Recently we had to make the decision to send our 18 year Jack Russell, Junior Bean aka. JB to heaven. This was our 7th Jack Russel and by far our favorite. He made everyone feel like they were his owner, a true lover boy he was. Dr. Kate Smith arrived at the house with a cheese burger for JB and as he ate she began the very humane process. I cannot say enough good things about the process and Angel's Paws. They made a very difficult decision and process a peaceful one. We thank Angel's Paws with all our hearts.

I've written lots and lots of yelp reviews but this one is bittersweet and unique. I often review dog friendly restaurants and activities because my little rescue marshmallow was the pup that made my wife and I a family. She helped us welcome our two daughters and a new home, she saw me through medical residency, cardiology fellowship and interventional training. When Marshie became sick and we made the decision to respect her quality of life angel's paws was amazing. I write this on the day of her passing because I hope my review can bring comfort to some people. They will treat your beloved animal with respect, and frankly I can not imagine a better more peaceful way for my little girl to leave her physical body. This is a service everyone should use.

I can't say enough good things about Angel's Paws. For such a hard decision they were the best choice we made to help our Ripley cross over the rainbow bridge. The team was so compassionate from the first phone call. They walked us through the options and when it was time they made a painful situation the best it could be. It I would highly recommend this service to anyone with a beloved pet in their winter years. They truly made a terrible situation the best it could really be! Thank you to the caring team!

I cannot express the extent of my gratitude for Angel Paws. They made the passing of my closest companion, Kitty, who had been in my life for 21 years, an intimate experience full of grief, love, and respect. I recommend Angel Paws to anyone who's been blessed to experience the unwavering love a furry companion offers. It is a gift to both you and them, giving them the dignity and comfort to have their last moments be surrounded by their family in their home where life has grown so big. Kitty curled up on her favorite blanket, showered with kisses, she left our lives at peace never having to leave the place she loved most.

On one of life's standout hard days, having recently made one of life's hardest decisions. We are very thankful for the Lap of Love professionals--from the intake clerk who set up our appointment to the veterinarian who came to our home to put an end to our ailing girl's suffering. As far as Martha was concerned, a new friend came over to play. She was the center of attention, as was her preference, in middle of her domain, the only home she has ever known. Surrounded by her family, she went peacefully---which is first most positive thing I can say about this gut-wrenching experience.

