We did the wine tasting and had three generous pours for only $7 each. There is some variety of dry, semi-dry, and sweet. What I really loved about the experience was how warm and welcoming the staff were, and how beautiful this venue is! We absolutely love the downtown, and we have 2 favorite places to stay- the Candlewood and the other big hotel across the street. Each has it's own charm, but I personally prefer the Candlewood. The rooms are expansive and come with a kitchenette. The location here is key- this is right on the corner of 7th and Wabash. Downtown TH has some super fun bars and restaurants and they're all a hop from this place. The hotel is quiet, clean, and like I already mentioned, the rooms are huge. Every time I am here I sleep like a baby- the beds are so comfortable and the hotel is quiet. I love their workout room here too- it's got everything I need to have an excellent workout while I'm on the road. It's super clean and has a nice range of equipment. Overall this is an excellent hotel. Even after our son graduates next year, I can see my wife and I coming to Terre Haute to enjoy a few of the restaurants in town, and we will definitely stay at the Candlewood Suites again.

My kids are 2 and 3, and we easily spent about 2.5-3 hours exploring. There was SO much to do that we actually ended up spending most of our Terre Haute day here instead of making it to the other places I had planned. What I loved most was that the exhibits weren't just fun -- they encouraged kids to learn through play. There were opportunities to pretend to be construction workers, veterinarians and farmers, dig for dinosaur bones, explore engineering and physics, learn about seasons, and so much more. My kids especially loved the construction area, sand table, water play, pretend-play areas, Amazing Airways and the giant bubble you can actually stand inside! They also have a two-story treehouse, toddler area, Fit Gym, Fresh & Fit Market/Kitchen, and their new Wonders of the Wabash water exhibit. There are three floors, so there was plenty to explore. I also really appreciated that there were activities for different ages, although some features -- like the ropes course -- have height requirements. My kids weren't tall enough for that yet. Admission is very reasonable at $9 for ages 2+, with children under 2 free. They're also part of the Access Pass Program and offer Toddler Tuesdays. If you're visiting Terre Haute with kids, I would definitely put this on your list! We could have easily spent even longer here.

There is a nice farming section. A really big water table. Also a large tree house climbing structure and for the bigger kids a harnessed rope course. It was easy to spend 2 hours here. Great resource for the Terre Haute area.

i just need to get this off my chest: my girlfriend and i go almost every Sunday for your bingo…read more and always enjoyed ourselves very much. but lately there has been more and more of the workers saving tables for a few, so that they can come in at the last minute and just have their choice of the best seats. we feel this is not right. it should be first come first serve.we always get there at least an hour and a half early so we can get a good seat and they are all full with bingo cards and signs saying don't move these cards.my girlfriend asked about this a few weeks ago and was told that he was going to end the saving of seats and that we could sit anywhere we wanted, so yesterday we come in at 12:45 for 2:30 bingo and there are more saved seats then there was before. so i go up to complain about this and was told goodbye we don't need your business.i have been an american legion member here for 2 years and for many years up in Wisconsin before i moved here.we would spend at least 50 or 60 dollars per person every time we went.i just don't feel that this is right. being that i am a paying member of this post and a vet. i should be able to sit where i want over a few old women who think they own the place.i will be changing posts and will never go to 104 ever again.my money will spend just as good at the eagles or the moose or a casino and be treated better then here.
