It took a bit of convincing for my brain to accept a full waffle menu as a good lunch option, but once I finally got over that hurdle, I fell hard for Waffle On and everything waffle-related inside. There's a full savoury waffle menu and a full sweet menu so it doesn't matter how you're feeling, you can waffle-ise it appropriately. For my first visit I went savoury because I could not ignore the call of the brisket reuben. My second visit was on a full-ish stomach but I still fit in some waffle fries (I don't know if I would have described them this way but they were delicious and there were a lot of them). My third visit I hit up that bacon and banana combo that's always like, but is it sweet or savoury? And do I care? I can't wait to find out what I feel like on my next visit. What a treat!
Coffees are served with lil waffle puffs that I will attempt to steal from every friend I take here, because I tend to get an ice-cream spider instead, because I am secretly twelve years old. The staff are sweet and friendly. There's not a huge amount of seating but there still always seems to be a spot to pull up whenever I visit, and the kind of clientele that Waffle On attracts means that shared tables are totally a thing. Nice vibes. Split bills are no drama, either. Well done. See you soon. read more
