I came to Louisville back in March, and was nervous about finding the right person to help me care for my senior baby, whose health had been declining over the last 6-12 months. After consulting Yelp recommendations on local in-home veterinary care, I instantly connected with the energy of Heart's Ease. Both Dr. Bennett and her office manager Cori are kind, compassionate, patient and detail-oriented. From the first email, I felt like I mattered, and that it was their mission to ensure my girl got the best, most appropriate care possible. Even in those moments when I was scared, resistant or in deep denial, they were there to listen, guide and support me. I feel extremely lucky and grateful that Missy's last days were spent in the care of these loving beings. They made her transition as peaceful and painless as possible, and I honestly feel like it was divine intervention that I had the intuition to bring our family here so that Missy could have this end-of-life experience, as I'm not sure if we would have had the luxury of this level of care back home. If you're looking for in-home care for your loved one, I can recommend Heart's Ease with my whole heart.

The vet referred me to Angel's Paws. Everyone was extremely caring, they explained the process and, allowed me to schedule Dexter's appointment per my schedule. The technician who came to our house brought Dexter a cheeseburger. Welcomed Dexter's "sister-dog" Hanna to stay in the room so she could also say goodbye. They did not rush through the process at all and stepped away to give privacy for my family after Dexter crossed the rainbow bridge. I was also able to order customized urn for dexter, tattoo quality paw print and nose print . I will use this service again and would recommend Angel's Paws to anyone.

We called Angel's Paws at 9 AM and Dr. Kate Smith arrived by 3. By 3:15, Bo suffered no more. Words cannot express how grateful we are for this incredible service. Dr. Kate's calm compassion and meticulous care was exactly what my family needed during this very difficult time. We are so lucky to have Angels like Dr. Kate living among us. With our deepest gratitude. Andy and Katie Janig.

Unfortunately, we did not see that call until 2. My dog has no "file". She is new to the area. They want to leave early on a Friday. Just say that. We will go elsewhere, but never an emergency vet. They charge $2000 to walk in the door. I'll drive to UK OR Purdue first. This is not an emergency. No blood, clear airway, no fever, digesting solids and liquids. Very sad, as we had heard good things.

I can't say enough good things about Middletown Animal Clinic. After moving to Louisville in 2015,…read morewe tried a few veterinarians and were bitterly disappointed. A neighbor recommended Middletown Animal Clinic and it was like 'coming home.' Dr. Stephanie and Dr. McReynolds give top-notch care with utmost compassion. The receptionist is so caring and works hard to keep things moving. When back-ups occur, she is quick to apprise those who are waiting about the situation in a courteous and kind manner. The vet techs/assistants are just as caring and compassionate as the docs. The office is small, with no actual waiting area, so you phone them from your car and wait to be called inside. The exam rooms (entire building) are older and in dire need of updating (dated wallpaper, flooring, dusty and cluttered shelving), but newer equipment is present. I feel the place could use a deep cleaning and some cosmetic changes. However, what the office lacks in appearance, it more than makes up for with compassionate, knowledgeable veterinarians and staff. I will take that trade off any day! The office is located on Main Street in the heart of 'Historic Middletown.' There are 6-7 parking spaces in the front of the building, but street parking is also available up and down the street.

Stephanie Koehler and Marilyn McReynolds are extremely knowledgeable and treat our pets like their own. The same is true of the staff including (Laura Shircliff, Receptionist and Client-Care Team Leader). The facility is small with only five parking places and no waiting room. You simply park and call the receptionist. She stays in contact with you to let you know when a room is ready. The facility is in need of remodeling and updating but I'll give them a 'pass' in lieu of the superb treatment.

If there was an emergency with the cats I know she could handle it. Reality is, leaving your pets in the care of someone else during travel can be anxiety-provoking. With Lucy on the case that anxiety goes away. I had one cat who was getting close to the end of his life and Lucy's visits allowed me to feel comfortable about leaving so I didn't miss Christmas with my parents.

Now we are four months waiting, and I'm mortified that I left my beloved animal at this facility. I can not recommend this to anyone. The owner talks all the right talk, but after being told tonight that I should not call and check again, they will call me when Holly is ready...unacceptable. Emergency out of state for 4 days and two weeks of snow/ice doesn't equate to two months past my scheduled pick up date. I'm mortified that I did not lay my Holly to rest appropriately. That is something I can not do over, but I can warn others to avoid this. Do better Affordable Pet Cremation, or simply don't put others through this horrendous experience.
