I have yet to risk taking my very slobbery chocolate Labrador Toby into any groomers simply because…read morei'm afraid he will lick them to death and never be able to go back. I groom him myself but if I was going to trim him up I would definitely take hime into Molly's. My friend takes her massive labra-doddle there for her pampering treatment and having seen Betty just yesterday I can say they do a fine job. My friend trusts them, she tells me they are reasonably priced and that Betty enjoys her experiences there. I looked in the door the other day and noticed they have hoists for bigger dogs and they use something that looks like a hoover to hoover up the stray hairs. I'm definitely going to take Toby in, just for the sheer comedy of him getting hoisted up onto a table and hoovered!! He HATES our hoover so it should be a genuine comedy moment. One small thing: Molly's may have gone a little overboard with the doggy perfume on Betty - she was smelling like Boots perfume counter!

Having always had Dobermann's that don't need grooming as such from a groomers (I have always…read morewashed Maisy myself), it was with some trepidation that I had to search for a groomer for my newest addition - a 'Cockalier'. Spoke to some doggie friends and then did a rekkie to Molly's. Molly's have now given her two 'puppy' grooming sessions and just yesterday her first real cut. I am so delighted because they did what I wanted (unlike my hairdressers). Her hair is short enough to not tangle but long enough to still be the cutest dog ever (after Maisy that is). I love that she smells of baby powder. Finally Lola is quiet shy outside of the house but she just loves them which is so important to me.

We take our little pooch here when she is feeling poorly, and they've looked after her from when…read moreshe was a little pup, making sure she gets her injections and inoculations. What I do like about them is they have several branches, and you can visit any of them, but what I don't like is you never see the same vet twice. I would imagine, like a doctor, if they get to know the patient they have a better understanding of their health? Maybe that's just me. Anyway, I usually go to the Cavehill Road branch and we always get an appointment very quickly. The girl on reception knows all the pets and takes a real interest in them, which is always nice. It's a tiny wee place though, so if you're afraid of any other animals, you could be surrounded by them at close quarters! They have operated on our dog twice and have always taken good care of her. The emergency vet is great too, they ring you straight back and will talk you through any issues on the phone. I would recommend Clare Vet group to look after any pet.

I bring my dog here and although he is a big wimp they really put him at ease - then stick a big needle in him!!! I had him neutered here and they really took good care of him, he was back home in a day and i was able to phone the on call vet for advice later that night. They have special deals for people who are unemployed so they can get animals neutered for free.
