I was really happy staying here this time above all my previous stays. I really think they have stepped up when it comes to hospitality. You can just tell they do whatever it takes to make sure nothing goes wrong but that if it did they'd fix it asap. They are THE BEST about honoring the Marriott Ambassador late check out status so when we called for our 4pm checkout , not once did they say, "Let me see...oh sorry we have people coming in so we can only do noon." :eyeroll: which we all know is 100% a lie. Bloody Mary Taste Test I have got to say that the Bloody Mary at their bar has to be one of the best, if not THE best Bloody Mary I ever ever had. It wasn't too watery or too tomato-y and if you get it spicy, it's actually a perfect spiciness. 10/10 on this one. The rooms are pretty nice. Just try not to get a view of the darned roof if you can. We asked to be upgraded and had a fun view of Victory Lane and AA Center. We were there for the Stars and Mavs games so staying at the W was PERFECT since we could just walk across the street. Also a very close-by 7-11 and CVS. ALSO A Tom Thumb if needed is in walking distance. Highly recommend this place!

I had the worst stay at the W Hotel in Dallas. I'm not even one to write bad Yelp reviews, but it's reached a point where I want to warn others before booking here. Just like everyone else I had this perception the W Hotel was this elite, 5-star type modern hotel. It's quite opposite. Upon arrival, the concierge was nice and explained all my benefits through Amex. Upon arrival to the room: - No welcome basket through Amex (that they said would be in my room ready for me). After I called and expressed my concerns, they said the next morning when the kitchen opens, they will send it up. Never got it; which is fine, but it's the addition of things afterwards. - Shower drain not properly draining the water. It took 20-min for the water to go down. - I can literally hear my neighbor snoring from the other room. There is a connecting door between the rooms. It just made me uncomfortable. - No one explained how room service could be ordered or where was the menu. - Booking a spa appointment made no sense if you planned to charge it to your room for the Amex credit back. It doesn't allow you that option, rather to input your cc details. - The view is dirt and construction. - The pool water was mucky, and the glasses surrounding were dusty (hence the construction, go figure). - They don't have any type of snack bar or lobby treats. I don't even mind buying them. They just have green apples in a large basket. - Hotel front desk doesn't want to be bothered or of much assistance unless they have to. I get it, it's the service industry, it's not the most ideal, but I was pleading for them to give me the rundown on where the pool/gym was, hours they were opened, etc. just basic info that I didn't have to go googling for. - 5:45pm there's not one host/hostess to get me seated for the restaurant Villa Azur. I waited there patiently waiting staring at every hotel front desk staff and any person that walked in the restaurant. Eventually, I just sat at the bar and waited. 10-min later, a nice bar tender arrives and takes my order. Overall, the views are nice and the location of the hotel is convenient. But, for the price you're paying - pay a little extra (if that) and stay at the Ritz or somewhere where I'd believe you would have a more pleasant stay. You're just not really welcomed here or treated like a guest. I really do want to give every business a fair chance, and was hesitant in even writing this review, but I figured corporate wouldn't care, but maybe it could help save someone else from booking.

This is one of those I have mixed feelings about. The hotel has a very young, hype and trendy vibe. It definitely gives rockstar vibes. The common areas are in need of some care, you can definitely tell the hotel was built almost 18 years ago and it seems like they haven't renovated since then. The pool is spectacular. I can't rave enough about this pool. The staff was very attentive. Location is very good, especially if you are going to an event at the American Airlines arena. I will say it is overpriced. We paid $60 for valet. $23 for an old fashioned made with Bulleit...I don't know about that. All drinks are minimum $18 and the food was a little pricey too. Yes, it's a nice place and I would expect the high prices but definitely not luxury prices, because it's not luxury.

There's no place better to stay if you're in town for a Mavs game or a concert at the AAC in Dallas. The W Dallas is literally across the street. Depending on the room you get there are balconies the look right over all the action. The staff is super friendly. They have no food options (not even candy machines in the middle of the night) so that's a little odd... they used to? Maybe it's a covid thing. But hey I love staying here and always will.

After trying to surprise my partner with a romantic getaway for Valentine's Day, I chose the W hotel. When I chose the W hotel, I had selected a certain room and then they offered me inside the website and upgraded to a better room. I thought that was a great idea, so I went ahead and Upgraded only when I press the button there was no going to the next page. There was no add onto my account so I called them the lady at the concierge and the lady handling reservations at 5:06 on 11 February was horribly rude and disgusting and I highly suggest that she no longer work there as she would not help me out she threatened to charge me for the first night because of something on her part, she would not help me. She called me a F word and told me that maybe I should go somewhere cheaper when we have Spent in the last year over about 10 grand in hotels for travel for everything with Marriott. We will never be doing this again. Attached is a video showing the conversation showing the issue and letting you know that you have an employee that needs to be let go. we will not be staying there. I've actually changed my credit card so you cannot charge it and good luck to you. We will never participate in Marriott and we will never participate in the W in Dallas. You guys are disgusting and horrible Service, and filled with lies. This is the room that they offered us for an upgrade that when we clicked it they wouldn't allow us to actually upgrade after we had already paid $1500 two nights

We decided to come here for our 12 year wedding anniversary, the rooms were nice, the front desk staff was friendly.

