W. Violin is without a doubt my go to shop--every experience has been only positive, including during the pandemic. Gene makes time for whatever issue I may have, even during unexpected time constraints. He always makes sure my violin gets the attention it needs. Once my bridge snapped as I was trying to change my strings. Gene was so patient and attentive as I explained what had happened. He cut a new bridge, but when he looked at my violin more closely he became immediately concerned. There was an underlying issue with the neck which if I'd continued to play it could have snapped! I'm so grateful that he was present enough to notice something which had been missed by another shop and treat it so carefully. My father and I found W Violin Shop by accident but are so glad we did. My grandmother had an old violin she played throughout her life back in Ireland. My father brought it to America when he came in 1954. We mostly kept it in our basement until we recently decided to get it restored. The owner of the W Violin Shop couldn't have been kinder or more knowledgeable. A true professional and expert in his field. He restore the 300+ violin to almost its original state. I brought in my husband's old violin,which he played back in the 80's, that needed a complete repair. Not knowing much about string instrument myself, Mr.Park was extremely courteous and explained thoroughly what needed to be done at a reasonable price within the time frame that needed to be repaired(this was going to be Father's day surprise gift).
