With water…read morefeatures and all the shade from the lush forest, it's a nice spot to go for a run or bike ride; there's even a separate trail for foot traffic, and a picnic area for relaxing. It'll take less than an hour for a round trip meander along the level path. That said, I wouldn't recommend making an effort to include this as a tourism stop, as there are more visually stimulating landscapes the Hague has to offer.

The semi-open pavilion near the two small bridges near offered a popular spot to relax. The bonsai were a little worse for the wear, and someone appeared to be working on a fence repair, but the foliage was otherwise nicely groomed.

Also nice spot for wedding pictures. Brough my GF here and she loved it, flowers are beautiful and its a different garden from the most in Netherlands. Its only open 8 weeks in the year, during spring, so plan it ahead.

Including the…read moreJapanese garden (which is only groomed and opened for four weeks, twice a year), three hours is an adequate amount of time to wander the grounds, and there's a smattering of benches around if sitting back in open grass doesn't appeal to you. It's a beautiful place to relax and decompress (and add to your daily step count). We didn't stop in at the cafe since its menu seemed limited, but plenty of regulars seemed happy to give them business. There were fewer water fountains than another park we visited, and no bathrooms.

It is nice for running and has lots of sporting facilities. It can get very crowded, especially in summer when people are allowed to bring their own barbecue.
