I've been to Vue at Cribbs a fair few times over the years but it had been a while before I went again on Saturday. I took my girls hot on the heels of our successful family day out the previous weekend to our local, single screen cinema. What a contrast! The entrance was fancy, the door to each screen had a great big number and star handle entrance. The screen was big and the seats were laid out well but that's as good as it got. The snacks area was deserted and having spent quite a few minutes looking for the prices of popcorn I reluctantly approached the counter to ask the price. Unsurprisingly the popcorn was very expensive but what bugged me was Vue's reluctance to clearly state what their prices were. The only thing across the top signs (like the ones you get in McDonalds) was their combo meal. Pointing this out to the member of staff who served me I was told it wasn't him who chose what goes up there. True but he could have passed on my feedback or at least act like he hasn't been told that a million times. There were two options of sizes of popcorn, 30p difference in cost between the two. So no one is going to choose the smaller size. What a choice you offer Vue. The price of the ticket was gobsmacking after my local cinema, especially for a Dad taking two young children. Going in, the cinema was empty, I would guess 10% full. Why not reduce tickets for children during the day for certain young children films. Get kids in to going to the cinema and then you can make money out of them later. Sell small children portion snacks and you'll make some of that money back. Oh and my seat was dirty. Even the VIP seats looked average compared to other places I've been. Well I won't be returning if I have a choice but I'm not turning my back on going to the cinema, there are cheaper and better options out there. Start thinking about your customer experience Vue because that's the difference between sitting at home, watching illegally downloaded films and going to the cinema. read more

Vue Cinema is a big venue, at the Venue in Cribbs Causeway and is a great accompanyment to the next-door bowling alley and games area. The Venue is always a safe-bet as the latest releases are airing and they have a selection of big and small viewing rooms. The seats are really comfy, too! I can't put my finger on it, but there's something not quite right about the cinema. It may be the bland atmosphere, or the layout-but something isn't as it shoudl be. hmmmm, i will have a ponder about that! read more

I'm not sure if this is the right listing, as there seems to be two for Vue, but I've opted for the listing with the most recent review. We are, of course, talking about the Vue cinema at Cribbs Causeway, which, a few years ago, used to be a Warner Village cinema. It's aged without grace, I'm afraid to say, even though it has some modern touches, such as touchscreen ticket machines. The seats inside some of the auditoriums are worn out, a bit smelly and not as comfortable as some other cinemas. However, you can still catch a film here that might usually only ever see the light of day at somewhere like the Watershed, so it's nice that the manager thinks of everyone. There's also great parking, and plenty of choice if you fancy a nearby bite to eat. read more

If you've got little monsters, then the Vue Cinema at Cribbs Causeway is a godsend come Saturday or Sunday morning. For as little as 95 pence per person you can take them along to a selected film and shelter from the rain for a couple of hours. Given, not all the latest releases are available through this deal, but it can work out a hell of a lot cheaper for a family on a budget. You can also pick up a kids combo meal deal (popcorn, drink and chocolate bar) for £2.50. Check the website for full details of the film available (www.myvue.com) as it changes weekly. It's also worth asking the staff, as on my last visit I discovered there were two films being shown through the deal and only one was advertised on its site. And it gets even better. The deal is also available every morning throughout the school holidays. Yes, the cinema is a bit dated compared to some of its competitors - but do the kids really care about the decor? And saving money certainly keeps the parents happy ... read more

Our fair city has four multiplexes in total, though this the only one of them located in north Bristol. It is, however, up in Cribbs Causeway, so you'll probably need a car to get there. It's got 12 screens, every one of them clogged up with the most unimaginitive programming possible, featuring all the latest hits from Hollywood. They do run a very cheap kids' club though (adults get in for £1 too), and unlike their rivals this runs on Sunday mornings as well as on Saturdays. Beyond that it's your average multiplex cinema sitting in a massive car park alongside a McDonald's, a Frankie and Benny's and the like. Okay if you like that kind of thing, pretty depressing if you don't. read more

