This place is very efficiently run - the owner obviously put a lot of thought into the process of food ordering and service.
It's usually very busy - and this could be a big problem if it wasn't so well organized. There's no waiting around here, and there are a large number of tables, so it's unusual not to be able to find anywhere to sit even though it's so popular.
You find yourself a table (each table is numbered) then go up and to the till and order from the very extensive menu (which is posted outside and behind the till) - and give them the table number and pay up front. I.e. - no having to sit around until a waiter brings you a menu and then wait for them to come back and take your order. Food service is very fast - I was amazed that they could cook some of this stuff in the time between when we ordered and when it was delivered to the table. And again, no waiting around at the end to pay the bill as you paid up front - so you can just get up and leave whenever you're done. And if you want dessert or something else you can get up and go to the till and order it as soon as you've finished off your main course - no waiting for the waiter to come back and ask you if you want anything else.
This isn't a gourmet place - so if you're looking for a fancy restaurant with top quality steak cooked to perfection and a nice quiet ambience, it's probably not for you. But I found all the food I had tasty and have no complaints about any of it.
The thing I really like about the place is that the menu is so extensive that there's something for everyone. You can go there at different times of day for different things. E.g I went in in the morning just for a coffee (very nice coffee!), and then went another day in the evening for more of a full meal. One day I went early and had breakfast.
It's also really handy if you have a group of people who all want something different. For example, we went in one early evening and my husband wasn't hungry - so he just had a latte, my daughter only wanted a dessert and a milk shake - and I wanted Pizza. But we could all have what we wanted and eat together at the same time. read more
