I can say that these are the best I've ever had (although I may be biased; I come here since the age of 4, or thereabouts). The menu is not long, basically it is poffertjes (plain, wirh rum, ginger or Gran Marnier), dutch waffels (thinner and more crunch than Brusselse or Luikse) and drinks. That's all you will need, though. The enormous poffertjes hob is impressive, the waffel oven is beautiful. As is the "kraam" itself (at least from the front and inside). Worth a visit in itself. It is correct this place is not open all year round, between april and september you are in the clear, though (summer, basically). I believe they open mid april and close mid september.

The staff was happy to accommodate my request to enjoy a veggie crepe. The size of the crepe was huge! In a break with the norm for dining in the Netherlands, the staff didn't look at me as though I was insane for requesting the left-overs to-go. (A disgusting habit in the eyes of most Europeans...) We were lucky to be able to dine in twice during our stay. Great service, quality ingredients, a wide variety of items - from pancakes, HUGE salads and entrees featuring local proteins. We ordered the banana crepe to share and I got a coffee while my wife ordered the pear juice. The pair juice comes from a bottle. The coffee was served in a small cup and was ok. I am used to drinking it with cream and sweetener. But Europeans don't have these items, so I just drank it with sugar. I think we waited almost 30 minutes before our food came out. Now, we only ordered crepes with bananas inside. Usually at the mall, it takes a few minutes to make crepes. I don't know how it took almost 30 minutes for them to make 1 item. Mind you, the place was not full when we came, so I don't understand how long we had to wait for our server to order our food and why it took so long for them to make our food.
