Let me start off by saying that when you have cancer it is never easy, but everyone here really tried to do their best to treat us with respect, care and professionalism. There is not much these people can do to change your circumstances but they do try to make their part as painless as possible. Dr. Mekhail's administrative assistant, Teri, is incredible. She keeps a thousand balls up in the air at once and never drops one of them. She comes to the phone when you call, she sets up all of your appointments for their office as well as for scans and blood work or any other testing done outside of their office. She has incredible follow through and she knows who you are when you call or come in. Thank You Teri. Dr. Mekhail's nurse and now part of the protocol research team is Tammy. During the first few appointments Tammy showed such kindness, patience, grace and offered us so much comfort that we will be eternally grateful. She was also full of information and little tips of how to deal with what was going to be happening. Thank You Tammy. In the chemo room a special thank you to Robert and Mel and there was one other woman, a black woman who I apologize - I don't know her name, who treated my friend with such tenderness and warmth AND expertise. You all made the rigors of chemo palatable. Thank you. There are times you will wait. They are incredibly busy. My friend grew impatient at the wait at times, understandably so, she was usually in pain, exhausted, nauseous and anxious. For me, sitting in the chair next to her, I understood the waits. So, There but for the grace of God go I, if I were diagnosed with cancer tomorrow would I go to the Cancer Institute of Florida? Yes, I would. Thank you all for your care during a difficult time.

My doctor is Dr. Kristy magee and she is the best doctor I've ever had. in my 20 years of seeing her she has always been very compassionate of all my illnesses. My husband also goes to her as well and she has helped us through many situations that other doctors would have a wait-and-see attitude. 2 years ago when my husband was very sick she even gave us her cell phone number to contact her if there were any changes in his health. The staff is always very friendly and helpful at both Sanford and Lake Mary office. Like all doctors offices, they are overwhelmed so you will have to stay on top of things if you want to get your results. They do offer a health Portal that you can log into to get your results right away. If you're looking for a great doctor in Sanford or Lake Mary go to Dr. Kristy Magee!

The anesthesiologist did not bill for a year so we didn't even know we had any bills left and then we received a bill for $1000 which if it was in Network would've been zero. We then had two family members have a colonoscopy in the last year also at this facility. The doctor was in net work the facility was in Network but the anesthesiologist again was out of network. We were billed $500 for each Colonoscopy and we're also not billed for nine months after the test was done. We were not informed that it was an out of network provider and they are now demanding payment. It is the facility that sets up the anesthesiologist so they are responsible for not using the proper provider for our services and not informing us of an out of network provider. Therefore I would not recommend them to other people and I would not use their services as they are not upfront and honest with their providers and insurance claims which leaves the customer owing large bills.

Doctors are not God, they don't know everything....they are practicing medicine......If you think for your self and question things, you're dropped. Shameful! I was dropped with no notice (the professional thing to do is send the patient a letter to let them know why the office doesn't want to see them and recommend another doctor). When I called in this past spring to set an appointment and to my surprise I was told I can't come in. I had never missed an appointment, been late or missed a payment in years. I was given NO notice of any kind! Why would I set an appointment if I had been dropped? I was shocked and did not know why. Their answer was pathetic. Bottom line is if you dare think of your self and question things that goes against their totalitarian way, you're gone. Also, they're terrible about returning calls in a timely manner. I'm talking 2-3 messages were left over several days with no response. You just get bounced around too much but mostly not called back at all. Do not fill out the "how are we doing" surveys, they'll use those against you! There's plenty of other better doctors out there, do your research!

This is by no means an exaggeration as I have witnessed him not only care for myself but my entire family for years. He even made multiple house visits during the unfortunate time when my mother was fighting lung cancer and was too ill to travel, refusing to charge for them as well. The downside is that as of my writing this he is only in his office on Wednesdays as he still is a practicing ER doctor as well. He also tends to run behind on office days due to the limited appointments available as well as the fact that he spends a lot of time with each patient. It is my opinion that the level of care far outweighs any of the cons in working with him. Some people are just born to be and do certain things, "Dr. A" has found his true calling as a doctor. After moving back to Orlando, I am so happy to see he is practicing again and his office is near my new home. He is the primary doctor for my entire family. He offers solutions that are beyond medicinal and also offers holistic approaches for those who are interested in that path. He sits with you as long as he needs to in the room and listens to all of your concerns. He cares for your well-being and orders really detailed check-ups to truly see your condition and explore the core root of your problems instead of just masking them with medication. I am so happy to have landed again in this office and I am so happy he is our family doctor again. The only downside to his office are the wait times but I must say its worth it. It may get frustrating waiting beyond your appointment time but when you are inside and he is giving you that individual attention you are so thankful you waited. I always leave satisfied. Very happy with Dr. Alatriste and I highly recommend him!!

A lady by the name of Sam who works in his office is very helpful and kind as well. However, for me Debbie, who I think may be his Office Manager is the absolute best! Debbie goes above and beyond anything anyone could ever hoped for. She is not only kind, sympathetic and supportive (a rare find these days in any doctors office) she is compassionate. She took calls when there was no reason for her to except that's how amazing and accessible she was when I just needed to vent. She made time to listen, offer words of encouragement and try to help in any way possible. She is truly the Rock Star!
