Our neighbors (we live in the country, so its relative) had major home renovations and we watched the progress of their home every time we drove by. When we decided the time was right for our renovations, we talked to our neighbors. They were so very excited to share and recommend the Haggerty Team. They gushed about how the guys working on their home, had become part of the family. They gave us a Haggerty magnet and told us we would not be disappointed. Wow, were they right. We are over the moon about our "new" home. New siding and windows have made us proud of our home once again. The installers were so professional and personable. It was snowing many days during the install, yet they were still there working away in their Carharts. They always made a point to watch out for my old dog and see that she was taken care of. Our house has totally transformed and Haggerty did it. The guys went above and beyond and made sure to repair any damage to the house before siding over it. Clean-up happened daily, and I never had to ask them organize their things or address any issues. There were no issues. I just can't tell you how happy we were with the results and with the Haggerty Team. They literally helped with everything from picking out design and colors. Thanks you Haggerty for a great experience and a beautiful home. Deb & Brian Christian

On balance, not a good experience with Haggerty. Will try and be factual and objective, but realize…read morethe later may be hard to do. I was referred to them by a trusted co-worker after hail damage to my roof. The company quickly sent out an inspector, they proved a quote and the work was approved by our insurance company. We selected the materials and colors and delivery of the materials was timely. The work was started in November of 2019 - note I said started but not finished. The roof went on quickly and though there were a few corrections needed, it went as well as could be expected. Four downspouts that were to be replaced weren't, and remain that way to this day - over 9 months later. Additionally, they didn't replace the leaf guards in all areas of the gutters and several gutters were clogged with roofing debris, which continues to cause overflow issues and is damaging the landscape below. Finally, they left the yard in a troubling state of cleanliness due to the amount of debris, tacks and roofing nails left behind. To this day, I continue to pick nails out of the yard and only hope my dog doesn't get one. This spring, we contacted them about finishing and they were most apologetic. Yet, nothing happened despite multiple exchanges of emails. We had been holding back $5,000 until the work was completed but in a gesture of good faith, I paid them $4,000 (wish I hadn't now). They finally sent a guy out to measure the downspouts and look at the missing gutter guards. And despite his good attitude and promises, we still don't have the work completed. We were told that since ours was such a small job, it was hard to get attention to it (of course, when the project was initiated it wasn't a small job). I've informed Haggerty management that regardless of whether they finalize the work or not, I would not be releasing the final $1,000 due to the extreme delay, though I hoped as a Des Moines based company that emphasized "do it right" and Iowa values, they would act responsibly and complete the work. That has not happened and I will now need to hire another company to complete the work (and then it's likely a small claims suit to recover the difference in costs). In good conscience I can't recommend this company, and that is unfortunate as they nearly got it right. But they really got it wrong in the end.

Remember, when you hear something more than once it's likely to be true…read more.. MAKE THEM PUT EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!! Seriously, don't leave ANYTHING off the contractno matter how small or trivial it may seem! We had the same experience the other reviewer... They didn't start our siding project on time (2 months late) without any contact from the company and we had to make several calls to get them out to start. When they did start it was hit-and-miss when the workers came out to do the work. The installers were nice enough but they weren't always sent by the company to work on our project so it drug on and on for a couple of months when it was only supposed to be two weeks to do the installation of all the siding on the house and the garage. They tried to charge us $500 for prep work for the stone work that we were having done on the front of the house and I observed that their prep work was the exact same thing as tearing off the old siding so they can install new siding, there was no additional prep work involved. I made them take the $500 charge off the bill. Their salesman was a fast talker / snake oil salesman and he thought he had an answer for every one of my objections except he couldn't rebut them because I used to be a contractor and I called him on all of his BS. It was almost Winter by the time they got the project completed. I hired two of the workers/brothers to rebuild my deck through their deck building company, by the time everything was done it was too late to finish up the painting and the two brothers promise to come back in the spring and finish it up. When I contacted them in the spring to make arrangements for them to come finish the painting and some adjustments on the deck railing I was told by them that they were instructed by Superior Exteriors not to contact or do business with any of the customers that come in contact with so I wasn't able to get them out to finish the painting and I had to someone else to make the adjustments to the deck railing. I had to make numerous phone calls to the company to get someone to come out and complete the painting and the project had already been paid for in full. The workmanship is good but the manner in which this company does business is questionable and their do not uphold what they promise or meet start dates or completion deadlines. We also placed an order to replace all of our windows and the window maker came out and took exact measurements so the windows were supposed to fit precisely within the frame, but what was delivered and installed where standard size windows in which additional work to the windows had to be done to make them fit properly. The window installer finish the windows out with quarter round trim instead of normal window trim and it was unfinished leaving that task for us to complete when it was our understanding that everything would be completed in a finished fashion. I complained about the trim and the windows to the company but they wouldn't do anything about it. I would NOT do business with this company again because of the manner in which we were misled on numerous things!!! I strongly caution you about doing any business with this company... As I said in the beginning, get EVERYTHING in writing and call them daily to try and get them to honor what they contract/promise!!!

I would not do business with Superior Exteriors again. In November of 2020, one of their employees…read more(who was preparing an estimate for a new deck) informed me that a section of siding Superior had installed was "bubbling" and would require a fair amount of work to repair. He also was adamant that the company would stand behind the job and fix the problem. I have spent a year calling Superior several times a month, but they have yet to return a single one of my calls. I have literally reached out dozens of time, and gotten not a whisper back. [[ BTW, this is the comment I posted on the Better Business Bureau website, which has nothing positive to say about this company's business practices. ]]

We contracted with Hansons to install gutter guards on our home. We ran into several snags and…read moresnafus. First, a color change in the gutter guards was made within one hour of signing the contract. A change in contract was made with the salesperson. A day or so before the installation, we wanted to confirm the color change was active. It was not. I provided documentation that the change in contract was made. I informed the salesperson about the mistake. His response, "Wow my bad - I was driving when we did the CIC. Sorry about that - she has it now!". Wow my bad?!?! The change occurred because I inquired, not because of the salesperson's doing. Secondly, the job was done by a third party. We were not informed of this prior to signing the contract. In fact, we have learned that Hansons does not do any work but subcontracts all jobs. This misrepresents facts in both advertising and sales. To add on to this, if Gish's Gutters were subcontracted by Hansons, we probably could have hired Gish's Gutters to do the job for a lessor amount. Third, we did not receive a call prior to the installation crew arriving. When I spoke to a Hansons' representative on the phone regarding this, I was told an email/text was sent giving a window of time, 8am - 12pm. However, an email from Hansons reads: "Your Project Coordinator will contact you the morning of your appointment to explain what to expect to take place that day and answer any questions you may have about the installation." This call never occurred. In all honesty, I cannot provide a review on Hansons' work because Hansons did not pick up a tool to do the installation. I can, however, provide an evaluation for Gish's Gutters. They were extremely professional and installed a product that was to our satisfaction. I would recommend Gish's Gutters to other people.