And I have 8 pets so I have a lot of experience! Im not usually one to leave reviews but I need to on this one. I went there twice & my siblings also both went, and every single experience with them was terrible!!! I spent 2 hours at this Urgent Care for one of my cats and spent $400+ on my visit just for my poor cat to get worse. My cat is feeling and acting even worse than before I brought her in. All of the doctors sounded like they had literally no clue what was going on with her and decided to start working on her before they even knew what was wrong. Every question I had they weren't able to answer directly or thoroughly. I probably could've gotten 100x more useful help and information from Google. They sent my cat home with a $50 plastic cone (that they insisted she needed to have on for 2 weeks) and It broke within the first 24 hours we got home, on top of that they refuse to give me a refund or a new cone. They also shared my personal finance information with another customer without my consent. I even tried to call them and see if they could resolve the issue a couple days later and wow, shocker, NO HELP! They don't care about you or your pets just your $$$! At the end of the visit I left their office crying and they had the audacity to tell me to leave a good review, so here It is! I AM APPALLED, FRUSTRATED AND SHOCKED ON HOW I WAS TREATED TODAY…read more A little background: i have been bringing my dogs to Kyle vet for 15 years. NEVER, NEVER have i ever had a problem. I have spent $$$$$$$ to care for my dogs. ($3-5,000 yr} I don't even question any care that they recommend. 1- Each year I bring the employees 2 cakes so they can celebrate my dog's birthday with him. GREAT RELATIONSHIP. 2- I have brought in homemade cookies, candy etc for the holidays. One year, I brought in personalized coffee mugs for everyone. A thanks for the care and love shown to Milton 3- I have recommended Kyle Vet to everyone that I can. My neighbors, my best friend, my business customers etc etc. 3- I was BLOWN AWAY by how they treated a dog i had 10 years ago. Duke had a heart attack at the Vet office and one of the nurses actually gave my dog mouth-to-mouth until we could get to the hospital across the street. OUTSTANDING! 4- I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. i was scared and concerned about my current dog. DR KYLE..........DR KYLE immediately set me at ease. She said she would personally find a home for him even if she had to take him. THIS IS THE WAY TO BE TREATED. DR KYLE AND HER TEAM CARED!!!! A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP!!! TODAY....... I had Chemo treatments this morning. I thought I would drop Milton off to have some fun. Dropped him off, said Thank you and advised them I would be back at 12-12:30pm. They texted and said he needed his Bordetella shot. No problem let's get it done. I show up at 12:10 pm. 1- The building is locked. I looked around ..no clue. I finally saw a 3inch by 5-6inch note on the entry door. When I arrived at 8:30am I had my dog in hand, and at the same time, I am helping another lady open the door because she had a bigger dog and she was trying to handle him. NO ONE SAID A THING WHEN I DROPPED HIM OFF......even though I said I would be back at noon. 2 - I called ....no answer. I texted the same person who texted me to get approval for his Bordetella shot. no response. They don't have a problem when they want my $$$$$$$, but now I get no communication. 3- I finally decided to walk around to the side door. Someone did answer the door, and I stated I just want my dog. I am not driving 20-25 minutes north just to turn around and drive 20-25 minutes back. I was not happy and just wanted to rest. 4- As the one employee went to get Milton another employee decided to get involved. I was not having it. i am frustrated and really just want to go home and rest. CHEMO will kick your A--! Her comment to me was ..........FIND ANOTHER VET. DID I REALLY JUST HEAR THAT......FIND ANOTHER VET. WOW. I CAN GUARANTEE SHE DID NOT HAVE ANY PERSONAL INVESTMENT IN THE BUSINESS. SHE SURE THOUGHT SHE COULD MAKE DECISIONS THAT AFFECTED ME, MY DOG AND THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS. SHE NEEDS TO FIND ANOTHER JOB IF SHE CAN'T HANDLE IT. 5- For 40 years I was a supervisor for Bridgestone/Firestone. I was responsible for one location and then for 32 locations and finally ended up as a Zone Controller that managed 286 locations. Here is the simple, proper, CARING way to handle the situation. 1- Put a larger sign on both front doors. At least an 8x11 inch. Not black and white writing. Make it stand out. This sign should go on entry and exit doors. 2- Every customer that comes in, or even calls on the phone, needs to be reminded that "we will be closed from noon to 1pm today for a special meeting". Again, every customer. 3- Even though you are closed, one employee should be assigned to watch the front office in case of a customer that needs help. REGULAR CARE OR EMERGANCY CARE. This is the way I was taught early in my career, and I followed it for the next 40 years. NO EMPLOYEE MEETING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE CUSTOMER. One person can miss that meeting. They can be caught up after the meeting. FINALLY.... this location changed management as of Jan 1. (I believe Dr Kyle retired 12/31). I was extremely frustrated this morning. Anyone that has gone through Cancer treatments understands that once the session is done, all you want to do is go home and sleep. There were many steps that could have been done to eliminate the situation. I now have a decision........ do I listen to an employee that 1- doesn't care, 2-doesn't know how to handle a frustrating situation, 3- makes decisions that affect many people with no $$$$ invested in the business OR do I forget the situation and continue to bring Milton to the same place that he/I are comfortable with?? Have I been blind in the past? Have I been fooled? It is SAD that i should even have to entertain this thought. By the way, someone just emailed me a copy of Milton's records. What I find VERY INTERESTING is that they did not leave any name or who it was sent from. To me that is a coward move.

