked from their sloppy system. For all I know it could have been an employee there since it was in the same area the company is based. Service has gone down. Placed an order over 2 hours ago. I still haven't heard a thing or received my order. I called the restaurant and didn't get an answer. I just requested a refund via the app. Also, the app sucks. It will allow you to get to the very last step of paying for your order to tell you that the restaurant is closed or that it doesn't deliver in your area. What's the point of that? Ordered food with Waitr app . OMG such a horrible service. The ETA is over an hour for a restaurant not even 10 minutes from my house. I had my friends and we were waiting for our food but even after an hour there was no one to pick the food up. The food was just sitting at the restaurant. The customer service rep said she cannot refund when the order is in progress and I have to wait until the order is delivered. There is no way to track the order in Waitr app. Inspite of high service charges their service sucks. I had to finally cancel my order as I don't want to wait for another hour for a cold food being delivered. The rep finally cancelled my order and gave me a refund which I have to wait for another 6 business days to show Up in my account. I had to spend somewhere else again for our dinner.They do not even have any courtesy to say that they would offer a discount to come back again etc. so rude !!! This company absolutely is ridiculous. They let my food sit there for 2 hours because apparently drivers get to pick and choose which orders they pick up and I am a single woman who lives by myself so naturally I'm not spending as much money as some of the other orders and they're not going to make as much commission off of my orders. There have been numerous times that I have sat and waited so long that a representative contacted me and told me that my money was being refunded because the restaurant was closing and no one was able to pick up my order. at that point of course I've been waiting on my food because I already placed the order and it's too late to order from another restaurant. I contacted management tonight to try and inform him of the issues and he completely passed the buck off on the drivers saying that they're independent and they can pick and choose which orders they take and there's nothing that he can do about it. I have never seen a manager pass the buck off on his worker bees like that and take no responsibility for the issue and provide no resolution. This is basically me being discriminated against because I'm not spending a lot of money. Apparently they don't want my business. I work for a restaurant that uses waiter and I literally see food get ready and sit there for 45 minutes and no driver picks it up when we said it was ready after 10 minutes. I've actually seen a driver come in and order food and eat before he left and took the order. they're acting like the drivers own the company instead of taking charge and making sure the company is being represented in the right light. and every time I complain about one of these events happening they just give me a code for a free delivery my next order which just puts me through the same torture of waiting another 2 hours to be told that my food wasn't going to be brought to me. waitr is absolute trash. they wouldnt give me a full refund on an order from slim chicken. all my fries and wings were ice cold. no wonder they got my food out to me after i had order in less than 20 min. the driver drove off and didnt care that he forgot a whole missing entree on my order also. waitr customer service is also trash the bitch i spoke with literally ended the convo and told me sorry for the incovience and told me to have a good day after not giving me a full refund. they only refunded the missing meal. i am pissed. they just take our money which is already way too overcharged and dont care about the customers. i will not be using waitr again and im letting everyone know how trash waitr really is. read more
