He really considers everything and never rushes an appointment. He takes time to really connect with the animal so that they feel comfortable. He checked in with us regularly and was on call for emergencies. It's clear how much he truly cares. Kramer was in so much pain and discomfort when we first brought him in 6 weeks ago. He had a UTI, heart and kidney failure, and the Fairlea Animal hospital, who had not tested his urine, gave him the wrong antibiotic for the infection. He was really straining to urinate for so long and it was just heartbreaking to watch. Dr. Mann identified the problem right away and got him on the right antibiotic. The acupuncture treatments were also tremendously helpful. Kramer passed just a few days ago (it was his time), and Dr. Mann did everything he could for him in the meantime. We appreciated that he did not simply treat him like a lost cause, even with multiple organ failure. By the end, he was so much more comfortable and at peace because of his care. We ended up having a very positive experience with his passing (as positive as losing a pet can be). Dr. Mann never gave up on Kramer, but was there to support and validate that choice when it was time. He was on call for us last weekend, and went out of his way to come to our home on a Sunday. It made such a huge difference, because we were comfortable in our backyard and got to sit with him for as long as we wanted afterwards. Dr. Mann was was so compassionate, and handled everything just perfectly. He really was a godsend. We are eternally grateful.

The room was older and has the old lodge vibe including (dispenser slot for razor blades and quirks like open the transom when you shower), and it is super clean. Great mattress, pillows, and sheets. Dispenses toiletries were nice (and agreed with my hair). No carper; new hard floor, a mini Keuirig. While its pet friendly, you would never know if. All of the rooms have doors on both the parking lot and lakeside. There is a shuttered, lockable screen door to enjoy the fresh air. Overall, our room could have used some paint and repair, but we liked the old school vibe and views. There are two great gathering areas and a big pile of board games. A fire pit. A beautiful bar and great dining room. We had dinner and breakfast here. Dinner had delicious entrees that were well prepared. The Caesar salad was excellent. My steak was excellent. My husband got the trout. It was delicious. Our breakfast was delicious and the bartender made me one of the best Bloody Marys I have ever had. The servers and staff were friendly and on top of it. They have a new manager and he was participating on the shuttle to the mountain and he was looking for ways to improve visits. We would love to return and recommend.

The Inn offers all the amenities of a rental home (fully stocked kitchen with two fridges and two dishwashers, dishes, etc), large dining room table, plenty of seating and a couple of quiet rooms to relax. The bedrooms were large, there were at least 9 of them and each had their own full bath. Comfortable temperatures from their HVAC throughout the entire house. Overall, the Inn was a comfortable way to relax after a day of fishing. There was also a grill outside and a fire pit. The location is just about 10 mins from downtown Covington, not far from other fishing areas, like Lake Moomaw and the dam there. There's plenty of parking and they have an amazing restaurant onsite, a quick walk from the Inn that's highly recommended! I look forward to returning!!

Thank god Rose's place was recommended to me by the shipper who was supposed to bring my horse back up to New England, described by him as "a place I never want to leave" when he has brought horses there over the years. Rose took my horse at the drop of a hat and cried to see his condition. In fact, she prepared me that she was not sure he would make it. Through her kindness, compassion, carefully monitored food regimen and expert veterinary care, she nursed my boy back to health. He is now as fat as ever and as happy as I've ever seen him, his nightmare but a distant memory. Rose is an angel sent here to care for every horse as an individual and to protect them as if each was her own. I will never be able to repay Rose's kindness, and my horse will never leave White Rock Manor. It is truly heaven on earth.