Our last experience with MedVet was our foster, Wrigley. He had trouble from the start and eventually had to leave this world in the most humane, peaceful manner. After that, we brought in our 15 year old dog who was having issues standing and crying all night (in spite of his pain meds). Our vet wasn't available (we love them as well) so we brought him to the best place we know. I cannot say enough on how nice and understanding everyone is...one of the initial ladies had tears in her eyes when I broke down after deciding to end our boy's suffering. They were amazing from start to finish. They set us up in a private room and we met with their personnel who went over the procedure with us. They had nice girlsl who took him (he went willingly which was a sign of trust) to the back and gave him love and treats (their love for animals is apparent). The moment arrived when we had to say goodbye to our boy of 15 years. The vet was amazing and the staff was incredible. While I don't wish a death on anyone, I realize it happens. This is one of the best places to go to for end-of-life issues if your vet is unavailable. It is CLEAR the people here (front desk, assistant and vets) care about these animals.

Extremely disappointing and stressful experience during an emergency We brought my son's cat to MedVet in the middle of the night during an emergency, after speaking with her regular vet and being told she urgently needed IV fluids. We arrived expecting emergency care. We were there for over two hours, and during that time, no treatment was provided--even though they agreed she needed care. Instead, the focus felt overwhelmingly centered on cost. The pattern was repetitive: an assessment, followed by "here's what we would like to do, but here's the cost," over and over. We had already confirmed we would pay and had signed the paperwork, yet the constant cost discussions delayed care to the point that I finally asked them to stop. This process was incredibly stressful, especially for my son, who was simply desperate to get his cat the treatment she needed. Ultimately, they decided to give her fluids and keep her overnight so another vet could treat her in the morning. Tragically, she passed away. I understand that veterinary care is expensive and that transparency matters--but in an emergency setting, urgency and compassion should come first. Based on our experience, I would only use MetVet as an absolute last resort. There are other emergency veterinary options in the area that provide far better care and communication during crisis situations. Edited because I had a typo in the name of the clinic. This is the MedVet in Eastgate on Red Bank Road.

My opinion of…read moreEncore is that they are all about money and have zero interest in providing veterinary care. The staff at Lake Pointe is tremendous. However, their x-ray machine has been inoperable now for about 8 weeks! Any procedure requiring an x-ray cannot be performed. You will still pay for the office visit even though the service cannot be provided. We took our pet that has cardiomyopathy to Lake Pointe to have its chest tapped to remove excess fluid. This requires that an x-ray be done to locate the needle insertion point. Since the x-ray unit was still in need of repair or replacement they could not perform the procedure. They referred us to the local VEG emergency hospital where we paid an $1100 bill for their services. I have reported Encore Vet to the Ohio Veterinary board for investigation. To have an x-ray unit out of service for 8 weeks shows how little they care about providing care for animals. I repeat, they are in it for money and nothing else. I also repeat that the Lake Pointe staff in Amelia are great but their lack of support from the corporate ownership has caused me to find a new veterinary clinic. If zero stars were a choice, that would be my rating. I do not recommend Lake Pointe in Amelia due to corporate's lack of caring.

Dr Dan seriously loved helping all the animals, but the new owners are hostile to anyone who challenges their opinion, unlike Dr Dan who acted more like a consultant to those who were trying to care for their own animals, and especially rescuers in order to help more animals . The new owner/vet presumes to dictate her opinions on vaccination, does not consider the pet owner's possible intelligence, ignoring the research showing that none of the vaccines has been tested against a genuine placebo, as well as the research showing that veterinary vaccines caused early cancers on dogs, and the research showing that [in humans] unvaccinated children were far healthier than the vaccinated. Then came the subject of surgery, potentially to find cancer and dismissal of successful use of ivermectin to cure cancer in animals --which is being adopted now by many humans now posting their successful results as n=1 cases repeating many times. But no worry, she'll be most eager to proffer euthanasia services and her prices are more than double for even just an office call. Guaranteed this woman doesn't even deserve a 2.5 rating ...even tho the surviving staff still try to be helpful on the phone. TTYL

Obviously that is just devastating. My pup was gone forever. BUT let me tell you, this place showed me that you CAN trust them with your furry family members100%. My sweet Oliver was cremated and put into an urn I chose out of their large selection that they have. They had one that was for ferrets so that's the one I selected. I will attach photos of the urn and imprintings I received. I paid total 80$ or so for the cremation of Oliver, the urn for his ashes, hair clippings from Oliver, and the imprints from his feet and nose. So thankful for everything they were able to do for me.
