I was emailed on Sunday (should have tipped me off) to set up a Google Hangout interview (I had Skype and Google Hangout interviews before) for the next day (today). I was surprised it was not a video call and we just used its chat feature. Everything sounded normal until the interviewer told me they would write me a check to set up a mini office. When I ask for a safeguard to make sure this was not a scam, the interviewer said "I guess you didn't want to work" than blocked me. I'm fresh out of college and desperate for a job. My nervousness made me overlook some red flags although I was skeptical that it was too good to be true.
