**Note that you won't find this review on the company's website because the owner, Jaime Dovale,…read moreremoves all negative reviews ... which, in addition to being deliberately deceptive and dishonest, obviously defeats the purpose of reviews.** Certified. Automotive. Disaster. Without question, this was the worst experience I've ever had as a consumer of any product or service (I'm 58) ... nothing else even comes close. This saga spanned over 2 1/2 years ... it wasn't an isolated incident, and certainly not an outlier. I made the terrible mistake of trusting Jaime Dovale to do a full body-off overhaul of my 2006 Jeep Wrangler, and I couldn't have made a worse choice. Dovale said he was capable of doing the job and estimated that it would take 4-5 weeks. The scope of the project modestly increased as we proceeded, but I ultimately didn't get my Jeep back for 6 months (25 weeks to be exact) ... and only then after frequent visits to check on the status and many requests for completion. When I finally picked up my Jeep, Dovale's endless drivel and empty promises collided with reality ... and reality has prevailed from that day on. I received an absolute mess with which I've been dealing ever since ... a vehicle so riddled with problems that I had to take it back to Certified Automotive Disasters 15 times in the next 13 months ... appalling by any standard. Just think about how insane that is ... 15 times, AFTER he did a full overhaul (ultimately, 17 times in 25 months). And I also had to schedule 3 appointments with a local Jeep dealer and 1 appointment with an auto glass shop to fix problems that Dovale was unwilling to acknowledge, incapable of fixing, or both ... for a grand total of 21 returns in 26 months to fix virtually everything he and his hack techs touched ... and problems remain to this day. Dovale ruined a vehicle that I bought new and had always meticulously maintained ... I now have problems that didn't previously exist (most infuriatingly, water leaks thanks to Dovale's hack body work ... which means my interior gets soaked every time it rains), and he doesn't have the ability or integrity to fix them. NAPA has a limited two-year warranty on its parts and labor, but it turned out that much of the hack work that Dovale did on my Jeep wasn't covered. Yet Dovale falsely claimed, repeatedly, that ALL of his work was covered by a two-year warranty ... a complete lie. He finally admitted (via text) that, actually, he has no written warranty ... which means no warranty exists ... by far, Dovale is the most dishonest businessperson I've ever encountered. I complained to NAPA about a rear main seal leak that Dovale failed to fix twice, and that he then denied was even leaking ... after the local Jeep dealer confirmed that it was the seal, NAPA paid for me to have it repaired at that dealer ... I have the reimbursement check to prove it. Whoever heard of an auto repair shop that is so incompetent that they pay to have the work done at a dealer? I certainly hadn't ... until Certified Automotive Disasters. There isn't enough space in this review to explain all of his careless, sloppy, incompetent mistakes, including many that put my safety at risk ... far worse than a bad DIY job. I've had exponentially more problems since Dovale 'fixed' my Jeep than I did in the previous 15 years combined ... body work, clutch, 4WD, wheel balancing, steering/suspension, exhaust/tailpipe, check engine light, alternator, rear main seal, door seals, header seal, windshield, rear wiper, tailgate hinges/alignment, headlight alignment, turn signals, damage to interior, and the list goes on. And on top of the mind-boggling list of problems/mistakes/errors, the stress, inconvenience, and disruption to my life that he caused is incalculable ... constant and nonstop. I wouldn't trust Dovale to properly inflate a tire ... but if you don't value your vehicle, your money, or your time, then Certified Automotive Disasters is the place for you.

I couldn't recommend Jaime, Steve and the team at Certified Automotive more. they are honest,…read morethorough, have very reasonable pricing, communicative, and professional. When my 2017 Audi went out of warranty, I started going to Certified after first referring a friend based on another friends recommendation. I couldn't be happier. I never again have to be worried about work being completed properly or being overcharged. Never. I really like them a lot. A++

At that date the shop called me stating that Id have to have the right tire rod replaced in order for the alignment to be completed. I agreed and paid for the additional job. After picking up my car it was doing this thing where the whole car wobbled. I brought it back and they said it just needed to be realigned and it was all set. A day later it started wobbling again, its been brought back 5 times. The 5th time they then state that the axel is damaged. After not honoring the fact that it took 5 times for them to see this and honoring a decent repair price they stated they would just replace my old rims but I would have to return on Monday at 8am. Monday at 8am I return and leave my car to be completed. I call at 1pm and am told my car's being worked on but is not ready yet. I call back at 4pm, no answer, I call back at 5pm, no answer. They close at 530pm. They call me at 517pm with additional charges, which is not what was agreed upon on Saturday when we were in the shop. So they have wasted 6 days, damaged my car further, charged for unnecessary repairs and refused to replace my old rims. Also- they refuse to give any contact information for the "boss" who is making these decisions.

I'll preface this review by noting I dealt with the folks on the Wholesale side…read more AC was a pleasure to deal with. He was friendly and professional. I ordered 2 tires Friday, and had an appointment for Tuesday. Last time I had 2 tires put on (not here) I had to wait ~90 minutes. It took these guys 30 minutes, max. Great price, service and super fast! Would highly recommend.

Town Fair Tire - Saugus, MA The service at this location is…read moreconsistently poor. It takes them 10-15 minutes just to write up a simple order. If two customers are ahead of you, you'll be standing there for close to 30 minutes before anyone even starts helping you. There is no sense of urgency or efficiency. The pricing is also misleading. They quote you a tire price that sounds reasonable, but the moment you agree, they start adding extra charges for installation, balancing, and road-hazard insurance. Those added fees easily push the total up by $100 or more for a set of four tires. When I questioned their "price match" claim--because they advertise that they won't be beat--they admitted they only match the tire price, not the full, real-world cost of getting the tires on your car. Meanwhile, Costco's price includes installation, balancing, and road-hazard coverage. So no, Town Fair does not actually match Costco. This isn't a one-time issue. I've been here before over the years and it's always the same routine: an attractive price up front, followed by a higher final bill once all the extra charges appear. It comes across as a bait-and-switch tactic, and they've been doing it for years. If you want fast service and an honest, all-inclusive price, go to Costco. They can write up your order in under five minutes, and the price they tell you is the price you pay. Town Fair's claim that they "won't be beat" simply isn't true once you look at the full cost.
