Having dined at a Wagamama in London years ago I was left with memories not entirely favorable so it was wonderful to experience their menu improvements all these years later.
Swansea isn't London. Dining options here are less rife and this works in Wagamama's favor. After considering other options, I dined here twice within a few days and was seriously considering a third visit. The food was very good with exciting flavors and a large menu that was fun to explore.
For a very reasonable price, Wagamama delivers very satisfying fare in a casual but stylish and nice atmosphere. They seem to hire friendly staff and it will do you no good to get too attached: your servers will change throughout the meal.
My sole gripe centered around automating the pay process. While the notion of paying via your phone without ever receiving a bill sounds like it would speed things up (and I imagine it would, if one dines here regularly) the process repeatedly failed for me and caused mounting frustration. A server is happy to provide you with a bill that can be paid directly, without use of your phone, and I'd advise opting for that route if you are just a passing tourist in the town of Swansea.
I'd probably opt for other places were I back in central London, but outside of major cities I found Wagamama a reliably good choice for a very tasty Pan Asian meal. read more