The Vue at Cribbs is pretty dated and i imagine it is beginning to find it pretty hard to compete with the other Cinemas that are now in the city centre. As a result it is slightly cheaper than places like the Showcase at Cabot. It is much the same as any other enormous multiplex cinema, popcorn scattered across the black carpeted floor and the smell of sweets and drinks that will never quite leave the place rush up your nostrils when you walk in. It shows the same Hollywood dross as every multiplex in the country, and city for that matter. It does the job but is nowhere near as swanky as the Showcase at Cabot. read more

I thought this cinema was pretty okay when I came here, its great that there is a cinema option in North Bristol. However with the advent of the Showcase Cinema, its looking a little sad. The reason to go here would be to avail of the special offers and promotions that means you can go to cinema here for next to nothing. However even though I have been sent promotions where I could go there for 1 pound, I've just though "meh, I'd have to shlep the other side of Bristol to get there". However if you live nearby it can represent good value. read more

Vue food for thought- Try Keeping your DIRTY cinemas clean and people may actually want to watch movies there - LONGWELL GREEN BRISTOL - Coke/drink spilt all over the cup holders in VIP seats - sticky sweets,chocolate stuck to the seats....and all this after covid ‍ customer service unwilling to help as they expected me to stand in a que with a crying 7 year old to wait to complain about my experience. read more

Been going to this cinema for years and I can't remember ever having anything but a great time. Very popular cinema due to its location in Cribbs Causeway and right by TGI Fridays, Burger King, Nandos, Bella Italia, Hollywood Bowl, Chiquttos, it makes the perfect meal and movie location. Staff are always friendly and the cinema is always well maintained. read more

I'm happy with the theater. I like that I don't need to walk far from my car to the front door. They keep it clean. And you can buy your own ticket at a kiosk. read more

Vue Cinemas - France 2012 - Cinema Near Me - Bristol, BST

I live about 20 miles away from this Vue Cinema. However for the last decade I have always made that trip to come here. Even back when it was Warner Bros. I've been to most of the major Cinema chains in Somerset and I have to say I'm a loyal customer to Vue now. Parking is fine. There is a huge car park that shares the complex. I have only once failed to find a space and that was on the day of release. So if you are planning on going during a busy period, get there early or park in the Mall parking area across the road. The seating is excellent, you are given more personal space than I've found in any other cinema and the seats are firm and provide decent support for long periods of seating. The technology here is always up to date and they offer incredible experiences in their Xtreme viewings. Their screen sizes blow most of the local competition out of the water. My only issue is the cost, it is not cheap. With an adult ticket to a 3D film costing up to and over £12, not including glasses (so I'm told, I haven't been to a 3D screening recently). And let's not get started on the food and drink... Though I will say Vue beats any service station and even most Airports when it comes to the high cost of a can of Red Bull... The price isn't enough to put me off going though. If you want a good experience you will have to pay for it. However Vue are just a tad pricier than they should be.. read more

The staff were friendly, however I had to wait in line a very long time to get a drink/ice cream as it was very busy. Same with the toilets afterwards. Nice big screens, and great sound, very clean inside, would go back again, but perhaps not on a Saturday night. read more

This ia very large cinema with well stocked food, and many films of all varieties available. The parking is shared with other nearby resturants et cetera and parking can become hard to find in busy periods. The cinema itself is generaly very clean, and staff seem semi-helpful. Prices of tickets are a bit heavier, but you can book from online, and use automated machines to speed up the process. The seating in the cinema is better than that of the odeon and other cinemas. They also offer discounts for students, pentioners and registered disabled (with carers). Disabled parking and seating is available. read more

Great cinema would highly recommend it, loved VIP seats but hate the fact I paid for them then had to turf somone one out who was sat in my seat! Tbh they were a little rude about how they were comfy and that they got the seat warm for me but I paid for them do never felt guilt. Really good selection of food there and good selection of restrant near by as well read more

i love the vue cinema complex in cribbs causeway! a great cinema with friendly staff, i espeically like the fanta frozens they sell.

This is a lovely set out, up to date cinema. The service is good and it is genuinely clean. The toilets are keep quite up to date and it is situated very near other aminitys such as, Hollywood Bowl, some restaurants and the Mall Cribbs Causeway. The only down side is the prices for food and drink and the tickets are not that cheap either unless you watch a film on a Saturday or Sunday morning, selected films only for £1.50 per child and a adult goes free. Any extra adults are also charge £1.50 each. read more