There's lots of homeless people outside and not safe in my opinion. Just beware when booking. There wasn't many highly rated restaurants near Omni hotel, had to drive to places. They also host lots of events outside the hotel on their lawn. Hotel is nice. Staffs are super polite and trained. Everything is clean and super decorative. Hotel has restaurants on the first floor, they have small pool, small gym, and spa which you have to pay for. I stayed for two weeks and needed my clothes washed. The hotel does have a service where they send it out to get it washed. But it was insanely expensive. To wash a shirt was around $10. It would have cost me like $150-$200 for a week worth of clothes. I drove 20 min to the nearest coin laundry and spent couple dollars. Would love to see coin laundry in the hotel. Gym: The gym has dumbbells that only go up to 75lb. No barbells. The machine to do back, arms, etc were uncomfortable to use. Pool: Pool is on the same floor as the gym. Can see downtown Dallas. I think it's infinity pool(?) but it's pointing to the hotel building rather than facing downtown Dallas. Room: Room was super nice. The A/C is amazing, works very well. As soon as I got back to room, I set room to 62F. Then to 68F when i got cold. I stayed for 14 days and found out on my last day that there's a fridge hidden in the cabinet. I was super upset about that. The soaps, shampoo, etc are nice. The staff gives you new set even if you are using them and not empty. Price: My rate was $170 through business portal. So probably cheaper. For 14 days (13 nights), I paid little over $3000 due to various taxes and parking your rental car is like $30(?) a day. Really nice hotel, fast elevators, has gym/spa, near freeway and in Downtown Dallas. I just didn't like the environment as soon as you leave the hotel, feels unsafe.

We had breakfast in the hotel and our server was helpful, friendly and had a sense of humor. We visited the pool and were surprised that it was not heated. The hotel gym was decent, could use a better (newer) bench but it had the basics. Our room had everything we needed (the bed was quite soft) and a great view of the eye across the street. My first shower would only get warm and not hot so maintenance had to come up and show me a safely button to push which allows the water to get hot. This was after texting with hotel staff (a very helpful option) but surprising that they didn't just tell me about the button and chose to send maintenance. We were in room 852 on the North side of the hotel and overlooking the eye. We came back from dinner around 10 on Saturday night and were kept awake until about 1:30am. I guess Main St is where people choose to drive their cars with the music so loud it feels as though it's in your hotel room. The motorcycles and cars also like to rev their engines.... A LOT. The windows appear to be single pane and they don't keep any noise out at all. Due to the noise level, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.  Being on the 8th floor and feeling like I was in the cars that were driving on main st and blaring music 2 nights in a row was incredibly disappointing.  If this was a 2 star hotel, okay.  That is not the case.  Upgrade the windows to double or triple pane.  Your location is great, service was friendly and efficient, but one generally wants to sleep at night and that is not possible at your hotel. We even asked the front desk on our second morning if we should change rooms and were told Sunday nights were quiet. I should have listened to my gut as our Sunday night was not quiet. Although the amount of cars & motorcycles wasn't as much as on Saturday, we still heard several cars with music blaring or motorcycles reviving their engines until around 1am. This was the beginning of a long overdue vacation and birthday celebration and it did not get started on the right foot unfortunately.

We had a broken, blinking Neon sign, a wobbly ceiling fan, broken blinds, matchbooks full of phone numbers, an unfinished manuscript, an ashtray full of cigarettes, and a dead body in the tub. Not really. But we did have a giant seven foot "desk lamp", a paintbrush and frame above our bed, and and a carpet made from Hamlet quotes in Room 704. Dining: Hamilton's is the main on-site restaurant and bar, with a host or hostess in the lobby smiling at us when we walked in. Taco Enzo and Kolache Korner are in the refurbished shipping containers in the massive parking lot. The lobby store is small and not cheap but it beats a vending machine, especially if you want an ice cream sandwich or fingernail clippers. The "South Beach" pool is saltwater, so it's softer on the skin, eyes, and hair and avoids red eyes, green hair, and pool smell. Location: Though the Cedars district is the industrial historic heart of the Dallas arts scene, it's a bit gritty and has *freeway noise*, with gentrification friction, being a patchwork of high-end luxury lofts sitting right next to dilapidated industrial warehouses, making it feel half vibrant but half abandoned. The Walkability Score is 73, thanks to massive railroad tracks, the I-30, current construction, and inconsistent sidewalks. Be warned this isn't a tree-lined, window-shopping destination like Uptown or Bishop. Finding food, a drink, and even a movie will be much easier than groceries or a pharmacy (though drugs is a different story). Service: Everyone was awesome, especially Precious, who was, like her name Precious. That explains why they don't hire Dicks.

The hotel is near by several upscale restaurants and a strip mall. The strip mall has a gas station and across in another strip mall a Potbelly Sandwich shop, Smash burger, and an upscale possibly private steak house that took over for Morton's that closed. A little further at 2100 McKinney there is the 2100 Deli that is good for a cheap fast breakfast. The hotel has the Dragonfly restaurant off the lobby. It is more of an upscale sit down experience. We had breakfast here on our previous visit and it was nice. The hotel still seems to us more like a business stay place than a family vacation type stay. However, if on another business trip to the area, we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at Hotel ZaZa in Uptown Dallas. The staff were amazing, friendly, and…read moreon top of everything. The bathroom was great, and the shower had the kind of water pressure that makes you want to stay in there longer than you should. The little extras were appreciated, especially the cookies that come out on certain days, and the morning coffee and fruit. The reason I cannot give it five stars is the overall value. The price point sits higher than what you actually get. The room furniture was pretty scratched, the bed sagged in the middle, and we had some maintenance issues on our last morning with the toilet not flushing well and the shower backing up. Nothing trip-ending, but noticeable.
