It's also the best place to park if you're heading to a Jacksonville Suns game... it's literally right across the street from the main entrance to the stadium. Best thing about it? It's a garage. This means it's covered. We live in Florida. Who wants a hot car?! It's a very nice, clean, safe garage with plenty of spaces available. There's always security around, so you don't have to be worried about walking to and from your car. Pricing varies. I have parked here a couple of times for free (my daughter's high school graduation and a free Jacksonville Sharks scrimmage game). I have also parked here numerous other times for concerts, Disney on Ice, Suns baseball games, etc. and parking has been either $5 or $10. I've never had to pay more than $10. It just makes sense to park here rather than on in one of the outside lots where you'll end up paying the same amount for your car to sit in the hot sun and you'll have to walk a lot farther to get to the stadium. When we attend events at The Florida Theatre, we use the Yates Garage because of what I mentioned and that it's only $5 to park here. You can, if you are lucky, find free parking on the street, but the safety and location of Yates can't be beat. Now, when you enter, its $5 cash to the parking attendant or there is a new machine that takes debit/credit cards. Either way, you will receive a bar code slip that you must keep on you. It enables you to not only leave the garage by car when it's open but also allows you to enter and leave if you are past closing times. Tip: You must enter by car from E Adams Street, it is the only way in and out.

Come on J-ville, feature your beautiful architectural history!!! The hallway with photographs has an image of the building with other buildings including a hotel that were in the area before the great fire.

You're going to have to park on the street and feed a meter (unless you have a handicapped parking permit in which case you can park for free and aren't required to feed the meters). Parking can be quite hard to find downtown, so bring some patience with you. I remember being amazed the first time I walked into City Hall because I wasn't expecting the inside of the building to be so beautiful. It's so large and clean. I was and still am very impressed with the way the COJ keeps City Hall maintained. It is a government building, so make sure not to bring in any weapons. I really shouldn't have to say that, but I know some people do have a concealed license permit and they carry them. It can be a little confusing to navigate the building, but there are plenty of people around to help you find the office you are looking for.

He called his manager on a flip phone and had a conversation but when I asked for the phone so I could ask the man the simple question HOW MUCH there was no one on the line. He finally let me out. I reported to it the local police.

Even on busy days, there are still plenty of spaces open, you just have to drive higher to find them. (Obviously, if you drive a compact car, you have a better chance to find a more convenient spot near an elevator.) Priced reasonably, $4 for one hour, an additional $4 for the second hour but no more than $10 total. If you are on jury duty, the fee is waived with proof of jury summons. If you are an employee, you can get special monthly rates. The ground floor of the garage houses a few restaurants and cafes, convenient to the courthouse. Also, I have used this garage for free during Downtown's Art Walk (1st Wednesday of the month), but only one access door is open in the evening then, and it's the one that faces Clay Street.

I love these cool enclaves that give a city a personality. We need these neighborhoods where people can gather and just chill and meld together to be what is beyond a bunch of people, they become a community. Getting around feels simple and efficient, and for a stadium, the food and drink prices really aren't nearly as outrageous as you'd expect. One thing I especially love is that it's actually IN Jacksonville instead of being built 20+ miles outside the city it's named after like so many other stadiums. The downtown location adds so much to the experience and makes game days/events feel connected to the city itself. Already excited to see what it looks like after the renovations because the future plans sound incredible. Also, huge shoutout to Steve C. in the Gallagher Club -- hands down the best bartender in the entire stadium. Friendly, fast, and always makes the experience even better.
